New Model: Sealine S430

It is very annoying from Sealine that in the website, a new model will still show renders of a boat, even if this has launched new over a year ago, and so to get a real feel of the new Sealine I had to go and look for photos from brokerage sites or copy paste from a video. Rant over, but this is really annoying and has been happening at Sealine for quite some time! The new Sealine S430, is the Sport version of the 430 platform also available in F for Flybridge or C for Coupe fully enclosed hardtop. The Sealine S430 offers the most exterior spaces and offers a large C-shaped dinette which splits to become two L-shaped lounge sofas. To the forward of the cockpit is a helm station to starboard, while to port is twin companion-way settee. Below the deck the Sealine S430 offers a two cabins layout sleeping five with an option to replace the third birth in the midships cabin to a second en-suite head serving the guest cabin. Another option is to have the forward double berth with a scissor movement which splits the berth to twins.

Project: Fairline Phantom 65

Fairline present the Phantom 65 project, a sport bridge yacht of nineteen meters in length based on the platform of the Targa 65 and Squadron 68 flagship models.  Most interesting is that this project returns the Phantom model series name, albeit in a different dress to what it was in the past. A brief history of the Phantom model series which first appeared in 1974 with the raised bridge 32, and then returning in 1990 with the 41 which at the time was the third largest model in the range, and then becoming from 1994 till 2009 the entry level flybridge motor cruiser range.  The Phantom was a successful range, going up in size to a 50 model produced from 2002 to 2009, with its prettiest being the 46 which sold around two hundred units in a production run which lasted eight years. In 2009 Fairline scraped the Phantom model name marking all new flybridge boats from there onward as Squadron, something which stays as at today. Enters the sport bridge type of Sport Yachts, and Fairline clean off the Phantom name for this 65, what will be its second largest model in the current line up.  The Fairline Phantom 65 will have a main deck layout with astern galley, while four lower deck layouts are available; with the standard being a three ensuited cabins plus a day head layout. Two other options differ on the three cabin layouts, both of which lose the fourth day head; one of which offers a larger VIP suite forward, and an other option offering an utility room. The last fourth option is for a four cabins layout. A single berth crew cabin is located aft to starboard.  The Fairline Phantom 65 will be standard powered by Cats 1150hp good for 31 knots top speed, and or optional 1622hp engines which makes top end go up to 35 knots.

Flybridge Cruiser Burns in Lavagna

A Ferretti flybridge cruiser of twelve meters in length went ablaze while in its mooring in Lavagna marina, to the South East of Genova in Italy at around 1430 hours of 22 January.  A fast call and immediate moving to the Ferretti cruiser from its berth to the under wing of the Eastern Lavagna marina break water caused no damage to any other boats.  With four fire fighting squads, including additional teams from nearby Chiavari and Santa Margherita saved the Ferretti cruiser from going total ablaze and becoming a total loss, with pump assistance saving it from sinking.  The cause of the fire is not reported.
This Ferretti is a 39 Altura as designed by Ferretti first generation designer Antocio Pusceddu and produced from 1989 till 1993 in 71 units.  Replacing the 40 Altura which launched in 1986, the Ferretti 39 Altura came on the hull lines of the 40 Roadster an innovative fully enclosed hard-top cruiser which launched a year before in 1988, and was replaced by the 120 Fly in 1993.

