New Launch: Van Der Valk 23.56m Hull no. WV0138

Van der Valk has recently launched the 23.56-metre hull number. WV0138 titled motor yacht Felis.  Altough a custom build this this latest Van der Valk is part of the Explorer line, which debuted in 2015 and has far seen four other custom units from 25 to 36 meters.  This latest Van der Valk Explorer shows the benefits of clients who truly know how to enjoy life on the water all year round. Guido de Groot designed a charming yacht inspired to the other Explorer Van der Valk units which he designed, with naval architecture for this 23 meter coming from Dutch firm Diana. Both designers designed this Van der Valk 23.56m Explorer around the specific length required by its owner, offering a spacious interior volume for a relatively compact sub 24 meters size, with navigational comfort assured by a round-bilged steel hull with bulbous bow and the low centre of gravity that comes with an aluminium superstructure.  The interior of Felis offers a four double guest accommodation plan, on a standard owners midships stateroom, forward VIP, and two cabins with twin berths. The living is all on the main deck, with a welcoming saloon on entry to port side, open galley with opposite dinette, and wheelhouse with L-shaped dinette starboard.  Located aft is the crew accommodation for two in two cabins aft and sharing a private bathroom, accessed via the lazarette with direct access to the engine room.  Van der Valk 23.56m hull number WV0138 is powered by twin Man 500hp for speeds up to thirteen knots and a cruise of twelve.

New Launch: Rossinavi 59.4m FR046

Italian shipyard Rossinavi has in June 2023 launched m/y Akula, the 59.4-metre hull number FR046 expedition super yacht at its Pisa facilities. FR046 was designed by Gian Paolo Nari with interiors by the Ancona-based studio FM Architettura, and naval architecture by Arrabito. Fitted with diesel-electric propulsion and dynamic positioning, FR046 is RINA Ice Classed super yacht built to fulfil the Owner's dream of world exploration. This Rossinavi was jointly developed with the Owner, who was actively involved in the entire concept and development process. The result is a luxury Expedition super yacht, the first of its kind in Rossinavi's fleet, created with the goal of navigating over long distances, structured with a sturdy hull that allows cruising in remote areas while ensuring absolute safety. Each space outsizes standard yachts, allowing for large storage areas and comfortable crew accommodation, while meeting standards of eco-sustainability, safety, and the ability to travel long distances. At the Owner’s request, the yacht was also developed to support marine research activities and philanthropic projects, with a large open area capable of stowing a variety of accessories, including two custom nine-meter-long tenders and various diving equipment. New Launch: Jarrett Bay 64 Sportfisherman Hull #65

Jarrett Bay Boatworks has delivered the latest evolution of their popular 64’ hull to owners with deep ties to the company since its inception nearly 37 years ago. The fifth custom boat to be commissioned by a family spanning three generations, Hull 65 has taken to the water with sleek styling and peak performance worthy of her force-to-be-reckoned, titled as m/y Rebelette as a nod to the owners’ allegiance to Ole Miss. Jarrett Bay has built many sportfish convertibles in the sixty-foot range over its history, but a series of recent 64 commissions have established this size as a signature length for it's custom fleet. Similar to every hull built before her, Rebelette was designed and built to the owner’s exact specifications and requests. Although the Alexseal Cloud White hull and top sides, along with the centreline helm station built into a peninsula console on the flying bridge, may resemble other recent Jarrett Bay builds, other likenesses are few in this latest launch. Hull 65 is the first new Jarrett Bay to be splashed with Caterpillar Marine’s latest propulsion technology, which has undergone hundreds of hours of strenuous testing on the Beaufort's custom builder 70 Sportfisherman hull 48, serving as the research and demo platform for Cat. With twin turbos on each engine, hull 65’s Cat engines are rated at 2,025hp and are complimented by the Three60 Precision Control joystick system. Jarrett Bay 64 Sportfisherman Hull#65 sea trials did not disappoint with smooth rides found at both an efficient cruise of 37 knots, with wide open speeds pushing 44 knots. Additionally, these CAT powerplants were extremely responsive in manoeuvring her loaded weight of over 35 tons as nimbly as vessels a fraction of her weight.

