Apremare Refit Division Brings New Life to Historic Gozzo

Just a few months after its official launch, Apreamare Refit has already earned the trust of Apreamare owners, having successfully initiated and completed its first refit projects and securing a good number of ongoing negotiations and bookings for future work.  Through the new refit business unit, located in a 3,000-square-meter warehouse adjacent to the Torre Annunziata production facility, the shipyard offers a full range of restoration and modernization services exclusively for Apreamare boats. All projects will preserve the uniqueness of the brand and the boats, leveraging the expertise that only Apreamare can offer to make them last even longer.  The services offered by the Shipyard include complete replacement of the teak deck and swim platform, hull repainting, onboard systems upgrades, and interior renovations. Each project is made to measure with the expertise and passion that have always distinguished Apreamare, reflecting a profound respect for tradition and the desire to maintain, with a contemporary perspective, the authentic soul of the Gozzo. With over 2,000 boats across the world’s seas, Apreamare confirms its determination to accompany its owners over time, ensuring longevity, safety, and timeless style.  “The beauty of every Apreamare refit lies in our ability to preserve the original soul of our boats while adressing the evolving desires of those who live them. It’s a work of listening, memory, and expert hands: a return to the most authentic essence of our naval art,” comments Cataldo Aprea, President of Apreamare.

Arksen and Rad Propulsion Announce Strategic Partnership

Arksen, a pioneer in sustainable marine vessel design, and RAD Propulsion, a leader in electric and autonomous marine propulsion, are delighted to announce a strategic commercial partnership aimed at redefining the future  of marine mobility across leisure, commercial, and defence sectors.  The collaboration will see the two companies co-develop a series of advanced vessel–propulsion platforms, pairing Arksen’s cutting-edge vessel architecture with RAD Propulsion’s next-generation electric drive and autonomy systems. Together, the brands will bring to market a revolutionary class of clean, intelligent, and highly proficient marine craft.  This partnership marks a significant step forward in the marine industry's transition towards decarbonisation and smarter vessel operations. By combining forces, Arksen and RAD Propulsion will create integrated solutions that are not only environmentally responsible,
but also offer superior performance, reliability, and mission-specific adaptability.  "This is a big leap," said Jasper Smith, Founder of Arksen. "We’re thrilled to join forces with RAD Propulsion, whose innovation in power and autonomy aligns perfectly with our mission to craft more sustainable, resilient marine systems. Together, we’re  creating vessels that will lead the market, from ocean tourism to tactical operations."  The partnership launches with three active development projects: A rugged inflatable boat featuring RAD Propulsion’s Power console, a fully integrated, cable-free helm system tailored for eco-tourism and cruise operators and defence applications.  A next-gen RHIB platform optimised for RAD’s latest electric drive systems.  Custom variations for autonomous patrol boats, tactical craft, and U.S. market pontoons, designed for mission-specific performance and scalability.  Dan Hook, CEO of RAD Propulsion, commented: "By integrating RAD Propulsion's technology, the partnership will push the boundaries on what’s possible for electric-powered vessels in remote and challenging environments, reducing the reliance on fossil fuels.  Arksen’s design and market reach, combined with our propulsion and autonomy stack, makes for a powerful offering across the marine landscape. Both companies are also committed to ensuring that this collaboration has a lasting positive impact on the  environment, aligning with the growing demand for green energy.  The partnership is structured around a lean, innovation-led working model, with a joint working party driving monthly development sprints, go-to-market strategies, and prototyping. The companies aim to maintain at least three active development projects at all times, enabling rapid response to market opportunities while keeping capital outlay low.  This strategic alliance sets the stage for a new era of marine innovation, combining beauty, intelligence, and sustainability in one integrated package.

Azimut Launches Neuron Digital Yacht Management System

Demonstrating its pioneering approach to innovation, Azimut introduces for the first time "Neuron", the fully digital system that redefines the navigation experience, making it more intuitive, immediate, and safe than ever.  Azimut confirms its leadership in innovation, marking a new milestone in the digitalization of the onboard experience with "Neuron." The owner is at the center of a technological experience that prioritizes simplicity and efficiency, because time at sea should be lived without limits.  Neuron is the new digital electrical system developed by Azimut Technical Development in partnership with MDP Tech, designed for smarter yacht management. This technological innovation is not an end in itself, but rather a service to the owner: yacht automation, diagnostics, and surveillance can now be controlled both via app and remotely, concretely improving life on board.  Thanks to Neuron, owners can benefit from an advanced yacht automation system, which, with a customizable interface, allows both control of various systems and remote analysis of the vessel. For example, lighting, climate control, and entertainment systems can be fully managed, both onboard and remotely.  Neuron also allows for remote monitoring and diagnostics with constant control, reducing routine and extraordinary maintenance by 70%. Additionally, upon customer request, it offers a smart assistance service, allowing after-sales technicians—while fully respecting customer privacy—to directly access the system to perform precise and timely diagnoses, minimizing response times. For example, if the owner needs to update the entertainment system or encounters a malfunction, activating remote support would allow for an immediate resolution, avoiding the need for in-person intervention.  Reliability and responsiveness are also guaranteed by a design approach based on a thorough risk analysis, which allows the system to minimize disruptions due to potential issues, both at sea and on land. The system itself is designed for plug & play, allowing for the rapid replacement of individual components—starting with the control units—making interventions quick and effective.  The indirect benefits are also evident. The first, and most immediate, is the 50% reduction in wiring weight, which allows for exceptional optimization of the technical spaces and frees up space on board for other functions. Furthermore, thanks to the sophisticated power management system, electricity consumption is precisely adjusted based on actual needs, minimizing any waste. Finally, by simplifying the organization of the electrical system, it increases the vessel's overall reliability.  "Neuron is a highly innovative system. It is a useful, practical innovation, not an end in itself, but a powerful means. Neuron truly improves the owner's life, not only allowing them to monitor their vessel from home and directly manage certain systems with great ease, but also performing diagnostic tests and reducing unscheduled maintenance. And, at the same time, it allows us as a shipyard to offer an even more reliable product. All this allows us to offer the owner a more peaceful and happy onboard experience," comments Ruggero Gandolfi, Azimut’s Technical Director.  Neuron has completed a six-month experimental installation on board an Azimut Fly 53 and is about to enter the final verification and testing phase, before becoming the new standard for Azimut boats up to 80 feet in length in the near future.

Feadship Heritage Joins Dutch Royal Yacht Piet Hein

Tuesday evening, the Dutch Royal yacht Piet Hein was officially welcomed into the Feadship Heritage Fleet during a formal ceremony. The gathering brought together representatives from the National Maritime Museum, SAIL, Stichting Piet Hein, Feadship and members of the FHF board.  Representing SAIL were Chairman Mr Woltering, Treasurer Mr Parmet, Mr Stunnenberg (board member), and Adjutant Mr Soetendaal. The Piet Hein was represented by Vice-Chairman Mr Post and Secretary Mr Kodde of the namesake foundation.  The Feadship Heritage Fleet is an association of owners of classic Feadships that are at least thirty years old. The organisation is dedicated to preserving these vessels, sharing knowledge, and organising joint activities on the water.  The 31-metre motor yacht Piet Hein was gifted by the Dutch people to Princess Juliana and Prince Bernhard in 1937 to mark their wedding. It was designed by the renowned naval architect Henri W. de Voogt, whose design language and vision greatly influenced the evolution of Dutch yachtbuilding. De Voogt is widely regarded as a key figure in the early history of Feadship – a fact that grants this yacht a special place within the maritime heritage that Feadship represents.  Since 1980, Piet Hein has been under the care of the Stichting Piet Hein (Piet Hein Foundation), which keeps her operational and meticulously maintained with the help of volunteers.  The membership was formally confirmed during the ceremony by the signing of the certificate and the placement of the Feadship Heritage Fleet insignia on board. Wim van Kampen, Chairman of the Feadship Heritage Fleet, underscored the importance of preserving the Dutch sailing heritage in his speech: “This is the unifying mission of the 85 members of our fleet: to safeguard these unique vessels for future generations.”  As a mark of her historical and symbolic significance, Piet Hein was named flagship of the Feadship Heritage Fleet and went on to lead 35 FHF yachts into Amsterdam during the Sail-in of SAIL.