New Model: Cantiere Delle Marche Darwin 106

Cantiere delle Marche has launched its first Darwin 106 model, named m/y Uptight she has been designed to fulfil her owner desire to have a reliable and comfortable explorer super yacht to enjoy months long fishing expeditions in remote and uncontaminated seas. The owners family owns a few fisherman yachts and they wanted to add a slow, displacement explorer vessel to enjoy long expeditions from the moment the yacht leaves the quay to the final destination. Fast trip to fishing spots and adrenaline fishing activities will be held by using the yacht’s large ‘tender’, which is an American Fisherman that will be towed during long trips. The new Darwin 106 is based on the naval platform of the 102, designed, engineered and modified by Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec to match her owner requests. For its layout and technical characteristics Darwin 106 meets American standards, according to her Owner’s wishes the yacht features a specifically designed layout with a country kitchen which opens onto the main salon giving the whole environment an informal atmosphere and, instead of a sky-lounge, the Upper Deck hosts a panoramic Owner Stateroom. The most peculiar feature of Darwin 106 is the aft cockpit fitted as that to a sportfisherman. The stern platform has been transformed into an enclosed cockpit with a bulwark. A ‘battle station’ has been centrally placed in the cockpit, and fishing will be carried in ‘stand up’ position allowing multiple strikes to be managed at the same time, giving more fun to the ‘fishing family’. Screw-less rod holders, have been placed on the large teak cap-rail around the cockpit, all equipped with drainages and an easy access for periodic maintenance. Many lockers holding tackle boxes are encompassed into the fishing cockpit bulwarks while flush floor tanks with water recirculation and pump for live fish bait are located on the transom and below the cockpit floor. The adjoining lazarette is arranged cohesively with the fishing activities and include a small yet fully equipped workshop. A double Eskimo ice maker with both salt and fresh water is in the main cockpit alongside a few freezers located beneath the sofa. In order to increase the range also in terms of food loading capacity, the storage space has been improved and optimized for long term food conservation. An outstanding interior layout makes the most out of the 255GT of the Darwin 106. The interior, decorated by Francesco Guida, features a large and welcoming main salon with lounging and dining areas in direct connection with the galley located to port side. Three crew cabins are located on the main deck forward alongside a crew mess. Five guest cabins; two double, a large Vip and two twins are on the lower deck. The Owner stateroom open onto the upper deck stern terrace. On the same deck there is a roomy and well-appointed wheelhouse. A large Sun deck, equipped with all amenities to spend hours enplein air, tops the yacht’s nicely shaped superstructure. Darwin 106 displacement hull is fitted with twin Cats 670hp engines which deliver a top speed of thirteen knots, and a remarkable range of above 4700 nautical miles at nine knots.

A ten meter classic Trojan sportfish cruiser was wrecked by fire while berthed at Lighthouse Point Marina in Shawcrest, Cape May, New Jersey on the night of Wednesday nineteen January.  Fire fighters responded to the blaze, and encircled the fire keeping to this one vessel, and also managed to keep the sport cruiser from sinking.  No injuries were reported from the fire also because no one was onboard the boat during the fire.  Sea Tow Cape May who shared this story on it's Facebook page, were later given duties to remove the wreck.

New Launch: F&S 61 Hardtop Express Hull #30

FandS present the 61 hardtop express, hull number 30 and called Soul Candy by its owner.  FandS hull thirty was designed as a family-friendly express sportfish yacht with space for entertaining, with a host of custom options that allow the owner-operator to communicate and interact with the crew on fishing trips to the Gulf of Mexico and the Bahamas. One of the primary challenges with FandS hull #30 was to add a tall owner, and superior interior headroom. Keeping the sweeping lines FandS is known for, while accommodating someone of height, would require some out-of-the-gate thinking. The design team created a two meters plus character named Fred within the CAD program, who would be moved around the virtual boat to be sure proper clearance of areas such as the companionway, staterooms and showers. Cad-Fred was also integral to helm line-of-sight, both while running and to the angler in the fighting chair, and because the interior space is directly connected to all the exterior dimensions, it was necessary to consider every detail. FandS 61 Hardtop Express features an eleven squared meters cockpit deck which easily fits the large fighting chair with an offset pedestal and on-deck tuna tubes, essential when you plan on fighting some of the monsters living near the rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. The classic straight lines of the teak cockpit boards tame the curvy, signature FandS radial mezzanine and transom live-well. A giant lazarette is accessible by way of a Freeman Marine deck hatch located under the chair’s footrest and ensures safe, dry storage below for the multitude of systems located there. The bright interior of the helm deck is striking. The hardtop express design allows for a view of the world around her, and FandS takes the view to new levels by incorporating one giant piece of custom curved glass on each side. By doing so, there is little to break that uninterrupted sightline, providing a true, 360-degree perspective. FandS 61 Hardtop Express runs smooth and quiet at all speeds, thanks to the twin MTU 1600hp engines giving a solid cruising speed of 35 knots and a top end of 42 knots.

