Cranchi Sport Cruiser Saved from Fire in Malta

Civil Protection Malta assisted a Cranchi Sport Cruiser of twelve meters in length from an onboard fire, off the coast of Xghajra, to the South East of Valletta, in Malta on the late afternoon of Friday ninth August.  The sport cruiser was cruising one nautical mile away from the coast when the principle of fire happened.  Civil Protection Malta control room immediately dispatched Firefighters from Station 5 with the P-42 Firefighter vessel. Situation was controlled and no injures were reported, with the boat also being technically saved as it had minor damage.

The Cranchi in this fire is a 41 Endurance as produced between 2003 and 2009.  Designed by Aldo Cranchi, the 41 Endurance replaced the 39 Endurance of which she was widely based on, sharing hull and a similar interior and exterior but with the feature of a larger tender garage.