Leopard Sets New Warranty

Leopard Catamarans, the industry-leading, performance-driven blue water cruising catamaran brand from South African builder Robertson and Caine (R&C), has announced the launch of its enhanced warranty offering that leverages over five decades of customer feedback and industry-leading digital technology. Fine-tuned over the past year, the extensive warranty program is designed to provide catamaran owners with exceptional support and peace of mind, no matter where they may be in their Leopard Catamaran journey.  Leopard Catamarans’ comprehensive dual warranty framework combines builder and OEM coverage with real-time digital tracking and global service network integration, streamlining submissions while reducing response times to deliver maximum asset protection.  The R&C builder warranty provides 14-month protection against construction defects, from cosmetic imperfections to installation issues, plus extended 24-month coverage for non-structural windows, recognizing the unique stresses of marine environments. Long-term structural assurance continues with six-year coverage for hulls, decks, deck lids, flybridges, bulkheads, and structural webs, providing Leopard Catamaran owners with lasting confidence in their investment’s fundamental integrity.  The OEM warranty ensures all onboard systems are covered by each manufacturing partner. Varying in length and coverage, once owners are registered with Yanmar, Northern Lights, and Raymarine, Leopard Catamarans will act as the owner’s single liaison, removing the complexity of managing multiple manufacturer relationships.  Further simplifying the claims process, Leopard Catamarans has developed a warranty portal on its website. A dedicated team at Leopard Catamarans reviews each submitted claim and offers owners status updates through Trello, a web-based workflow application. Leopard Catamarans’ claims process provides real-time claim transparency, connecting owners directly with support teams, engineers, and R&C technicians through shared status updates, progress notes, and live commentary throughout the repair process. Whether the issue falls under the R&C warranty or OEM, Leopard Catamaran will assign a warranty customer support agent to the claim, who will help evaluate and process the claim from start to finish. That same agent remains the owner’s main point of contact for all aspects of the warranty claim, from revising or approving estimates, payments, and reimbursements. Leopard Catamarans’ global network spans six continents and more than 20 countries, providing owners with worldwide support when and where they need it. Prioritizing getting owners back on the water as quickly as possible, Leopard Catamarans works with qualified service centers for R&C warranty work, or the owner’s preferred yard for smaller repairs. OEM claims require a specialized approach: Leopard resolves straightforward issues directly, but complex engine or electronics problems involve certified technicians and authorized service centers.  “The goal with our warranty program is simple: to give Leopard owners the confidence and clarity they deserve. By combining decades of customer feedback with new digital tools and a truly global service network, we’ve created a system that prioritizes fast, transparent support, no matter where in the world our owners are cruising,” said Jese Vega, Warranty and Commissioning Manager at Leopard Catamarans.  With more than 50 years of listening, learning, and evolving, Leopard Catamarans’ extended warranty coverage is built on real owner experiences and insights. Taking a customer-centric approach that centers on owner satisfaction, Leopard Catamarans aims to provide all with the best catamaran and experience, no matter the circumstances.

Oceanco Yard Sold to Video Game Developer Gabe Newell

This isn’t about decks and PowerPoints. Gabe’s interest in Oceanco comes from somewhere else entirely, more personal. A lifelong fascination with the sea. A deep respect for the people who live and work on it. And a belief that yachting is about tuning in. To the ocean. To yourself. To what really matters.  Gabe spent his life building companies that don’t exactly follow the script. Valve was never about market domination or quarterly wins, it was about giving smart people the space to build weird, wonderful things that changed how people play.  That same spirit draws him to Oceanco. His first decision? Leave the team alone. Seriously. Oceanco has vision and integrity, and a culture that actually works. Gabe doesn’t want to fix it, he wants to fuel it.  And not with corporate buzzwords. With trust. With tools. With unexpected ideas from unexpected places.  Because here is the thing: Gabe sees the world as full of crossovers. What happens when you let yachtbuilders talk to worldbuilders? When craftsmen get access to tech usually reserved for game devs and mad scientists? You get innovation that doesn’t just look good. It feels good.  Gabe is not here for gadgets. He is here for growth the human kind. He wants Oceanco to push harder on what it already does best: putting people first. That means more collaboration, more autonomy, and a mindset geared toward long-term evolution not just short-term wins. This isn’t about buying a yacht company. It’s about plugging into a tribe of builders, dreamers, sailors, creatives and engineers and seeing what kind of future they can shape when no one’s holding them back. This isn’t a transaction. It’s ignition.

For those ready to expand their boundaries, the partnership between Outer Reef Yachts and EYOS Expeditions marks the beginning of a new era of discovery.

Viking at 2025 Orange Beach Billfish Classic

The 2025 Orange Beach Billfish Classic kicked off the Gulf Coast Triple Crown Series with a shotgun start at the Perdido Pass in Alabama. The highlight of the weekend came in the Blue Marlin Division. Scott Cooper, fishing his Viking 80 CE with captain George Crenshaw, landed a 640.2-pound marlin to take 1st Place. “As usual, Scott was great in the chair,” said George. “And our mates were at their best when it counted most. We had the fish in the boat in just 28 minutes from the time we hooked up until we slid it into the cockpit.”  Jim Murdica, on the Viking 74 Never Settle, followed with a 468.4-pound catch, earning 2nd Place.  Team Supreme, the Krake family’s Viking 72, claimed 3rd Place in the Release Division.  Tuna action was fierce. The Viking 61 Crawgator, with Bill Butler at the helm, claimed 1st Place thanks to a 204.2-pounder. Miss Remy, a Viking 65, secured 2nd Place with a 145.8-pound fish and Diane Kay, a Viking 55, came in 3rd Place with a 141-pound tuna. This year’s Top Lady Angler was Sherry Polk aboard the Viking 72 Share-E.  The Orange Beach Billfish Classic is the largest donor to The Billfish Foundation, which promotes research, safe catching and conservation of billfish.

Viking at Mississippi Gulf Coast Billfish Classic

Next up was the Mississippi Gulf Coast Billfish Classic with 87 boats battling for a purse of almost $2 million. And the Viking 72 Breathe Easy (above) walked home with most of it. Captain Patrick Ivie put Craig Smith on a 123.5-inch blue marlin that weighed 660.3 pounds – good for Heaviest Blue Marlin and Grand Champion honors.  In the release division, the Viking 54 Born2Run took 2nd Place with Dana Foster’s four blue marlin. The Viking 80 It Just Takes Time was in 3rd Place with three blue releases. George Pratt hooked two of those blues for Top Junior, while Leah Pratt claimed one for Top Lady.  Block Time, a Viking 64, weighed the 2nd Place Tuna (above) with Thomas Boothe’s 179.5-pound fish. The 28th annual event recorded 64 blue marlin, 11 whites and one sailfish.  Now, at the halfway point in the series, Team Supreme (the 2023 and 2024 champs) was in the mix, but Devotion, a Viking 60 and the 2021 champion, wasn’t even in the top 10. But all that changed at the 3rd event of the series. "It was a tough season for us until the Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic," said Devotion captain Jason Hallmark. "Everything came together for us that weekend and gave us a chance."

Viking at 23rd Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic

The 23rd annual Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic began with a 78-boat shotgun start and ended with Vikings claiming the top spots of the tournament. All-In Southern Charm, Gregg Trenor’s Viking 62, weighed the heaviest blue marlin. Ron Davis was on the rod for the 654.6-pound fish, which also earned him Top Overall Angler.  Team Supreme, the Krake family’s Viking 72, dominated the Release Division with five blue marlin and a sailfish. Alex Krake angled three of those blues for Top Release Angler, while captain Chase Lake and team took 2nd Place Crew. This is the 2nd year in a row Team Supreme topped the release board.  Nathan Beardon, aboard Josh Tice’s Viking 60 Devotion, had the 2nd Place Blue Marlin at 640.4 pounds. The team also released four blue marlin, good for 2nd Place Release Team. Devotion also claimed Top Crew with captain Jason Hallmark leading the charge. This leapfrogged Devotion into the top spot on the Championship series leader-board.  After releasing four blues, Devotion was looking for another big one. “We let our bait down and got a bite on it,” said Jason. “The fish never jumped, so we didn’t know how big it was until we got it all the way up to the boat.”  Marc Padgett’s Viking 90 Nikki Bella was the 3rd Place Release Boat with three fish. Ethan Cruz added three yellowfin to the box for Top Junior Gamefish Angler, while captain Scooter Porto accepted the 3rd Place Crew honours.  In the gamefish categories, 2nd Place Tuna was hooked on the Viking 58 Rising Sons (above) with Jaselyn Berthelot’s 168.1-pound fish. Third Place Dolphin was caught by Tyler Wainwright on the Viking 55 Done Pickin’. Fishing on the Viking 50 Squid Row, Buck Gosnay’s 54.9-pound wahoo won the category. In 2nd Place was a 52.2-pound ‘hoo reeled in by Michael Savage on the Viking 50 Lumbar.  Helen DeLaney was the Top Lady Angler with two blue marlin releases on the Viking 72 Yellow Steel. Leah Pratt was the Top Junior Billfish Angler. She released a blue and white marlin on the Viking 80, It Just Takes Time.

Viking at Blue Marlin Grand Championship

Heading into the final tournament of the Gulf Coast Triple Crown, the Blue Marlin Grand Championship, Team Supreme captain Chase Lake said, "This is anything but a two-team race.” Devotion’s captain Jason Hallmark added, "There are so many teams that could come from behind us and win it. I think we're going to have to either weigh a big fish or win the Release category to win The Championship."  Devotion didn't weigh a fish at The Championship, but captain Jason put Josh Tice and Nathan Bearden on three blues a piece. They beat 65 teams to claim 1st Release Boat, which clinched their second Gulf Coast Triple Crown Championship.  "We had a very slow start to the season, but finished off strong with Jason leading the team," said an emotional owner, Josh Tice. "I can't explain how much it means to have been blessed with Jason in my life 4 1/2 years ago, along with first mate Tyler Matherne.  "Also, none of this would be possible without my business partner and best friend, Nathan Bearden. I'm so thankful for the team and family we've created on Devotion, including second mate, Chaz Chauvin, Rodney Johnson, Kolby Thornton and Hunter Green, who all mated with us this year, along with our Viking – we push to her limits!"  Other notable catches at the Blue Marlin Grand Championship included Greg Abrams, fishing on the Viking 64 Easy Trigger (above). He reeled in the second-heaviest blue marlin of the tournament with a 645.8-pound fish – edging out Dale Cole by just a few ounces. Dale’s 645.6-pounder, caught aboard the Viking 58 Cole Play, took third. “It was five hours fighting the fish,” he said. “It was a job.”  Captain Patrick Ivie and the Viking 72 Breathe Easy team claimed 3rd Place Release Boat with five blue marlin.  Marc Padgett, fishing on his Viking 90 Nikki Bella, weighed the Heaviest Tuna, a 203.2-pound yellowfin. Larry Roth hooked the Heaviest Wahoo, 32 pounds, while fishing on the Viking 54 Bella Fortuna.