Project: Silent 62 3-Deck

Silent Yachts continues an exciting journey to the bright and green future, with the innovative Austrian shipyard introduced a new project based on the Silent 60 model, now with another level of space and comfort for its guests. The Silent 62 Tri-Deck is based on the 60 platform, however, it includes a third deck and adds two feet to the hull’s length.  One unit has been sold to a client in Europe and two units to clients from the US.  The Silent 62 Tri-Deck will have an extra deck instead of a flybridge which comes with the standard 60 model. This allows to add fifty square meters of useful space for guests. Three different layout options are available for the third deck: open sky lounge, closed sky lounge or an owner’s suite.  Open sky lounge version: instead of the standard flybridge, the open version offers a open fly deck with bar and galley, a dining table and bench for ten to twelve persons, several sofas and lounge areas and a fly helm.  Closed sky lounge version: provides a closed fly deck equipped with a bar, a second galley and a dining table offering an unobstructed 360° panoramic view. Aft of the sky-lounge there is a terrace with several sofas and lounge areas.  Owner’s suite version: offers a generous owner´s suite with an en-suite bathroom and an unobstructed 360° panoramic view. Aft of the owner´s suite, there is a private terrace with several sofas and lounge areas.  The Silent 62 Tri-Deck has a high-performance hull shape that has been optimized with CFD study, with longer waterline and reverse bow. Her exterior design’s signature details are the long window stripe at the sidewall of the hull and more window surface overall.   The catamaran yacht can be handled by two people with ease and offers plenty of space for families and crew. The optional hydraulic stern platform which also serves as a swimming platform, can accommodate a tender of up to four meters in length. For adventurers, additional water toys, SUP´s, kayaks and e-bikes can be stored in the bridge deck.  The powertrain used for the new model is the same as for the Silent 60, with the 62 Tri-Deck equipped with 42 powerful solar panels achieving up to 17 kWp. The self-sufficient yacht uses silent electric propulsion for unlimited range with no noise or fumes and minimal vibration. Because of that, the operational costs of the vessels are substantially lower compared to power yachts using more traditional propulsion systems. The yacht’s draft is just under one meter, which allows her to reach shallower bays which might be crucial for areas like the Caribbean and South East Asia.  The Silent 62 Tri-Deck is available in several layouts ranging from three to six staterooms on the lower deck with a maximum of six bathrooms. All staterooms offer double or twin berths, and all heads include a separate shower. There is a vast salon with wide windows on the main deck and the yacht features large outside areas in the aft and bow area in order to enjoy nature and keep guests in close contact with the sea.  The salon offers fifty square meters of space while the main deck outside offers just under seventy square meters. The living area on the lower deck occupies up to 62 m².  The Silent 62 Tri-Deck is a true ocean-going cruising yacht. She can cruise efficiently for up to 100 miles a day for weeks. At the same time, the arrangement of the components enables the yacht to power all on board systems without the need to run a generator. The generator is only used to recharge the batteries in the rare case when it is required to sustain higher speeds during longer periods of time or when the weather conditions are unfavourable for several days.

Like with any of its models Viking proposes different versions on its platform, and so will be the case with its new upcoming 90 flagship model, which will replace I would say temporary the 92 after 21 units delivered.  Unlike the 92, the new 90 will have a load line of less to 24 meters making it abstain to Selective Catalytic Reduction rules which entered force in 2022.  Selective Catalytic Reduction units need further engine room space and redesigned layouts, with Viking being very vocal against the new rules to fit mandatory converters, and working a lot to delay the entry from 2020 to 22. The Viking 90 will offer a six stateroom layout, highlighted with a full beam owners stateroom at midships.  The Sky Bridge project will differ from the other standard Convertible and Enclosed Bridge versions for offering a fully equipped second helm station up top.  The Sky Bridge replaces the full-tower and makes it safer to reach then a Tuna tower helm, with the advantage that a fully fitted helm station can be equipped.  The Viking 90 is scheduled to debut in early 2023.

Azimut Cruiser Sinks in Ischia Island

An Azimut flybridge cruiser of eleven meters in length, sank while in its mooring at the marina in Casamicciola Terme, in the Island of Ischia, in the night between the twelfth and thirteenth January.  No one was onboard at the time of sinking. The cause of the sinking are not reported, but in most cases when a boat sinks this way, berthed in its mooring, it would be a failed water-cock of sorts.  Casamicciola Terme is located on the North part of the Island of Ischia, the largest of the three Naples gulf Islands, the other two being the famous Capri, and less famous but pretty Procida.
The boat in this accident is an Azimut AZ36 TrentaSei model as  designed by Bernard Olesinski and inhouse by the Italian yacht builder and produced from 1993 till 1998 in about one hundred units.  The AZ36 was a replacement to the long standing and popular John Bennet designed 37 and was replaced by the AZ39.

