Two boats of ten meters and eight meters respectively ended beached and aground near Cabo San Lucas on the aftermath of Tropical Storms Emilia and Fabio on Tuesday sixth August. The smaller boat ended beached and partly capsized, while the larger boat was partly beached and had its starboard bow hitting the rocks, as crew where trying to remove her from the dangerous spot. The causes of the grounding are not reported with social media posts blaming both boaters for ignoring the weather forecasts warning, as Cabo San Lucas harbour was also closed on the previous Monday night.
The big boat in this grounding is a Bertram 35 Mk.ii as produced from 1981 to 1986 to a design of David Napier.