New Launch: Feadship 84.20m Hull. 710

Feadships has launched hull #710, an 84.20 meter super yacht designed by RWD and Monk for both exterior and interior, and titled m/y Obsidian. Feadship #710 features surprising destination spaces, such as an asymmetrical atrium staircase leading to a lower deck dining saloon, where an entire wall opens to reveal a terrace view just above sea level. Near the stern is an Aqua Lounge with massive windows below water level. In place of a mooring deck forward there is a revelatory bow observation lounge with double-curved glass floor-to-ceiling windows. Terraced aft decks float without pillars, while glass balustrades allow unobstructed views from both aft deck and fully glazed aft interior spaces, creating a vital connection to the natural environment.  Striving for innovation and first-class engineering, Feadship 710 is the perfect next step on the famous Dutch super yacht path toward building zero-emission superyachts by 2030. It is the first of the new generation of large yachts furthering carbon reduction through hulls optimised at cruising speed instead of top speed, weight control, advancements in electric propulsion, and the ability to run her generators on HVO, a second-generation biodiesel, a so-called net zero CO2 fuel. Sea trials and delivery fill where all made with HVO, reducing total CO2 emissions by about 90%. Hull 710 made full use of Feadship’s Advanced Electrical Drive program for diesel-electric hybrid power, and has 4.5 times more electrical storage capacity than the first hybrid yacht, the famous Savannah hull number. 686. Feadship #710 has also no drive shafts, and no rudders with an electric drive and steering provided by a pair of electric Veth contra-rotating thrusters. Feadship and Veth collaborated on computational fluid dynamics analysis of the drive legs and propellors’ shapes to maximize efficiency and minimize vibration.  Providing energy for the luxury hotel load accounts for much of a yacht’s fuel consumption, for Feadship 710, the engineering team took a deep dive into capturing waste heat from the custom variable speed generators and air conditioner chiller to supply heat to the AC system, pool water, domestic water, and engine preheating, while an innovative heat pump system allows the yacht to draw heat from seawater.

New Launch: Vanquish VQ80 SF

A custom order which was signed in the end of 2020 the Vanquish VQ80 SF is a sport-yacht-fish cross over, like we never have seen before.  Designed as all Vanquish by Guido de Groot with its main duty to be a chase yacht for the Heesen 60-metre superyacht hull number YN19995 Project SkyFall which launched the first half of 2023, the VQ80 SF introduces something new for Vanquish and to the conservative sea-fishing world. The VQ80 Sportsfish might be the young 2012 founded semi-custom-production Vanquish most substantive customization as yet, taking the Dutch builder away from its usual sport yacht zone into that of a hybrid between a luxurious sportfish and a sport-performance-yacht.  The customization though does not deviate Vanquish from its De Groot futuristic lines and the VQ80 SF is a sports yacht first with sportfishing features later; like the tower and free aft cockpit with central high rise aft looking mezzanine. Important to note the yacht features shine through, integrated bathing platform aft, two side opening balconies, lower helm station, and full walk around deck.  Down below the Vanquish VQ80 SF offers a three double cabins layout with an owners suite forward, and a crew cabin for two.  Performance? If competing in a sports fishing tournament the VQ80 SF might actually take first for speed, with twin Cats 2400hp and surface drive propulsion giving a 52 knots performance.

New Launch: Heesen 60m YN 19959

Heesen presents the fully custom YN 19959, titled Project SkyFall during construction phase and now christened as m/y Ultra G. Heesen says 19959 was inspired by two luxury sportfishing yachts built in the nineties which occupy a special place in the Dutch fleet, the 38 meter m/y Obsessions YN 10137 launched in 1996 which was then overtaken by the meter larger sister Red Sapphire in 1999 yn 10638. Heesen YN 19959 is the ultimate expression of the knowledge and experience gained in over forty years of shipbuilding to the finest Dutch quality standards. Despite its phenomenal top speed, there is no shortage of luxury on board this exceptional 60 metre super sport yacht. The layout in this 60 meter Heesen is conceived to welcome friends aboard for sociable fishing adventures while allowing the master apartment to maintain a necessary level of privacy, peace and quiet on the bridge deck with its private terrace. A jacuzzi, a large walk-in wardrobe and an ample bathroom with a central oval bath and separate shower stall provide all the home comforts. Entertaining family and friends is the raison d’être of all social areas, indoors and out. A custom wine fridge, with discrete sections at different temperatures, takes pride of place in the main saloon. The media room, home to a Samsung The Wall screen 1814mm by 8063mm and an elegant games table on the main deck forward, is undoubtedly the pièce de résistance. The sundeck, with its infinity pool facing aft, is ideal for receptions and musical entertainments. Canine guests are well taken care of too, thanks to a series of carefully thought-out details to make their life at sea as safe and stress-free as possible. Among several features, the most notable is certainly the 'relief area', a self-flushing area of the side deck finished in synthetic grass, complete with sensors, cameras and sprinklers. Heesen YN 19959 has thirteen crew beds to take care of ten guests, with discreet separate routing allowing them to seamlessly service every area of the yacht. Heesen YN 19959 presents an ultra-technological and sophisticated propulsion system with 22,000 horsepower generated by four MTU engines, driving four Kongsberg waterjets. The outer engines, compliant with the latest Tier III environmental regulations, drive steerable jets, while the centre engines operate fixed booster units. With less back-pressure and a slightly higher power output, the centre engines will be used solely for the highest speeds. Waterjet drives lower the yacht's draft to less than three metres and reduce vibration by 40 per cent compared with traditional shafts and propellers. Thanks to its lightweight aluminium Fast Displacement Hull Form, complete with course fins, gyro stabilisers and interceptor trim plates, Heesen yard number 19959 has an extraordinary top speed of 37 knots in light load conditions. Her efficient FDHF hull will also deliver a much smoother, flatter ride compared to a conventional semi-displacement shape, while its extra volume offers plenty of space for equipment and amenities. Three gyro-stabilisers will keep the yacht comfortable at low speeds.