Viking Takes Gulf Coast Triple Crown Again

After the Gulf Coast Triple Crown Champs Devotion, Team Supreme secured the 2nd Place Title and Breathe Easy was in 3rd. Devotion’s Jason Hallmark becomes only the 4th captain to win multiple Triple Crown Championships since its inception in 2011. Jason joins Team Supreme’s Chase Lake and Jason Buck on the Viking 70 Done Deal and Viking 92 A Work of Art as repeat-winning captains.  Gulf Coast Triple Crown Champions;  2020 Andy Yarborough’s Viking 48 Pearl with captain Bo Keough, 2021 Josh Tice’s Viking 60 Devotion with captain Jason Hallmark, 2022 Art Favre’s Viking 92 A Work of Art with captain Jason Buck, 2023 The Krake family’s Viking 72 Team Supreme with captain Chase Lake, 2024 The Krake family’s Viking 72 Team Supreme with captain Chase Lake, 2025 Josh Tice’s Viking 60 Devotion with captain Jason Hallmark.

Wajer Owners Challenge Ibiza 2025

Nearly 50 Wajers anchored around the island, creating a breathtaking scene across the bay. On the water, our owners engaged in playful challenges where rivalry and teamwork went hand in hand. Afterwards, the winners proudly collected their prize: the coveted golden Wajer pole-stick.  With a drink in hand, surrounded by friends who make the Wajer family so special, we raised our glasses to another unforgettable season.

Wajer Alongside Legends of Sail

Every five years, Amsterdam transforms into one of the world’s most spectacular stages for maritime heritage.  Among the iconic vessels gracing Amsterdam’s historic waters, a fleet of 23 Wajers joined the legendary SAIL-In. Where the tall ships told stories of the past, Wajer offered a glimpse of the future on the water.  Since its first edition in 1975, SAIL Amsterdam has grown into a global celebration of maritime heritage, and this year’s edition proved once again why it holds such a special place in Dutch hearts. For several days, the IJ was alive with history: towering tall ships arriving from international ports, joined by Dutch classics to form a breath-taking floating museum.  From full-rigged ships to brigs and schooners, many carried over a century of history in their sails. The Sail-In was the highlight: a parade of tradition and pride, made unforgettable by perfect weather, lively crowds, and Dutch 'gezelligheid' on and beside the water, with Wajer joining with a fleet of 32 Wajers.

Where the vision that revolutionized global yachting was born, a forward-looking architectural project is taking shape, redefining the way work is conceived and experienced.  Giovanna Vitelli, Chair of Azimut|Benetti Group, and Marco Valle, CEO, inaugurated the new Azimut Yachts headquarters on the morning of July 24. They were joined by Andrea Archinà, the Mayor of Avigliana, demonstrating the strong bond between the Company and the town, and by the approximately 1,500 employees who show up every day to fulfill Azimut's mission: "To build the most beautiful, reliable, technologically advanced, and innovative boats, and to support them anytime, anywhere."  The entire project, part of a €50 million investment plan for the production site, was overseen by the artistic direction of AMDL CIRCLE and Michele De Lucchi, who also curated the restyling of the main building and the construction of the new multifunctional pavilion. The employees' offices were completely renovated based on an architectural design by Settanta7. The plan also included a significant energy efficiency upgrade.  With the full support of Chair Giovanna Vitelli, the project marks an evolution of Azimut's work model, prioritizing collaboration and teamwork and moving beyond traditional hierarchcal structures, even in the configuratio of the workplace. This initiative comes at an emblematic moment in the Company's history, the successful generational transition. It is a tangible sign of a shift in culture: the family's entrepreneurial vision meets modern governance, drawing on internal and external talent. The result is a new leadership model, shared and open, that focuses on the future to generate solid and resilient growth.  The inspiration for the renovation project stems from a dialogue between past and future, history and innovation, aimed at sensitively reinterpreting the original architectural concept of the renowned Gabetti & Isola, protagonists of 20th-century Italian architecture who, in the 1990s, designed the Azimut|Benetti Group headquarters in Piedmont, Liguria, and Tuscany.  AMDL CIRCLE - Azimut’s long time creative partner and creator of the iconic "yacht in the pool" at Bagni Misteriosi during the Milano Design Week - reinterprets the original project and enriches it with a new element: the entrance pavilion, the first stop on the new heritage walk that takes you through Azimut's bold and glamorous history. This is an avowedly contemporary gesture, remembering the past and projecting it forward, translating Azimut's identity into architectural form.  "I had the image of the Louvre pyramid in mind. A statement of changing times, but above all a sign of how the new finds its full power in its relationship with the grandeur of the past. Azimut has a history spanning more than fifty years, and the best way to honor it is to continue evolving, as my father always did," explains Giovanna Vitelli.  The new pavilion expresses poetic game of contrasts: the essential, metallic volume, reminiscent of the nautical world, rests on the historic brick structure. The water feature’s surface reflects the models of Azimut's "firsts", a tribute to the key stylistic and technological innovations of the yachts born in the mountains to revolutionize the way we experience the sea. Among these, the introduction in 2003 of hull glazing in place of traditional portholes, to bring natural light into the cabins: a visionary choice that is echoed today in the new Avigliana headquarters, with the windows extended for floor-to-ceiling glazing, underscoring the continuity between nautical innovation and the design language of this project.  The panoramic meeting rooms Gogamigoga, Goga and Goghina – named after Paolo Vitelli's boats, who with Piedmontese understatement chose a name that can be translated into Italian as "darsi alla bella vita", in the ironic sense of “giving oneself to the good life” – thus ideally and literally frame the Sacra di San Michele, which dominates the entrance to the Susa Valley: transparency – material, visual and conceptual – is established as a key concept throughout the project.  Transparency becomes the manifesto of an architectural language that transcends pure aesthetics to give shape to Azimut's vision: a work culture based on openness, connection, and trust. This philosophy comes to life in the layout and design of the new offices, where the Company's values have guided every choice: transparency, collaboration, flexibility, and innovation are reflected in spaces where glass replaces walls, and shared environments replace closed and oversized executive offices.  This concept transcends the interior and redefines the way Azimut opens up to the world. Its pinnacle is the new Virtual Reality room, the creative and technological heart of the building: a space where the Technical and Style Offices collaborate daily, and which also welcomes guests, particularly owners. The yacht's hyper-technological "cuisine en scène," where choosing layouts, furnishings, colours, and fabrics becomes an immersive and personalized experience through virtual reality.  The renovated headquarters will open its doors to Azimut employees from September, the month that marks the beginning of the nautical year and that, thanks to a company which has brought yachts built under the mountains to all the seas of the world, sets the pace for this innovative part of Piedmont.

Azimut-Benetti Group Chairman Honour in Blu Livorno Awards

Just as a community can benefit from the positive actions of a company, so no company can flourish without a community that welcomes and supports it.  That’s why we’re thrilled that our Chair, Giovanna Vitelli, has recently been honoured in the first edition of the Blu Livorno Awards, recognising the Azimut|Benetti Group’s commitment to the maritime economy and the sustainability of the seas – a central theme of Livorno’s Biennale del Mare e dell' Acqua, held in May, were the awards were announced.  “It was my father who chose Livorno and then took our company, and consequently the city, to the top of the world,” Giovanna Vitelli enthuses. “Behind every one of our yachts is the work of many people, and our commitment is to continue generating value and opportunities for the region.”

Bayliss at 67th Big Rock Tournament

What a week at the 67th Annual Big Rock Tournament!  Wave Paver (Bayliss 75’) came out swinging, releasing an incredible 18 billfish to rack up 3,350 points and secure first place overall in the release division, along with a daily win on Day 4. This experienced team had yet to catch a Grand Slam on the east coast, but in this event, they checked that box by scoring Four grand slams in four days.  Bull Pen (Bayliss 62’) also had a podium finish, weighing in the tournament’s largest wahoo at 60.7 pounds.

Bayliss at Pelagic Triple Crown

Among 29 teams and 139 anglers, Overtime (Bayliss 67’) came out on top at the 10th Annual Pelagic Triple Crown of Fishing. The team jumped into the lead on Day 1 with five striped marlin releases and held their ground on Day 2, adding another striped marlin and a sailfish to their tally—securing an exciting victory, taking home the tournament trophy.  Angler Ryan Moser finished as the tournament’s Top Overall Angler, adding an individual achievement to an already standout performance. Congratulations to Ryan, Rudy and Tomas, Captain Brett Eller, and the entire Overtime team on an exceptional showing and a well-deserved win!

