Azimut Strengthens Spain Presence with Two New Grande Boutique

The Spanish market for Azimut continues to grow thanks to the historic collaboration with Marina Estrella and the new agreement between Bates Wharf and the Spanish MXG Yachts that targets English owners in Spain.  Strategically reinforcing its presence in the region, Azimut announces the opening of two Grande Boutiques, one in Palma de Mallorca and the other in Madrid.  Azimut, world leader in the production of yachts from 13 to 44 meters, continues to consolidate its presence in the Spanish market, strengthening its position as a point of reference for customers who are looking for new and cutting-edge solutions through the growth of its network of partners and dedicated services.  For more than ten years, the main reference for Spanish owners has been Marina Estrella, the exclusive Azimut dealer in Spain. This partnership, based on a common strategy and shared values, has allowed Azimut to become a synonym for excellence in the yachting sector. Marina Estrella, with its deep knowledge of the local market, represents a fundamental pillar in the Shipyard's expansion strategy and consolidation in Spain.  Among the most recent developments, a new strategic collaboration has begun between Bates Wharf – official dealer of Azimut Yachts in the United Kingdom – and MXG Yachts – a Spanish broker with over 37 years of experience in yacht sales, brokerage and after-sales service. This partnership, aimed at offering a service dedicated to English owners in Spain, underlines Azimut's commitment to providing continuous assistance in one of its most relevant markets. With the professionalism and combined experience of Bates Wharf and MXG Yachts, owners will be able to count on excellent coverage and personalized services along the Spanish coast.  As part of its expansion strategy in Spain, Azimut has inaugurated two new offices: the Grande Boutique in Palma de Mallorca’s Puerto Portals and the Grande Boutique in Madrid. These exclusive locations are dedicated to offering personal service to owners of the Grande Series, the line of yachts from 26 to 44 meters, ensuring continuous support to meet their needs.  The Grande Boutique in Puerto Portals attracts a growing clientele that is increasingly interested in purchasing large yachts, in one of the regions that has become a reference hub for international yachting. The Madrid Boutique, strategically located in the Spanish capital, aims to ensure careful attention to the demanding local owners by assisting them in the various phases of the purchase and post-sale process of the Grande Series. The Azimut Grande collection is experiencing a wave of great fortune in Spain. The recent delivery of a Grande Trideck in the Balearics and of a Grande 27M in collaboration with Marina Estrella are testaments to this success.  Enrico Chiaussa, Azimut Chief Commercial Officer EMEA – APAC, comments: “The Spanish market is strategically important for us, both for the Spanish and international owners that we have been serving for over a decade with the precious support of Marina Estrella, as well as the numerous English owners established in Spain. Super Yachts Collision in Bodrum Turkey

Two super yachts, the 90m m/y Ice and thirty meter m/y A.Mey collided in Yalikavak, Bodrum, Turkey on the afternoon of Friday thirtieth August. The causes of the collision remain unknown, with the larger yacht going under way into the smaller vessel, as this at anchor and moored astern with two lines.  A video posted on various social media outlets shows the bigger Ice crashing on the port side of the smaller yacht and then rotating her by ninety degrees.  The smaller yacht received important damage to its flybridge, and port side area, with the larger yacht receiving what looks cosmetic scratch damage to its bow and port side.  Nearby boaters rushed to the scene following the collision to help the smaller yacht, with the Turkish Guvenik Coast Guard coming later to the assistance of the smaller yacht first and report on this collision.  No one was injured in the collision, considering there was eleven people on the smaller A. Mey, which is in itself a miracle seeing the gravity of the impact.
M/y Ice is a fully custom Lurssen 90.1 meter launched in 2005 as designed by Tim Heywood for the exterior and interior by Terrence Disdale.  The smaller A.Mey is a 2007 Numarine 102 RPH to a design of Tomasso Spadolini.  A.Mey should be hull #1 of the 102 RPH series which sold six units till 2015.