Guests can marvel at the breath-taking world below sea level while enjoying the luxurious comfort of the lounge. Another dedicated haven for relaxation on main deck is the mobile 48 square meters pool, its floor capable of being elevated to the upper level and adorned with liquid marble, creating an illusion reminiscent of the sea's surface when raised, while the pool walls and surroundings are also luxuriously enveloped in marble. The crow's nest, positioned at the foot of the mast, promises an exceptional observation experience, giving the Owner and his family a privileged vantage point to soak in the surrounding beauty. Also, an exquisitely arranged large marble-clad fireplace complemented by a generous round sofa on the forward sundeck offers a warm and inviting ambiance for relaxation and social gatherings. Columbus Yachts, a brand of Palumbo Superyachts, is pleased to announce the launch of m/y Anjelif, a new 50-metre full custom built entirely in aluminium.  This 50m Columbus Custom is the seventh super yacht launched by Columbus, tailor made to the needs of her experienced owner and packed with technical and stylistic innovations like the hybrid, diesel-electric propulsion. Furthermore, this superyacht makes use of two distinct and highly advanced technologies: one through the application of cold plasma for the sanitization of air coming from outside and used both for ventilation and air conditioning; the other one dedicated to room sanitization at pre-set intervals to ensure daily safety. The first guarantees the efficient elimination of airborne viruses and bacteria in the incoming airstream, while the second automates the sanitization of each internal area of the boat. Exteriors and interiors are by Marco Casali of Too-Design while the engineering is by the Palumbo Superyachts team. The interior design has been rigorously developed with natural and ecological materials and includes a gym on the main deck, a sauna, massage room. The swimming pool in the transom with exposed teak finish is of very scenic effect, while a second Jacuzzi is located on the top deck. At the bow, we find a functional zone complete with sunbathing area and a touch & go helicopter docking platform which can be eventually transformed into an open-air cinema. The layout includes 4 decks, with the master cabin positioned on the main deck forward and 4 double cabins below deck. The crew is made up of eleven members accommodated in seven cabins. Columbus Custom 50m has a 499 GT gross tonnage and can reach a maximum speed of 20 knots with a range of 3000 nautical miles at 12 knots. Launched in the end of 2022 Benetti FB278 has indoor and outdoor spaces that ensure absolute privacy and comfort and cater to the owner’s passion for exercise and well-being. Cassetta developed the streamlined, well-proportioned exterior contours, while the interiors designed by the Benetti Style Department feature alternating light and dark colour shades, with the extensive use of maple and American walnut, ivory-coloured leathers, and white statuary and crema marfil marble. The fabrics used for the decorative cushions are by Loro Piana Interiors. The yacht extends across five enclosed decks, plus a Sundeck, and stands out for her perfectly balanced volumes. The interiors were fitted out using the ‘box in box’ method and meet the highest construction standards, testifying yet again to the shipyard’s exceptional craftsmanship, with new technology used to minimise noise transmission and ensure silent navigation at a speed of twelve knots. The stand-out feature of the 67-metre FB278 is the Upper Deck, which has a surface area of 160 square metres devoted entirely to the owner’s personal spaces. A huge Master Cabin, containing a spacious suite, an elegant double bathroom, a private office and a walk-in wardrobe, extends from midships onto the foredeck outside and offers a 180-degree view, with two curved automatic sliding doors opening out onto an exclusive lounge area furnished with chaises lounges, armchairs, a table and an original gas fireplace. While wide open, it is a very private space, much of which cannot be seen from the upper decks as a result of the carefully planned volumes and depths. The foredeck can also be used as a touch and go helicopter pad, giving the owner the greatest possible freedom when coming on board. On the same deck, an open area in the stern, with a dining table and a relaxation area furnished with armchairs and other seating, is complemented by an interior lounge with a TV cabinet. The stern area on the Main Deck hosts guests in a spacious open-air lounge, while inside we find the main lounge, with a table seating 12, sofas and armchairs, followed by the galley. The owner also wanted two large VIP cabins on this deck, one on each side of the yacht, with two garages of different sizes in the bow for the main tender and various water toys. The four guest cabins, two doubles and two with twin convertible beds, are located to midships on the Lower Deck and completely separated from the accommodation in the bow for the crew of sixteen, which at the owner’s request is decorated with materials and furnishings similar to those used in the guest area. Separate guest and crew flows and the use of dumb waiters ensure maximum privacy and excellent service on board, connecting these areas with the galley on the Main Deck and the upper decks. On the Lower Deck amidships, is the large engine room, Benetti’s first on a full custom yacht this size to fully comply with TIER III regulations because it is fitted with a scrubbing system for the exhaust gases from both the propulsion and generating systems. In the bow, the spacious swim platform and the beach club are connected to the Main Deck by two fixed stairways. A gullwing door opens onto the swim platform and lets light flood into the interiors of the beach club, where a long swing-down hatch on the starboard side provides easier access to the water and even more light. The Bridge Deck, which has an outdoor space containing a lounge area furnished with bar, sofas, TV cabinet and barbecue and is served by a pantry, revolves around the captain and the wheelhouse. The large captain’s cabin is separated from the officer and crew quarters to be close to the ship office and the futuristic helm station, which features a touchscreen console designed by Telemar. On the Sun Deck, the only deck not served by the lift, a central area with gym equipment and a Jacuzzi pool ensure the utmost in comfort and well-being.

