Hatteras Boat Ends Aground in Barnegat Inlet, New Jersey

A nine meter Hatteras sportfish cruiser ended aground on the North Jetty of Barnegat Inlet, New Jersey on the afternoon of Sunday fourth August.  TowboatUS Barnegat Light and Beach Haven who shared the story on its Facebook page assisted the vessel with four of its towing boats.  The boat was then towed to a haul out and showed damage to its propellers and shafts.  The cause of the damage was a lack of chart navigation, which in high tide hides the North Jetty.  No injuries are reported from the accident.
The boat in this accident is a Hatteras 32 Flybridge Fisherman as designed by Jack Hargrave and produced from 1982 to 1987.