Bilgin Celebrates Top Exporter Recognition

Bilgin Yachts has once again demonstrated its leadership in Turkish yacht building by being named the top exporter in the 24m+ yacht category, as announced during the “Award on Water” Export Awards Ceremony held at the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) headquarters. The award was presented by the Ship, Yacht and Services Exporters’ Association (GYHIB), honouring the most successful exporters in the maritime sector.  Mehmet Sengun, Shipyard Director at Bilgin Yachts, expressed his pride in receiving the award, stating: “This prestigious award is yet another testament to the global success of Turkish yacht building. We are incredibly proud to be honored in this way.” This recognition highlights Bilgin’s consistent performance in the superyacht segment. The Istanbul-based shipyard continues to be a benchmark in luxury yacht manufacturing, currently constructing 13 superyachts - including an 86-metre flagship project in Yalova, which will become Bilgin’s largest build to date. As an evolution of the Bilgin 263 series, this 2,200GT vessel combines elegant glazing, extended deck windows, and a silhouette reminiscent of Tatiana, enhancing both aesthetics and interior comfort.  Sengun added: “Our aim is to elevate Turkish yacht craftsmanship to the highest level on the international stage, and this recognition reinforces our unwavering commitment to that goal. Our achievements are the result of the dedication of our talented team and the strength of our partnerships.” Bilgin’s momentum continues with seven 50-metre yachts now in build and up to eleven planned in the near term. This growth is powered by the success of the Bilgin 170 series, which has earned recognition for its balance of volume, style, and efficiency in the competitive sub-500GT segment. Designed in collaboration with Hot Lab and Unique Yacht Design, the Bilgin 170 combines engineering precision with refined aesthetics -offering full-height glass walls, floating staircases, and expansive skylights. Efficient hull forms and next-gen propulsion systems make these yachts ideal for long-range cruising with bespoke luxury.

Cantieri di Pisa Celebrates Two Completed Refits

Ahead of schedule, the refit division at Cantieri di Pisa has completed two of the numerous projects the yard is working on. They are a majestic 41-metre Feadship and a 43-metre sailing yacht by Perini Navi, which have been returned to their owners over the last few days.  These two superyachts bring the number of units delivered in 2025 to 30, totalling over 1,500 metres in length, with another ten yachts of various types and sizes, built by various brands, soon to be handed back to their owners. These deliveries confirm the capacity and know-how of the shipyard, which occupies a surface area of 24,000 square metres and has almost thirty direct employees, with a total supply chain workforce of about 300.

Frauscher New Speed Record in Monaco

The Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom gave an impressive demonstration of its capabilities at the 12th Monaco Energy Boat Challenge. With a record average speed of 49.84 knots, it not only eclipsed the competition in the speed competition, but also set a new all-time record in the history of the event.  "We are extremely proud to have shown the full potential of the Frauscher x Porsche at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge. The use of Porsche technology directly from the new electric Macan and the boatbuilding expertise of the team at the Frauscher shipyard has resulted in a unique electric boat," says Stefan Frauscher, Managing Director of the Frauscher shipyard.

Gulf Craft First Shipyard to Accept Crypto Payments

Gulf Craft now offers a fully regulated crypto-payment solution for yacht and leisure craft purchases, service and refit works, reinforcing both the shipyard’s appetite for innovation and the UAE’s growing stature as a global hub for digital assets.  “By integrating ARP Pay, Gulf Craft not only meets evolving client preferences but also strengthens the UAE’s reputation for forward-looking manufacturing and financial innovation,” says Mohammed Hussein Alshaali, Chairman, Gulf Craft. “The UAE was built on maritime trade and early adoption of new ideas. Embracing regulated digital payments is a natural next step.”  Developed with Bahrain-licensed fintech provider ARP Pay, the service converts stablecoins such as USDT and USDC into AED or USD. A recent pilot allowed a part of a yacht purchase price to be settled in cryptocurrency, cutting transaction costs and improving client satisfaction among international buyers.  “Adding a crypto option future-proofs our customer experience,” notes Erwin Bamps, Group CEO, Gulf Craft. “We stay ahead of the curve by adopting technologies that shape tomorrow’s commerce and by tapping into the growing segment of crypto holders who prefer paying with digital assets. Whether a client is taking delivery of a Majesty or Nomad yacht or purchasing any boat or power catamaran across our Oryx or SilverCAT ranges, they can now transact through a channel that is fast, transparent and fully compliant.”  The launch aligns with UAE’s ambition to become the world’s most crypto-friendly country, supported by VARA regulations, free-zone exchanges and a 24/7 fintech talent pool. Gulf Craft’s new payment pathway will offer clients greater flexibility while further positioning the UAE at the forefront of maritime and financial innovation.

Jarrett Bay Red Hot July

The summer bite is on fire and so are the teams aboard Jarrett Bay boats! With a string of podium finishes and record-breaking performances, July has proven once again that these custom Carolina builds are built to dominate.  Kicking off the month in style, Builder’s Choice landed on the leader board at the 2025 Bermuda Billfish Blast with a solid third place overall team finish. Angler Eli Blake tallied 1,110 points with three blue marlin releases, earning him a Top 3 High Point Angler spot. Harris Huddle added two more releases, one blue and one white, helping propel the team into the money in both Level 1 and Level 2 release jackpots. Their performance set the tone for a strong July.  Marlin Fever became the first-ever repeat champions of the Big Rock Kids Tournament. The team aboard this 63-foot Jarrett Bay tallied 2 blue marlin, 1 white marlin, and 9 sailfish releases, winning First Place Overall Release, First Place in both Level 1 and Level 2 Billfish Release, and daily release honours on both Thursday and Saturday.  The team earned $51,125 in winnings and cemented their legacy in the tournament’s young history. Additionally, Marlin Fever placed 5th overall in the inaugural Big Rock Triple Crown and took home the third-place pay-out in the Level II Calcutta, bringing their total tournament earnings to $67,275.  Builder’s Choice weighed in the heaviest marlin of the tournament, a 650.0 lb blue, earning $491,925.  The team also claimed First Place in Top 3 Overall Largest Marlin, Level 2 Overall Billfish Release, Winner Take All Largest Marlin Jackpot, and Level 2 Winner Take All Largest Marlin.  They finished second in the Top Team standings and Level 2 Total Overall Points, along with a third place in the Daily Marlin Jackpot.  Iron Leader, a 70-foot Jarrett Bay, landed a 615.5 lb blue marlin, the third heaviest of the event, and took home $57,910.  Builder’s Choice closed out the month with a dominant run at Sea Horse, one of the most storied tournaments in Bermuda. The team racked up 3,000 points with six blue marlin releases to secure the tournament win. Harris Huddle was named High Point Angler, and the crew swept every major Level 1 and 2 category, including Overall Release Points, Winner-Take-All, and Total Points. That victory also sealed the deal for the 2025 Bermuda Triple Crown title—marking their second crown in just three years. After first winning it all in 2023, Builder’s Choice has now firmly established themselves as one of the most accomplished and consistent teams in the game, proving once again what a Jarrett Bay can do on the world stage.

Leopard Catamarans Single Shot Infusion

Leopard Catamarans, the industry-leading catamaran brand from South African builder Robertson and Caine, is pleased to announce that it is advancing hull construction with the introduction of the 'single shot infusion' technique.  Building on the traditional 3-step hull construction standard, this method uses one shot of resin infusion to infuse the entire hull at once, bonding all core components in a straightforward, single process. Providing an even, clean distribution of resin, this technique leads to a more durable, stronger, and lighter hull while removing the need for secondary bonding. It also eliminates the need for structural repairs along the hull's join lines, further enhancing its overall integrity.  Robertsoin and &Caine's hulls have always met the highest structural standards, and the results are due to progressive improvements to the original hull infusion methodology from the builder and Leopard Catamarans.  The announcement comes as Robertson and Caine and Leopard Catamarans continue to invest in improving the building process, reaffirming the builders' dedication to constructing yachts of exceptional quality and reliability. In addition to implementing the 'single shot infusion' technique to address potential hull delamination issues in newer models like the L46, R&C has also adopted advanced acoustic leak detection. This technology verifies the vacuum system's integrity before each infusion, further improving success rates.  Other key hull process changes that Robertson and Caine has recently made include carrying out a second phenolic hull sounding inspection on all vessels under construction, carried out 30 days after the initial post-demoulding check, to identify any delayed anomalies and the testing of a thicker 600 CSM print blocker across all models to improve hull aesthetics and reduce the visibility of future rework.  Since early 2025, Robertson and Caine has updated all mould shop quality documentation, reinforcing key hold points and adding new focus areas to strengthen the hull process control. Improvements include a redesigned infusion resin feed pipe layout to reduce dry spots and voids, providing a more consistent and robust construction.  "With the increasing impact of global warming and the focus on sustainability, the Research & Development team at Robertson and Caine is currently developing and testing a new resin recipe with their supplier to slow down the infusion process and improve consistency during the Southern Hemisphere summer, with implementation planned for the end of 2025," said a spokesperson from Leopard Catamarans.  "Robertson and Caine is also working on a project to implement hull temperature control versus entire factory temperature control to limit the environmental impact, as resin and temperature are influential factors in successful infusion. We support these improvements and believe they will enhance our already robust yacht's durability, quality, and overall craftsmanship."