New Launch: Heesen 67m YN 20067

Heesen has launched YN 20067, named m/y Sparta. At 66 metres, YN 20067 is Heesen largest steel super yacht so far. Sparta grew out of the Project Avanti concept which Heesen presented with Winch Design at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2018. YN 20067 immediately impressed for its yacht's athletic lines, and the design has remained true to the original concept, with only minor adjustments made to the swimming pool. Winch Design expertly incorporated Heesen's DNA to create a unique, low-profile, sporty, and elegant yacht that looks simply stunning on the water. YN 20067 sports a classic Snow White livery with a contemporary touch: metallic Venetian red and metallic anthracite grey accents that give her a particularly dashing look. The super yacht's profile is characterised by a reverse bow, augmenting her apparent length and emphasising her slender form, which is complimented by a bold and assertive sweep of thermo-bonded tinted glass from bow to stern.  The lifestyle on board YN 20067 revolves around family and togetherness. The centre of the social whirl is on the main deck aft, where a full-beam main saloon connects perfectly with the low, open-air beach terrace for enjoying life in and next to the sea. A transformer passerelle platform provides easy access to the water, while the 6.5m infinity pool is also a breath-taking sight, offering a visual link between onboard life and the vastness of the ocean.  This Heesen super yacht outdoor spaces feature custom-designed furniture by Winch Design and beautifully crafted by Siebensee and Leerdam. A matching custom limo tender, a mini version of the mothership, is conveniently stored, along with the water toys, behind the gullwing doors of the forward garage.  Winch Design made the most of the yacht's generous 1,200 GT interior volume. The general arrangement boasts two separate owner's suites on a private deck and four guest suites on the main deck. A movable partition separates the forward suites to create a full-beam VIP or a large playroom for younger family members. An elegant staircase and glass elevator serve all three decks. The lower deck is home to a 65 sqm wellness area, Japanese-inspired, featuring an elliptical whirlpool, steam room, sauna, gym, and beauty area. Carefully considered movement flows throughout the accommodation areas will allow the crew to work efficiently and unobtrusively.  The Winch Design interior is based around three different elements, with each deck representing a different component: the lower deck is themed around water, the main deck around earth, and the upper deck around air. Linking all the elements are the staggered panels of an oak staircase by London furniture maker Alex Hull, with vertical lighting to bring its intricate carving to life.  The earth-themed main saloon features dining chairs with seat backs upholstered in real palm leaf. In the relaxed seating area, a large coffee table takes centre stage, made from two parts of a dark-stained trunk of oak, and featuring a leaf-shaped, forest green marble top with a leather finish, to provide a tactile and 3D effect.  The décor of the master suite on the upper deck aft beautifully captures the lightness of air, using soft fabrics, sky blues, mother-of-pearl inlays and an abstract patterned Tai Ping carpet. In contrast, the forward section is centred around the theme of space, with a constellation wall artwork as the focal point.  YN 20067 stunning interior features exquisite cabinetwork created by Heesen Yachts Interiors, with technical areas and crew quarters crafted at the shipyard. Heesen is one of the few shipyards in the world to own its fine cabinet-making company in Winterswijk in the eastern Netherlands.  Heesen 67m YN 20067 will now undergo the final commissioning phases in our harbour before heading to the North Sea for intensive sea trials.