Project: ISA Yachts Extra X98 RPH

ISA present the project for the Extra X98 RPH, a contemporary styled super yacht with two and a half decks albeit the volumes of the latter are considerably deceived by the design of the exterior lines. An elegant and neat looking super yacht which is also endowed with large indoor and outdoor living space.  In addition to the saloon designed to form a unicum with the aft cockpit, the main deck harbours the large owner cabin in the forward part, the galley and a day-head. The lower deck layout offers four double cabins with private bathrooms, while the helm station is located on the mezzanine where a staircase allows to reach the splendid sun deck.  Over 140sqm of internal guest areas and over 100sqm of outdoor spaces make Extra X98 RPH incredibly versatile yet compact and very sinuous.  The interior style is free from clutter with clean lines, soft geometric shapes and natural materials such as unstained oak and stone. The ISA Yachts Extra X98 RPH, is to be powered by triple Volvo 1000hp with IPS pod drives propulsion, for a top speed up to 28 knots, a cruise of 22, and a twelve knots to give a range up to 1,200 nautical miles.

New Model: Toy 51 Fly

As with the Toy 36, Toy Marine has developed the Toy 51 in the Fly version with a second helm station on a fly bridge deck, very convenient for maneuvering and traveling along the coast, which integrates perfectly into the classic and elegant line of the down East look traditional yacht. A comfortable access staircase to starboard leads to the upper helm, which is located in a central position with a single settee. The Toy 51 Fly bridge also offers additional relaxation areas with two sun-pads located to both sides of the central helm. The Toy 51 offers a cabin with two cabins, including of which is an owners cabin forward and en-suite shower head to port side, and second guest cabin to port side with a private head. A one berth crew cabin with shower head is located to port side. The living and galley are all located on the main deck, these located in the protected area, with a two sun-pads, and forward looking settee located on open aft deck. The Toy 51 Fly is standard powered by twin Volvo 600hp with IPS pod drives, located centrally and extended via jack shaft, showing a technical sensibility to the yachts center of gravity.  For those more traditional Toy Marine has build 51 model with shaft drives, so I believe this is still possible.  As the case of any Toy Marine, subject to technicalities the 51 Fly is customizable to a buyers and future owners request.

Project: Arksen 65

Following the launching of its 85 model, already delivered in two units, Arksen present the project for a smaller 65 as designed by Humphreys for both exterior and naval architecture, with interiors by Design Unlimited.  Like its bigger sister the Arksen 65 has been designed to be able to travel anywhere that her larger sister-ships can, and provide the space and capacity for a couple, family or small group to live and voyage comfortably for extended periods. Due to the limited fixed air draft, the Arksen 65 has the ability to explore Europe’s canals with their low bridges.  The Arksen 65 is to feature an aft deck C-shaped dining and lounging area settee for eight persons, with a raised exterior helm position featuring optional glazing, that not only provides exhilarating views of what's to come but also protects those on the aft deck from the elements.  Once inside the Arksen 65 will offer un-interrupted sight-lines throughout the saloon, with the main deck offering fantastic viewing of the surroundings.  As with the upper deck, the joinery and layout has been designed to create minimal visual clutter and allow a connection to nature throughout the length of the yacht.  Offering three double cabins all with a private bathroom, the lower deck of the Arksen 65 continue the exquisite finishing touches but instead of un-interrupted sight lines it has been designed to feel cozy and encourage relaxation and enable owners and guests to get away from it all.  The interior of the Arksen 65 is about functionality, beauty and sustainability, giving a calming ambience throughout, focusing on light and airy spaces. An environmental approach was at the heart of the design process, with materials selected to enhance the experience onboard, while minimizing damage to the environment where possible. The Arksen 65 is to be powered by twin 165hp hybrid engines with line shaft propulsion, protected with a skeg what will give a cruising speed of nine knots for a range up to 3700 nautical miles.

Project: Hinckley Picnic Boat 39

Hinckley take the down east traditional lobster boat concept and move it forward with the project for this upcoming Picnic Boat 39.  A completely new project the Picnic Boat 39 is not a new upper structure mold on the smaller 37 or bit larger 40, she is wider to the smaller and less wide to the bigger, with a hull which sports a pure deep-V deadrise of 22 degrees.  Classic as a Hinckley, the Picnic Boat 39 re-invents the spaces on the main deck, with an asymmetric layout which uses the space from fore to aft, with a corridor to port side, which takes guests to a forward C-shaped settee.  Something never seen on a down east boat till today.  Thinking you lost the space for this, not so much as the Picnic Boat 39 offers a similar lower deck to that of the Picnic Boat 40 minus the lower deck galley, with a double berth forward, and a shower head to starboard.  The Hinckley Picnic Boat 39 is to be powered by twin Volvo 480hp with Hamilton jet drives for speeds up to 36 knots and a cruise of 34.