Novamarine Buys Tornado Yachts

Novamarine, a listed company specialising in the production of both pneumatic and solid tubular boats (from 8 to 22 metres in length, for both pleasure and professional use), is expanding its product range: it has acquired the historic Tornado Yachts brand. A move that allows it to enter the sports luxury boat production sector, different from the rigid inflated boats.  Francesco Pirro, president and CEO of Novamarine (which is part of the Sno Yachts group), does not reveal the value of the operation completed but assures that 'it was conducted with careful economic and financial planning, without weighing down Novamarine's asset structure'.  The acquisition is part of the Sardinian company's development strategy (based in Olbia), he explains, and allows the company to expand its product offering to include luxury sports boats and fibreglass pleasure yachts, "with the aim of consolidating the company's positioning and expanding its customer base". Tornado Yachts, a brand founded in 1968 and based in Lido di Ostia (Rome), is known for its ability to create boats with essential design and high sporting performance.  Novamarine will take over the entire production of boats under the Tornado brand, moving it to the shipyards located at Su Arrasolu, in Olbia. It will start with a boat that has now become iconic, the Tornado 38 (11.95 metres) and then, Pirro clarifies, "for the other models we will see in the future. Novamarine's focus will not only be on producing new boats, but also on refitting the brand's historic vessels.  "We are very satisfied," adds Pirrro, "with the acquisition of this brand, which represents a strategic opportunity to expand our customer base and enter a new market segment, while remaining faithful to the company's historical positioning. In particular, thanks to the acquisition of Tornado, we will be able to produce high performance boats, which will allow us to broaden our offer".  For his part, Daniele Parisi, current CEO of Tornado Yachts, emphasises that he is "delighted to see Tornado's heritage continue to sail with Novamarine. It is a guarantee that our brand will live on, reaching new horizons".  Last March, Novamarine announced investments of €13.5 million to expand its production areas, on its own land, with the construction of two warehouses, one of 5,000 and another of 4,000 square metres. The first, which will be ready by the end of this year, will become a production site dedicated to fibreglass; the second, scheduled for 2026, will be dedicated to the production of professional boats, i.e., dedicated to the Coast Guard, special corps, troop transport, patrols, and so on.

They also included new Pershing enthusiasts, such as Formula 1 driver George Russell, who recently became the owner of a fantastic Pershing 6X.  There were many memorable moments and opportunities for socialising: the event got off to a great early evening start with the presentation of the new Pershing GTX70, announced by a spectacular light show featuring 300 drones, which guests were able to admire from the restaurant “La Canzone del Mare”, where guest star Gianluigi Lembo of “Anema e Core” gave a live performance.  The following day, guests had lunch in Nerano, at Antonio Mellino's famous “Quattro Passi”, while in the evening there were two dinner venues, both in Capri and both booked entirely for the event: the historic “Il Riccio” and chef Franco Pepe’s signature pizzeria and seafront restaurant “a-Ma-Re Capri”.  Making the 40th anniversary even more memorable, Pershing owners took to the turquoise waters around Capri, offering a breath taking spectacle featuring first and foremost Pershing 6Xs, 7Xs and 8Xs, famous for their sporty styling and extraordinary performance, alongside the more recent range of Sport Utility Yachts, with Pershing GTX116 and 2025 novelty Pershing GTX70.  International private aviation leader Flexjet was also a partner at the event. Guests were pampered with fine wines from Marchesi Antinori, while Murphy and Nye presented the brand's new capsule collection and the Owner Set created for Pershing’s 40th anniversary. Viking Help Protect Bluefin Tuna

You’ve seen it first hand – bluefin tuna numbers are up, yet restrictions are tightening. The U.S. quota hasn’t kept pace with the stock – triggering overages, cutbacks and the threat of early closures.  Viking is stepping up – and we need your help.  In partnership with the University of Maine’s Pelagic Fisheries Lab, we’re supporting a ground breaking scientific initiative using Close-Kin Mark Recapture (CKMR), a genetic technique that delivers faster, more accurate stock estimates. With better data, we can achieve quotas that reflect today’s robust bluefin population.

Viking at Oak Bluffs Bluewater Classic

Vikings schooled the fleet at the Oak Bluffs Bluewater Classic, sweeping the top spots in this tournament held in Oak Bluffs and Falmouth, Mass. The standout was Rob Carmichael’s Viking 62 Lights Out. With captain Tyler DuFresne behind the wheel, the crew released an incredible 47 white marlin to take Top Overall and Top Billfish Boat. Thirty-nine of the whites were hooked in just one day. “We’re primarily fishing tuna here,” said Rob. “We were hoping for some blue marlin and white marlin, but as we got out there, the whites started biting. We got into the right water and everybody rallied. The crew was rigging baits frantically. We thought it would be a handful of marlin. Bavaria Generation Change

Generation change in the management of Bavaria Yachts as Norbert Leifeld will take over as CEO from Michael Müller. Together with Thorsten Gatz (CFO), he will manage the shipyard in future.  Bavaria Yachts continues to consistently pursue its successful strategy. The next milestone is the planned generational change in management. With immediate effect, Norbert Leifeld will take over as CEO from Michael Müller. Norbert Leifeld has been COO of Bavaria Yachts YACHTS since 2023 and previously worked for 15 years as a consultant in the areas of product strategy, product development and production at Germany's most renowned shipyard. Within Bavaria Holding, he also acts as President de la Societe for the French catamaran shipyard Nautitech. Thorsten Gatz has been responsible for the shipyard's finances since 2022.  Michael Müller took over as CEO of Bavaria Yachts in 2019 and played a key role in the development of all new sailing yachts in the successful Bavaria C-Line and the motorboats in the new BAVARIA SR-Line. From 1 July, Michael Müller will join the Advisory Board of Bavaria Yachtbau Holding under the leadership of Advisory Board Chairman Kai Brandes (CMP). He will therefore continue to be available to the Bavaria management as a contact person. In addition, Dr Hans-Peter Mertens (Chairman of the Stürtz Group, among others) has been appointed as a further member of the Advisory Board.   "On behalf of the Advisory Board of Bavaria Yachts Holding and the entire workforce, I would like to express my thanks and deep respect to Michael Müller for his work as CEO of Bavaria. The challenges of recent years - be it the pandemic, supply chain problems or the coronavirus hype - have always been very demanding. Bavaria has mastered them all. I am delighted that he will continue to support us as a member of the Advisory Board," explains Kai Brandes, Chairman of the Advisory Board of Bavaria Yachts and Managing Partner of the Berlin-based investor CMP.  "At the same time, I am delighted that we have been able to appoint Norbert Leifeld as our new CEO. We have been working successfully with him for over seven years. During this time, Norbert Leifeld has successfully managed numerous important projects for Bavaria Yachts to the great appreciation of employees, management, suppliers and our dealers. No one knows Bavaria Yachts and the yacht industry from different perspectives as well as he does," continues Kai Brandes.  With its new organisation, Bavaria Yachts feels that it is ideally equipped for the future. By successfully implementing "breathing" production to compensate for fluctuating market requirements in production, Bavaria Yachts already prepared itself two years ago for the challenges of a cooling economy.  The current model range of sailing and motor yachts, which meets the current market requirements of discerning customers, is now to be expanded to include e-drives in order to attract new customers. In future, the focus will be more on maintaining and acquiring new customers. The Bavaria Family of future and existing owners will benefit from an optimised customer journey, an expanded network of Bavaria Service Centres, a wider range of aftersales services and training courses.

Bayliss Tournament News

Bayliss is excited to share the impressive performances from its Bayliss-builds at this year’s Walker’s Cay Invitational!  Over three days of fierce competition, Seven a Bayliss 62 delivered stellar results fnishing Day 3 in first place and securing second place overall after releasing one sailfish and four blue marlin.  Meanwhile, Wave Paver a Bayliss 75 made waves of her own on Day 1, when her team boated a 540.2-lb blue marlin to claim the tournament’s “largest blue marlin” honour. That incredible catch is as much a tribute to the seasoned skill, seamless teamwork, and split-second decision-making of her captain and crew as it is to the vessel.  Congratulations to the owners, captain, crew, and support teams—for these exceptional accomplishments. We couldn’t be more proud to see our boats excel on the sportfishing stage, and we look forward to many more victories in the seasons to come!

Benetti Wins Robb Report Best of the Best

Benetti’s new project was selected for the award in the Marine - Best Interiors category by the prestigious Robb Report US Best of the Best jury.  In an industry first, B.Loft 65M transfers the architectural language of modern-day lofts to a megayacht.  Now in its 37th year, the Robb Report US Best of the Best award continues to celebrate excellence in the world of luxury, from yachting to design and art. This year, in the Marine – Best Interiors category, Benetti won the award for the innovative B.Loft 65M, a project that won the jury over with its city-loft-inspired style and lines defined by striking outdoor terraces.   Designed in collaboration with Cassetta Yacht Designers, Benetti’s B.Loft 65M concept conjures up a contemporary residential aesthetic epitomised by the Upper Deck. The idea of the loft originates from an analysis of the very concept of comfort, interpreted as the ability to fully enjoy one’s leisure time - specifically, in this case, on board the B.Loft. This approach led to the creation of spaces that speak a familiar and comfortable language, in line with the expectations of luxury and elegance of the guests.  Thanks to the unbelievable ceiling height touching four metres in the Skylounge, headroom of up to 2.70 metres in the master cabin and the long glass corridor, natural light floods into the interiors, creating airy, welcoming spaces. This new architectural language, which introduces characteristics never seen before on a 65-metre megayacht, is also reflected in exterior lines characterised by different levels that recall sea view terraces in dream villas.  This award recognises Benetti as an industry innovator, confirming its role as a benchmark with a proud tradition of anticipating and heralding in new on-board lifestyle trends.