Engine: MAN Smart Hybrid

MAN Engines present its Smart Hybrid Experience. This completely new hybrid system marks a turning point when it comes to modern marine drives, and underlines MAN Engines’ status as pioneers in this technology. The electric motor generator unit from the MAN Smart Hybrid Experience can produce a rated power of 184 kW or 368 kW, at an extremely high efficiency rating of up to 96 percent. The permanent-magnet synchronous motor/generator is 160 mm long at 184 kW, or 320 mm at 368 kW. Its diameter is 560 mm. It is positioned on the diesel engine in front of the marine drive and can be separated from the diesel engine by an electromagnetic clutch. This results in a clear advantage for the customer, in that the operating mode can be changed without stopping the engines. In fact, this changeover can be made during operation (including as an emergency function) without interrupting the power, making operation much more convenient. The MAN Smart Hybrid Experience can be combined with all the Man marine engines in the current line from 730hp to 2000hp series, and allows for enhanced power outputs. This enables overall system outputs for each driveline ranging from 474 kW to 1,838 kW (644hp to 2,500hp), from the smallest in-line six-cylinder series to the most powerful V12. Depending on how the components are assembled, the hybrid system can thus account for up to 56 percent of the vehicle’s overall power output. With the MAN Smart Hybrid Experience, MAN Engines is the first engine supplier to offer a complete hybrid system from a single source. MAN Engines supervises shipyards and boat designers from the planning and concept phase through development, consultation on installation and technical implementation including control software, to service and maintenance. This means that B2B partners benefit from more than just intensive consultation and simplified processes throughout all stages. An additional point in MAN Engines’ favour as a system supplier is the perfect coordination of complex components such as diesel engines and electric motors, batteries, power electronics and the on-board voltage system, both with one another and with the application itself. Maximum flexibility and attention to the customer’s needs that is the MAN Smart Hybrid Experience’s motto. Alongside power levels that can be scaled to almost any level thanks to the wide range of diesel engines, the degree of hybrid power can be tailored to the customer and expressed in the system design principles of performance, comfort and efficiency. To achieve this, MAN Engines makes use of a wide range of technically mature series components. All the possible drive configurations such as V-Drive, IV-Drive, parallel drives and down angle can also be connected to the MAN Smart Hybrid Experience. The performance, efficiency and comfort system design principles are tailored to specific applications on the basis of the Zero Emission, Diesel-Electric, Cross-Over, Hotel, Boost and Diesel operating modes. With the main diesel engines, on-board generator sets, high-voltage (HV) batteries and a land connection as power sources, the advantages of the MAN hybrid system (combined or in isolation) can be exploited in a targeted way. This enables, for example, highly economical operation, an increase in range, access to Emission Controlled Areas thanks to emission-free operation, or additional power as a power boost. In hotel mode, the battery capacity can also be used when the boat is docked. The plug-in hybrid’s HV battery is charged via the integrated land connection, and through the diesel engines or on-board generator sets when the boat is on the move. For its MAN Smart Hybrid Experience, MAN Engines uses battery systems from different manufacturers for specific applications, which are connected in series in modules. As high-energy cells, they are designed with a high energy density at a voltage > 600 V, enabling flexible battery operation between 500 V and 750 V in the intermediate circuit. This enables quick charging of the batteries, and provides the basis for major energy consumers such as the boost function. At the same time, the highest safety standards are guaranteed as the drive system has been approved by classification societies.

Ten Dead in Brazil Cliff Collapse

Ten people died when a cliff collapsed on boaters on Lago de Furnas in Capitolio on Saturday eight January.  Other 32 people where injured in the accident, with Fire Fighters, Rescue Teams, and Brazilian Navy still investigating the area for other bodies.  The giant big rock collapsed from the cliff and fall on two small sized, about five meters speed boats.  In a video some minutes previous to the accident showed online on social media, a lady is heard shouting to some of the boaters telling them to keep the distance from the rock as the water is angry and dangerous.  According to initial reports the rock is believed to have collapsed due to the heavy incessant rain of recent days in the area.
Lago de Furnas is an artificial lake created to the North of Rio Grande in 1958 for a hydro electrical plant, and is a popular tourist attraction located some 250 miles to the North of Sao Paolo, which in weekend sees some 5000 visitors, and goes up to 30,000 in holiday season.

