A ten meter Sealine sport cruiser with four persons onboard, went ablaze at Cala Figuera in Polensa on 13:40 of Tuesday thirteenth August. Nearby boats attended to the rescue of the four boaters, as Salvacion Maritimo came to the scene to fight the fire. Unfortunately the boat was destroyed by fire and then sank. Following the destruction and sinking Salvacion Maritimo remained in the place to clean the area from the debris of the fire. The cause of the fire is not reported.
The Sealine boat in this fire is an S330, as designed by Bill Dixon. The S330 series was the first totally new model to come from the Hanse ownership of Sealine, who bought the British brand in 2013 from Brunswick, and subsequently moved production from Kidderminster UK to Germany. The S330 was produced till 2022, with the model tweaked and evolved into the S335 in 2023.