Bilgin Takes Center Stage at International Yacht and Aviation Awards

Bilgin is thrilled to announce that its magnificent 50-metre superyacht, Eternal Spark, has received a prestigious accolade at the 2025 International Yacht & Aviation Awards. As the latest addition to the Bilgin 163 series, Eternal Spark features interiors by the award-winning Italian design studio Hot Lab and was named winner in the “Master Cabin” category.  In addition to this success, Hot Lab, the creative studio behind Eternal Spark’s interior design, was also honoured with the title of “Designer of the Year” at the same ceremony. This double triumph is a proud testament to the yacht’s refined elegance and the studio’s visionary approach to design.  Designed with Hot Lab’s distinctive philosophy of “Architecture for Voyagers,” Eternal Spark's interior spaces are characterized by clean architectural volumes, exquisite soft lines, and a refined minimalist aesthetic. With an impressive palette of over 200 unique materials meticulously curated and integrated throughout the vessel, the interior design transcends mere opulence, emphasizing a profound commitment to craftsmanship and unparalleled attention to detail.  Enrico Lumini, Partner and Design Director at Hot Lab, remarked, “Bilgin has allowed us to work in peace with the new owner of this splendid 163 feet, which will be modern, rich, but warm at the same time. Small quantities of wood, but treated as if they were precious inlays. Natural leather, but embossed, giving it a much more refined look, and then soft sense of balance. This is how I would define the Bilgin 163: a perfect balance of shapes, soft colours and great richness of detail.”

Bilgin Best Design Detail Award

Bilgin team is incredibly proud to announce that the 50-meter superyacht, Eternal Spark, has won one of the most competitive Robb Report Best of the Best awards for 2025. Specifically it was named the Robb Report’s pick for the “Best Design Detail” in the Marine category with its stunning central staircase.  “She truly makes us proud!” exclaimed TuÄŸba Åžengün Topgül of Bilgin Yachts. “This award from Robb Report underscores our commitment to unparalleled craftsmanship and innovative design.”  The exterior design and naval architecture by Unique Yacht Design, complemented by the interior expertise of Hot Lab, the yacht embodies a harmonious fusion of aesthetics and functionality. Emrecan Özgün, CEO of Unique Yacht Design, highlights the innovative features of the Eternal Spark from their latest semi-custom series: “Our design focus centers on creating expansive, sheltered open decks, as demonstrated by the 499 GT platforms. These yachts, exemplified by a superbly designed charter vessel in our range, offer an outstanding layout with ample spaces to enjoy daily activities.

Cheoy Lee Pushes Boundaries in Yacht Design

Famed for its robust, finely crafted, globally cruising motoryachts, Cheoy Lee Shipyards draws on 150 years of boat and shipbuilding experience to deliver advanced and highly capable yachts from 19 to 60 metres across two key brands.  Cheoy Lee has remained family run since it was founded in the 1870s, with current management made up of the family’s fourth and fifth generations. Its testament not only to the longevity of the brand – which encompasses everything from yachts and superyachts to commercial vessels and workboats – but also to the forward-thinking ethos the shipyard has always applied to its builds.  After starting with yachts constructed in teak, Cheoy Lee was one of the first builders to explore and embrace GRP in the 1960s, becoming a leading brand for GRP yachts and helping pioneer glass and foam sandwich construction. That drive to break new ground has continued throughout the shipyard’s history, and it comes in all aspects of vessel design and construction, from the adoption of hybrid technologies for the ferries it builds to the application of hybrid styling and design to its latest range of modern explorer yachts.  Today, Cheoy Lee channels its heritage, history of innovation and highly skilled workforce into creating sublime, award-winning yachts, with two key brands – Cheoy Lee Yachts, which continues the lineage of the shipyard’s superyachts and custom builds with world-girdling vessels up to 60 metres finished to the highest standards; and CL Yachts, launched in 2018 and specializes in series production of striking, exquisitely refined modern GRP yachts. Quality and safety remain key considerations – the yachts are built in ISO-certified production facilities, and all are built to class with RINA-certified GRP hulls.

Ferretti Group and Flexjet Unveil Private Jet and Helicopter Interiors

Flexjet, a global leader in private aviation, and luxury yacht leader Ferretti Group, have unveiled their highly anticipated, design collaboration Riva Volare - a unique cabin design for Flexjet’s aircraft interiors, inspired by the iconic Riva motoryachts.  This bespoke design project is a lavish realisation of the official partnership formed in May 2024 between the two luxury leaders, which each share a passion for high performance, exceptional craftsmanship and sleek, bold design.  Part of Flexjet’s range of customised and boutique-style LXi Cabin Collection™ interiors, Riva Volare is fitted aboard one of the private aviation leader’s Gulfstream G650 ultra-long-range jets, seating up to 12-15 passengers and capable of flying for up to 14-16 hours, connecting New York and Tokyo, London, Singapore or Milan.  The interior is also presented in two of Flexjet’s Sikorsky S-76 helicopters, one in Florida and the other featuring in a new helicopter operation based in Milan, serving Italy and the French Riviera. This represents the growth of the company’s helicopter division into mainland Europe, adding to its existing rotary operations in London, New York and Florida and The Bahamas. The new service area will cater to growing demand from the company’s existing jet Owners and from new clients for helicopter flights in Italy and the South of France during the summer months, with Ferretti Group clients benefitting from preferential access.  The finished design was revealed on Thursday, June 26 at an official unveiling event at Milano Prime Linate Airport, featuring a static display of the Flexjet Gulfstream G650, Sikorsky S-76 helicopter and a Riva motoryacht, the Aquariva Special. The event took place in the hangar recently built for Flexjet’s sister company and aircraft management and maintenance provider Sirio, by SEA Prime - the leading Italian and European business and general aviation infrastructure manager, operating under the brand Milano Prime.  The bespoke design scheme is the refined result of a combined vision and months of expert craftsmanship by in-house designers at both brands. Riva Volare features artisanal materials and bold patterns, textures and colours, that draw on the classic silhouettes and recognisable design elements of the beloved Riva motoryachts, blending details from the iconic 1960s Aquarama with the contemporary elegance of the Aquariva.  Kenn Ricci, Chairman of Flexjet said: “I have long admired the iconic style of Riva, and seeing this brought to life in our aircraft, is nothing short of exceptional. At Flexjet, design is more than an aesthetic bonus, it’s integral to the elevated experience we offer. The launch of Riva Volare in collaboration with Ferretti Group is a tangible expression of our shared commitment to evolving truly memorable experiences for UHNW and selective travellers. With Flexjet in our 30th year, Riva Volare is not only a celebration of a timeless design icon, but also a bold statement of where we're going - defining the standard for what it means to be a modern luxury brand.”  Alberto Galassi, Ferretti Group CEO, added: "Riva style is an expression of elegance that infuses every project with class and exclusivity, both at sea and on land, and now at high altitude as well. Riva Volare is another splendid result of our collaboration with Flexjet, a brand with which we share the same passion for constantly raising the quality standards we offer our customers. Contemplating the sky and the clouds while immersed in the world of Riva is an incredibly beautiful and satisfying experience, an absolute must.”  Each element of the Riva Volare design - from the colour palette to the tactile materials - has been thoughtfully curated to evoke timeless Riva cues, featuring contrasts between light and dark, colour detailing, and luxurious textures of leathers and metals. A curated selection of Riva glass, china, and silverware will feature in the onboard hospitality experience on the Gulfstream G650, expertly presented by Flexjet’s Red Label Academy trained cabin servers.

Formula Passing the Torch

When it comes to high-profile designers, Formula has had quite a run, starting with Don Aronow, who started the company in 1962 and became the dominant figure in offshore racing boats for two decades.  Then in 1971, a twenties-something John Adams, freshly minted as a designer from the University of Cincinnati, entered the picture. He had a design degree but knew nothing about boats.  But, for the next fifty years his design vision greatly influenced the direction of American small and mid-sized recreational boats. Now, he's passing the torch to Michael Young -- a lucky designer who has some big shoes to fill.