New Model: CL Yachts CLX96

After much anticipation Cheoy Lee CL Yachts first sea activity vessel inspired super yacht the CLX96 has made its technical launch. The splashing of the 29 meter super yacht was briefly held up due to issues surrounding the pandemic, but now the process is humming along smoothly.  Which is excellent, because the vessel has already received much fanfare for its innovative design and luxurious features. CLX96 has previously won Good Design Award 2020, a Bronze A’ Design Award 2021 as well as the prestigious award from the International Yacht and Aviation Awards 2021.  CLX96 rugged performance is mirrored by her unique aesthetic, which masterfully blends gracefulness and muscularity into a style referred to as workboat chic. Paramount to this look is the yacht’s two-level deckhouse with reverse-sheer windshields.  The angle of those windshields has a highly functional, multiple purpose. First, in rough seas, water washes away from a reverse sheer smoothly and efficiently, ensuring good sight-lines when you need them the most. Secondly, the angle of the windshields reduces a greenhouse effect in the interior, keeping it cool and comfortable for passengers. The windshield works in concert with CLX96’s instantly recognizable plumb bow to make this yacht the star at any harbour she may visit.  A final advantage is that the vertical windows allow for more interior space, a major reason why this yacht feels so massive inside.  The instantly iconic profile was dreamed up by Milan-based designer Jozeph Forakis, who is best known for his work outside the yachting industry, who brought a fresh touch and a rebel’s insight to the sketches. CL Yachts anticipates a cruising speed of 22 knots and a top speed of 27 knots at half load and coming from twin Caterpillar 1900hp engines.

Project: Ferretti 860

Ferretti Yachts gears up to bring a new symphony to life: Ferretti Yachts 860 project. The flybridge super yacht created by the Cattolica-based Shipyard features cutting-edge design and technology solutions, where the stylistic and architectural elements work together in harmony right down to the tiniest detail. This unique pocket super yacht with her eye-catching design stands out for comfort, a strong focus on well-being, outstanding performance, optimisation of space, and multiple opportunities to customise the settings, all with the elegance of Made in Italy style. The result collaboration between the Product Strategy Committee led by Mr. Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, Ferretti Yachts 860 is the third yacht developed by architect Filippo Salvetti for exterior design and Ideaitalia for the interiors. The yacht’s exteriors feature a number of innovations that improve on market standards in her segment. They include: the introduction of floor-to-ceiling windows and glass fashion plates, which punctuate the sleek, powerful silhouette and characterise her contours; the windows in the hull and superstructure that share the same family feeling as the brand’s latest models. The interior design is even more radical and striking, dominated by harmonious, flowing lines set off by several distinctive accents. The stand-out features are the helical staircase on the main deck, which leads down to the lower deck and around which the entire layout develops, the freestanding furniture, and the clean geometrical curves inspired by Art Deco, creating a perfect synthesis of sophisticated yet understated design. The versatility of the interiors translates into a project that leaves the owner ample choice to design their own onboard experience. Here too, the sense of seamless continuity between interiors and exteriors is encouraged by opening windows in both hull sides. This blend of styles and trends is now a distinctive feature of the new Ferretti Yachts, taking its cue from the “Just Like Home” concept: comfort, timeless design and craftsmanship. Also noteworthy is the evolution of stylistic features, dominated by the rich architectural details that characterise many of the structural and interior design elements on board. Classic cabinetry alternates with a fresh, contemporary aesthetic. Ferretti Yachts 860 will be available in Classic and Contemporary moods: the first featuring darker, warmer colours and striking contrasts, the second with paler, cooler colours, characterised by tone-on-tone shades through to total white. The layout of the lower deck provides four cabins: the master cabin midships, the VIP cabin forward, and two doubles: one with a double bed, one with twin beds, and both with ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen is multifunctional based on market requirements, with the semi-raised helm station forward, clearly separated from the guest area, and passenger flows are organised specifically to increase the levels of privacy of the owner and their guests, with the galley and service area separated from the lounge by sliding doors and the helm station providing direct access to the crew quarters, which contain two double cabins with private bathrooms. On board, the brand’s best-loved features are re-interpreted in an evolved form. The result is maximum continuity between indoor and outdoor settings, with the exteriors providing spaces for conviviality and relaxation that echo the interior finishings and furnishings, extending the areas for socialising and privacy on board. The cockpit is a spacious area with a glass parapet at the stern, furnished with two facing sofas and a large central table. The beach area can be entered from either side of the yacht and provides access to the garage, which can contain two water toys, a 3.95 m tender and a two-seater jet ski, representing a valuable plus point in this segment of the market. Other highlights include the possibility of configuring the flybridge with freestanding furniture alongside a big multi-function bar unit, the dinette area seating eight, and an optional jacuzzi on the aft deck. Absolute comfort is guaranteed by a hard top available in three different configurations: fixed glass, opening glass, or with shading blades. The foredeck features a space that can be converted from a dining area into a spacious sun pad. Ferretti Yachts 860 will be equipped with twin Man 2000hp, giving her a cruising speed of 27 knots and a top speed of 32 knots. Also available is a version with two Man 1800hp, for a cruising speed of 24 knots and a top speed of 28 knots. Seakeeper stabilizer or Zero Speed hydraulic fin systems can be installed on request according to individual navigating and mooring needs.