New Launch: Rossinavi 66m FR044

Rossinavi has launched in their facility of Viareggio project Alchemy, a 66 meter triple deck super yacht construction number 44, born from a fruitful collaboration between the Italian shipyard and Philippe Briand, Founder of Vitruvius Yachts, who is responsible for the exterior design and collaboratively with Rossinavi developed the naval architecture of Alchemy. Enrico Gobbi from Team for Design is responsible for the interior design and outdoor spaces styling. Alchemy is Rossinavi’s latest super yacht with diesel electric propulsion and is propelled by pods to reduce the loss of energy between the engines and navigation speed. Alchemy is commissioned by a private owner who has very much been involved in every aspect of the design project and has commissioned this with a brief to focus on the design of the outdoor areas and wellness aspects of the super yacht. As is usual to both Rossinavi and Phillippe Briand Alchemy’s silhouette is all about proportioned balance and exudes tranquillity. Its beauty is enhanced by optimal volumes and distribution of the living areas thanks to a meticulous process of research and development. The lifestyle nature of Rossinavi Alchemy is immediately visible from the generous outdoor square meterage, over 330 sqm well distributed across three different decks. The main amenities on the three decks include a jacuzzi, numerous sun-pads, bar, and entertaining areas together with a barbecue positioned near one of the dining spaces. The bridge deck features a salon and another al fresco dining area for more formal occasions while the main deck exposes a large cockpit. Alchemy’s capacity to carry all sorts of equipment and toys on board is remarkable. The garage area has enough space to store a vast array of equipment from paddleboards to windsurfs, from water skis to two tenders, respectively of 7m and 8m long, water slide, inflatable docks and even mountain bikes for exploration trips on land. For the interior design and outdoor spaces style of Alchemy, Enrico Gobbi created a calm and elegant atmosphere that influences all decks and areas with natural materials and a soft colour palette of beige and ivory tones has been favoured by the owners in the choice of textiles, wall coverings and upholstery. The Beach Club coincides with the super yachts welcome area which is designed to give the impression of entering a spa. The choice of teak wood enhanced by fine details in stainless steel and white marble with matt finish, provides a relaxing atmosphere; every detail was carefully studied to avoid excesses with the refinement of small details making the difference. Several rounded and curved features, including the arch-like windows of the massage room, contribute to make this area more harmonious and comfortable. Great importance has been given to the study of light and reflections. During the day, the overall area allows for natural light to come in through the opening of the hatch. However, this can be closed with the specific intention to give the opportunity to indirect lights that are hidden behind panels and marbles to shine. The marble monoliths create a checkerboard wall, in which the light creates very special reflections, giving life to rhythmic patterns from the zen mood of the marble wall. The main materials utilised for the design of the exterior areas are natural teak combined with white natural stone surfaces and prestigious steel detailing. Every single piece of furniture is bespoke, including the oversized sofa in the main salon which is one of its kind. The decor of the decks on Alchemy joins in a dialogue with the interiors where soft greys are used for the main exterior deck areas, while blue and white have been preferred for the bridge and fly decks. One of the highlights of the interiors of Rossinavi Alchemy, as Enrico Gobbi likes to point out, is a monumental, suspended staircase that takes centre stage in the main salon and connects the bridge to the upper deck. The grand staircase creates a dramatic connection with the two areas through a vertical opening right in the heart of the yacht featuring suspended glass steps that are supported between two partitions of white Carrara marble with elegant leather details. The five guest cabins of Alchemy share a common thread in terms of main materials that are used for the wall ceilings but some elements that make each cabin more personal have been used, such as specific artworks that the owners have personally sourced during their trips all over the world or specific decor features.