Pershing Turns Forty

Pershing celebrates forty years of history and passion for the sea. It’s an anniversary that bears witness to the evolution of a brand with a revolutionary impact on the yachting world, through iconic boats featuring bold designs, cutting-edge technology and superlative performance. Not just a shipyard but an authentic expression of the sporty luxury and Italian style that have been defining incomparable on-board experiences for four decades.  It all started in the early 1980s, when three friends with a passion for boats – Tilli Antonelli, Fausto Filippetti and Giuliano Onori – founded Cantiere Navale dell’Adriatico 1°. In the early years they focused on repairing laminated wood boats. The breakthrough came in 1985 with the presentation, in partnership with yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni, of Pershing 45, a model as fast as a powerboat and as spacious as a motoryacht that marked the beginning of the Pershing era. Its success put the brand immediately into the spotlight, becoming synonymous with innovation, performance and design. The 1990s saw the start of the brand’s global expansion and in 1998 it became part of Ferretti Group, launching a period of growth and consolidation in the luxury motoryacht industry.  In 2012, the arrival of Weichai group further strengthened the brand’s presence on international markets, driving strong performance in Asia, America and Europe. A star at the industry’s leading international boat shows, Pershing continued to stand out for its ability to anticipate trends and meet the expectations of the most demanding owners in terms of performance, design and luxury. Examples are the introduction of the Generation X and GTX ranges and the construction of the first superyacht, confirming the shipyard's ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of nautical innovation.  Since Pershing unveiled the brand’s first model in 1985 (Pershing 45), the shipyard based in Italy’s Le Marche region has proved its ability to combine extreme performance, advanced technology and cutting-edge design. Over the last 40 years, Pershing has introduced game-changing innovations, such as the transition from in-line shaft drives to surface piercing propeller systems – a technology in which it is a world leader for recreational applications – and the introduction of water jets with a gas turbine on Pershing 115 (2004), capable of delivering over 5,100 HP. These are joined by the introduction of the triple engine propulsion system on Pershing 108 (2011) and construction solutions that optimise weight, seakeeping and cruising comfort.  Pershing innovation also extends to design and on-board technology: right from the outset the brand has blended aesthetics and functionality with iconic solutions such as the hydraulic gangway (Pershing 45) and the concealed sliding glass door (Pershing 72), both developed in partnership with Giovanni Besenzoni’s company Besenzoni. Design-wise, Pershing has introduced sleek, sporty shapes with functional features such as the ‘Pershing wing’ (since Pershing 70), the retracting carbon fibre stairway and the pillar-free windscreen, while the boat interiors offer settings that are spacious, light-filled and carefully curated in every detail, not least thanks to collaborations with top brands including Poltrona Frau.  The Pershing fleet today consists of two ranges and a superyacht that embody the brand’s trademark innovation, performance and design. Generation X – comprising the 5X, 6X, 7X, 8X and 9X models – achieves the perfect balance between power, lightness and advanced technology thanks to the use of ultra-lightweight materials, integrated control systems and sleek lines. The more recent GTX range – which includes the GTX116, GTX80 and new GTX70 models – redefines the Sport Utility Yacht concept by enhancing comfort and liveability, but without compromising on performance. Completing the fleet, Pershing 140 is the brand’s first all-aluminium superyacht, built at the Ferretti Group Super Yacht Yard in Ancona. This masterpiece combining uncompromising sportiness, revolutionary architectural solutions and a focus on detail is a symbol of the brand’s boldest vision.  For four decades, Pershing boats have been taking shape in Mondolfo at a world-class production facility adjacent to the storied shipyard. Designed by architect Sandro Sartini, the production site spans over 84,000 square metres today and contains four buildings, two paint booths and a testing tank. Every space is designed to combine technology, function and aesthetics, with tailor-made solutions for the various Pershing ranges, such as the fourth building dedicated to the GTX series, which has the capacity to build yachts up to 36 metres in length.  With a total of 27 stations used to build 27 yachts in parallel, the shipyard can handle highly specialised processes such as PPG-certified dry painting, which ensures that Pershing yachts have a level of finish comparable to that of luxury cars. The testing tank is used to perform comprehensive technical tests that ensure maximum reliability before Pershing yachts are launched from the nearby port of Fano.  By introducing technological innovations, unveiling revolutionary models and evolving the brand’s storied shipyard, for forty years Pershing has continued to look beyond the horizon, to where the sea meets the future.

Pershing from New York to Hamptons

The skyscrapers of New York provided a spectacular backdrop for the arrival of Pershing GTX80 at the renowned North Cove Marina in Manhattan, in the beating heart of the Big Apple. The event marks the start of an exclusive journey organised in Pershing’s 40th anniversary year.  For two days, on June 17 and 18, Pershing GTX80 – the second model in the innovative Sport Utility Yachts range – was moored in the famous Manhattan harbour against the backdrop of the iconic New York skyline, attracting the attention of enthusiasts, industry experts and crowds of curious onlookers. This spectacular debut shines a spotlight not only on the bold, contemporary design of the yacht, but also on how it combines comfort, sportiness and outstanding performance.  The yacht will continue on its journey along the magnificent Atlantic coast of the United States, calling at some of the most exclusive East Coast destinations, including Montauk from July 1 and Newport from July 12, returning to the elegant Hamptons, a destination synonymous with American summer luxury. Every port of call will be an opportunity to showcase Pershing’s signature revolutionary spirit and Italian know-how.  The journey of the Pershing GTX80 along the East Coast can be followed on the social media channels of Pershing and Allied Marine.

Riva Private World Premier in Sarnico

An unforgettable night on the shores of Lake Iseo with the extraordinary Riva Private World Première, during which four new yachts were unveiled at the storied Sarnico shipyard in front of a carefully selected and enthusiastic audience of international owners and guests.  The stars of the evening event were the four magnificent premières ready to give all enthusiasts something to dream about: Aquariva Special, Riva Cento, Riva 58’ Capri and Iseo Super.  Born and built at the Sarnico shipyard, the new boats made their debut in a spectacular night-time parade on the lake led by Riva Iseo Super, the 27-foot runabout with the same innovative design heritage as Riva El-Iseo – the brand’s first full electric boat presented in 2024 – which renews the Riva Iseo legend with new technology and style solutions.  The second debut was the Aquariva Special, the only 'Special’ since the Aquarama. This iconic yacht, which has been in production for an incredible 24 years, has been given a refined restyling by Officina Italiana Design, the studio that has been designing Riva boats on an exclusive basis for over 30 years, with expert brushstrokes that have given some of the stylistic features and the design language a more contemporary feel, without affecting their core identity.  Next up was the limited-edition Riva Cento, created to celebrate the 100th unit of the Rivamare 38’, one of the brand’s most beloved models. The main features include new functional and style details – such as the leather-coloured cushions and the beach area with chaise longues and a retractable gangway – pointing up the yacht’s elegance and further enhancing the experience on board.  Bringing the parade to a close was the new Riva 58’ Capri, the first model in the new sport open yacht generation, which brings together performance and maximum comfort while retaining the range's sporty and elegant DNA, combining it with a sleek, more sculpted and contemporary design.  “This night of incomparable beauty will live on in the history of the Sarnico shipyard. Four Riva in one night are an absolute delight and the happiest of events for everyone who loves yachting and Italian excellence. I can’t wait for Aquariva Special, Riva Cento, Riva 58’ Capri and Iseo Super to spark the same excitement in yacht enthusiasts that I felt tonight with all our friends and guests at this incredible Private World Première. And because beauty begets beauty, we also admired the flyover of the new Gulfstream G650 with interiors designed by Riva, another magnificent result of the collaboration with Flexjet, our top-tier private aviation partner,” commented Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi.  Another great success was the immersive live music show created by Paris-based agency Inspiration Music & Arts, with artistic direction by Jimmy Bitton, which transformed the Riva shipyard into a theatre under the stars. The fine food and wine experience created by the Alajmo brothers treated guests to a sensory journey through haute cuisine and creativity. JLR brand Range Rover, the event’s automotive partner, showcased several models, testifying to the affinity between two brands with a shared commitment to innovation and timeless style.  The evening event sealed the partnership between Ferretti Group and Flexjet, a global leader in private aviation, a year on from the signing of the agreement that launched the collaboration between the two brands under a banner of excellence and uncompromising performance. The celebrations began on the morning of June 26 with the presentation to the press of the new Gulfstream G650, Flexjet’s exclusive ultra-long-range private jet, and the Sikorsky S-76 helicopter, both fitted out for the first time with “Riva Volare” interiors inspired by the iconic Riva yachts. The event took place at Milano Prime Linate Airport, in the hangar recently built for Flexjet’s sister company and aircraft management and maintenance provider Sirio, by SEA Prime - the leading Italian and European business and general aviation infrastructure manager, operating under the brand Milano Prime. Crowning the Private World Première the Gulfstream G650 soared above the shipyard, the perfect symbol of the synergy between sky and sea.

Riva Classiche Raves with Guido Capellini at Pavia-Venezia Raid 2025

The Pavia-Venice 2025 International Powerboat Raid has ended with a feat that will go down in international powerboat history: Guido Cappellini, at the helm of the Team Abu Dhabi boat, set a new record for the world’s longest race on inland waterways, with a time of 1 hour, 41 minutes and 45 seconds at an average speed of 207.26 km/h.  In this great sporting adventure, Riva Classiche raced with the ten-time Formula 1 Powerboat world champion along the entire route from Pavia to the Venice Lagoon, covering over 400 kilometres on inland waterways including the Ticino and Po rivers.  Cappellini beated the previous record (1 hour, 44 minutes and 45 seconds at an average speed of 203.34 km/h) set in 2005 by Dino Zantelli. Before him, back in 1931, Serafino Riva set the record with Giuseppe Guerini in the outboard category at an average speed of 51.660 km/h, before going on to triumph again the following year with Luigi Calvi aboard the AZ powerboat designed at the Riva boatyard and fitted with an Elto 1000 cc engine.  The partnership between Riva and Cappellini, built on passion, innovation and tradition, dates back to 2005, the year the powerboat champion set the world water speed record (still undefeated to this day) on Lake Iseo, where the Riva shipyard is located in Sarnico. On June 2, twenty years later, a new record was set in the same spirit of daring, technical expertise and passion for the water.