Best of 2021

The times are a changing, and against all forecast 2021 featured unthinkable growth to the yacht industry.  No one ever thought that Covid-19 and lock downs and social distance would bring this to the yachting World.  The yachting industry has been on a growing pattern in the last five to six years, but what happened in the last year was unthinkable, even in the best of forecasts, with some models having order books going into 2025.  Without further ado lets go into PowerYachts best of 2021.

PowerYacht's best of 2021 is the Sunseeker 90 Ocean. Announced as 8X project in 2019, the 90 Ocean was one of the first creations directed by Andrea Frabetti at Sunseeker.  It represents a total novelty for Sunseeker design language thanks to unique internal and outside space volumes, yet at the same time competing with similar explorer inspired super yachts without looking a copy-paste thanks to Sunseeker signature identity.  The Poole famous name was on a roll in 2021 with the 65 Sport Yacht also short listed for the Best of list.

The others.

Azimut Grande Trideck 38m. The largest Azimut ever build is full of innovation.  From a record breaking internal volume to size, to the three plus one deck, and going into Azimut Displacement2Planning patented hull which reduces fuel consumption.

Bimax 28 Alchimia. Bimax an unknown name to many, presents a forward looking shaft drive propulsion reducing fuel consumption, planning entrance, and the hump at slow speeds.  Nowadays propulsion are left to engine makers, but the small Bimax is doing all this.

Evo Yachts V8. Initially born as an independent project called Velar 78 of designer Valerio Rivellini, Evo Yachts main design man.  Seeing the interest in the project Evo Yachts jumped on this sailing boat inspired explorer sport yacht.  It looks different.

Fiart Cetera 60. Helped by Francesco Guida Fiart defy convention with its first live aboard explorer yacht.  Its all unusual in the Cetera 60 from exterior looks to the cabin area on the main deck, living on the upper deck, and a technical area below deck.

ISA Super Sportivo 100 GTO.  55 knots fast and sleek beautiful for an ISA like never made before, thanks also to designer Marco Casali.  Inspired to the US laurel crowned badge.

Lion Evolution 6.0.  A fast explorer yacht of seventeen meters from a new young Italian name.  Its style defies convention, as does the engine propulsion choices, which goes from quadruple petrol gas outboards as featured in hull one, to inboard with IPS and or line shaft.

Otam 70 HT. This new 70 HT sees Giuseppe Bagnardi take first design duties for Otam who presents the boutique custom yacht builder with its most modern looking creation to date.  Hull one was named a looking the part Darth Vader.

Solace 415 CS. A twelve meter US made centre console is all about three or four outboards at the back and high fifty knots plus speeds.  Solace a young 2019 founded builder new 415 CS flagship changes this, powered by twin 440hp Volvo diesel on stern drives.

Never stop. Wally Why200. Luca Bassani's Wally has been rewriting yacht design since its appearance in 1994.  Previous to 2021 and the Why200 there was a large consensus though that Wally's trend setting minimalism was irresistibly beautiful, and unknowingly reshaped both modern sailing and motor yacht design.  The new Why200 has many saying it is an ugly duck, and then there is that fore main deck master stateroom with 270 degrees views, something unseen in a yacht of any size.  It is a Wally!

PowerYacht wishes to all its followers, friends, readers, and visitors a Healthy and Prosperous 2022 year.