Riva Launches 100th Rivamare

The 100th Rivamare, a modern icon of Riva style and a fantastic long- seller, is a milestone that Ferretti Group celebrated in Sarnico with a ceremonial launch attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Jiang Kui and representatives of majority shareholder Weichai, who congratulated the workers and management.  “This magnificent day celebrates the huge success for Riva and Ferretti Group as a whole. We are very proud and congratulate the management and all employees on these achievements. Having witnessed a consistent growth for over ten years, we are confident that Ferretti, with persistent efforts of the team, will maintain growth this sustainable and continue to create value for all stakeholders” commented Mr Jiang Kui.  What sets Ferretti Group apart, also thanks to the history and strong identity of its seven brands, is its ability to build boats that are beautiful forever, as demonstrated by the 100th unit of Rivamare. Owners know this and are rewarding us even at the start of 2025, with our order book reaching a record €1.7 billion. Another key factor behind Ferretti Group's extraordinary growth in recent years is the launch of many new models: at the end of the month, we will unveil three new Riva models, confirming the great vitality of the Group and our ongoing drive to strengthen our leadership in beauty and innovation," concluded Mr. Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group

Sanlorenzo Casa in Venice

Casa Sanlorenzo, a creative hub dedicated to Sanlorenzo’s artistic and cultural initiatives, has ‘launched’ in Venice. The opening of the restored building – a Sanlorenzo Arts project – was timed to host events during the first Venice Climate Week (June 3-8) and honour the lagoon city’s hosting of the 19th International Architecture Exhibition (May 10-November 23).  During Venice Climate Week, Casa Sanlorenzo hosted three days of ‘Sanlorenzo Talks’, a series of meetings and conversations dedicated to the themes of ecological transition and sustainable innovation, and including leaders from the science, culture and industry sectors.   Facing the Basilica Santa Maria della Salute, Casa Sanlorenzo is a converted 1940s mansion with 1,000sqm of indoor space and a 600sqm outdoor area, and was restored by architect Piero Lissoni – Sanlorenzo’s Art Director – and the Lissoni & Partners studio.  The Italian shipyard created Casa Sanlorenzo “because a brand like Sanlorenzo, a worldwide leader in luxury yachting, can no longer limit itself to producing excellent products but must take on an active cultural role”. The venue houses a private apartment plus indoor and outdoor space for exhibitions, shows and Sanlorenzo’s contemporary art collection.  Massimo Perotti, Sanlorenzo’s Executive Chairman, said: “Our aim with Casa Sanlorenzo is to offer a reference point for initiatives linked to the world of Sanlorenzo Arts, an entity conceived with the goal of celebrating and supporting the union between art, design and culture, where innovation and creativity can flourish without limits.  “Casa Sanlorenzo becomes a place where one enters to stop, reflect and share. A space of research, where art does not simply adorn but rather interrogates. Where design does not impress, but guides. Where beauty is never for its own sake but the bearer of ethics.   “In an increasingly virtual world, we wanted to invest in presence, in meaningful encounters, and in shared experiences. Because we believe that authenticity requires substance, time and human connection. And Venice is the perfect place for this project.”  The restoration honoured the building’s history, so brick facades were enhanced and some original elements, such as part of the floors, were preserved. Where restoration wasn’t possible, “spaces were reinterpreted with a contemporary architectural language that enhances the exhibition function, creating a flexible and welcoming environment”, Sanlorenzo stated.  Concrete floors alternate with Palladian and Portoro marble, while white walls highlight the artwork on display. An adaptive lighting system allows light to be modulated according to exhibition needs, enhancing the visitor experience, while a new glass-and-steel staircase is among indoor highlights.  Outside, a bridge connecting Casa Sanlorenzo to the surrounding area is another key element of the restoration. Also designed by Lissoni & Partners, the contemporary structure was inspired by the pre-existing one to maintain a strong connection to Venetian history.  Piero Lissoni said: “I believe the opportunity to build a bridge in Venice for Sanlorenzo Arts is more unique than rare. The bridge is, in fact, an incredibly complex architectural staircase, and to me, it also embodies a range of other meanings.  “Besides connecting two different points, the bridge connects different worlds. It is no coincidence that the expressions ‘creating cultural bridges’ and ‘making human bridges’ are used. This bridge for me is not simply a vehicle to transport people but a cultural bridge, an ideal bridge.”  Made entirely of prefabricated metal and already assembled, the bridge features a surface of Istrian stone, typical of the city, and a wooden handrail crafted to resemble an oar, to highlight the connection with the water.  Its ‘humpback’ shape is reminiscent of medieval bridges, while the metal arch expresses a simple, linear aesthetic. Technologically advanced, the bridge uses calendering for the metal part, with steps in classical Venetian masegni made of Istrian stone and treated to prevent slipping. The metal has been protected against local weathering elements while maintaining a refined aesthetic.

Sunseeker Announces Two Hundred Job Cuts

Sunseeker has announced 200 redundancies.  Sunseeker International, based in Poole, Dorset, said support, leadership and management roles,  about 10% of its workforce would "regrettably" be affected by a restructuring programme.  It blamed "softening in global demand" following "political and economic uncertainties".  In December, the company announced 91 staff would be temporarily laid off due to "restrictions in the supply chain".  In a statement, Sunseeker International said its review would "better align our resources and enhance overall efficiency".  It continued: "The proposed restructure is part of our efforts to streamline operations and focus resources where they will have the greatest strategic impact."  "The changes are intended to reduce costs, as well as support long-term sustainability and growth.  The firm said it would focus on fulfilling its global order book and developing new models in its superyacht range.  The company employs 2,150 people in Dorset.  Chief executive Andrea Frabetti said: "I want to reassure our people, our partners and the wider community that Sunseeker remains deeply committed to manufacturing in Poole and Portland.  "These sites are, and will continue to be, at the heart of our operations as we evolve for the future."  A formal consultation with workers affected is set to begin.  Shortly before Christmas, the company said 91 of its employees would continue to be laid off until 27 January, and be paid 50% of their hourly rate during their layoff period.

Viking Sustainable Fuel Demo

Viking also showed its leadership during the Dealer Meeting and Sea Trial Event with a renewable diesel* demonstration and sea trial for the media aboard the Viking 48 Mack Attack, in collaboration with Mack Boring & Parts Company of Somerset, New Jersey. The Mack Boring–owned boat, powered by twin 1,150-hp Scania V8s, ran on renewable diesel for the event – proving that high-performance sportfishing yachts can operate with increased sustainability and no compromise in performance. The demonstration raised awareness about the viability and effectiveness of sustainable marine fuel, which will, in turn, help drive the expansion of refinery production and distribution infrastructure on the East Coast and beyond. *Renewable diesel is a clean-burning biofuel made from sources such as used cooking oil. It’s a drop-in replacement for petroleum diesel and requires no engine modifications.

Viking Demos Excel

Viking demo teams have delivered a dominant first half of 2025 – racking up victories on both coasts, across international waters and in some of the sport’s most elite big-game fishing tournaments.  Hull No. 1 of the Viking 74 made an unforgettable debut on the tournament circuit, with two wins and a second-place finish in its first five major events. Led by captain Sean Dooley, the Viking 74 began the season with a standout performance at The Shootout – Production Vs. Custom, beating a highly competitive fleet packed with custom sportfishers.  “This boat is turning heads,” said Drew McDowell (above, center), a long time fixture of the Viking demo program and General Manager of the Viking subsidiary Palm Beach Towers. “The ride is phenomenal, confident and smooth even when others are backing off. For a brand-new model to perform like this, right out of the gate, says a lot about how we design and build boats.”  The momentum continued at the Charleston Billfish Invitational, part of the South Carolina Governor’s Cup, where the boat took top honours and showcased its tournament-tuned layout, fishability and exceptional ride.  The Viking 74 remained in strong form with a second-place finish in the HMY Lowcountry Cup, reinforcing its status as one of the most consistent boats in the series.  Before the Viking 74 started making waves in the Atlantic, the Viking 64, Team Galati was on a tear in Costa Rica. Team Galati earned Top Boat honors at the Masters Angling Tournament, with captain Tony Carrizosa named High Boat Captain (46 releases in three days). The team also won the inaugural IGFA Open and finished second overall in the Los Sueños Signature Triple Crown (with Second and First Place finishes in Legs I and II, respectively, and daily wins throughout the series).  The Viking 64 Team Galati has now won three of the past five Triple Crown series – more than any other team in the event’s history.  From Central America to the East Coast, Viking’s demo boats have set the pace. And we're only halfway through 2025. The Viking 74 is handing off its momentum to the Viking 82, hull No. 9, as it prepares for the summer slate. Hull No. 1 of Viking's 82 series captured the Bermuda Triple Crown title in 2024. The new Viking will be ready to go as the first competition starts with the Bermuda Billfish Blast, scheduled for July 3–7, 2025.   Viking  will also have a second boat competing in the East Coast tournaments – the Viking 68 – which will join the Viking 82 in events such as the White Marlin Open and The MidAtlantic.  Click here to follow the action on social media.
