Improve-it = Outer Reef 650 Classic MY

For years the 700 Classic Motoryacht has been the most popular model for Outer Reef thanks to her sheer volume, ample storage, ease of owner operation, award winning performance in blue waters and the list goes on.  For 2022 Outer Reef decided to improve the 650 Classic MY putting some of the features of the bigger 700 sister.  The a re-engineered Outer Reef 650 Classic MY thus takes useful design cues from her larger sister, which will include the following.  A larger galley with open layout dimensionally mimicking the 700 Series with full-size refrigeration appliance station, and main deck with day head to starboard.  Below deck accommodation with heads fore and aft the master king berth emulating the 700 Series.  Other improvements come in the internal stairs from the salon to the crew cabin which also follows the improved layout of crew/guest quarters aft with the new internal staircase.  This layout also makes it possible to specs the crew cabin as a guest suite making the 650 Classic MY a four cabin yacht.  Last but not lease the 650 Classic MY is now added with a fiberglass staircase to the flybridge versus the previous stainless steel ladder.

Outer Reef New Web Site

Outer Reef Yachts updates its virtual web showroom to a new version. Outer Reef was started unknowingly in 1996 by current Chief Executive Officer and President Jeff Druek, a previous luxury home builder who did a couple of deals selling speculative build yachts decided to build a sixty foot long range motor yacht for himself.  As it happens this first Outer Reef   Completely hand built and finished in Taiwan with a design and US building standards, Outer Reef Motor and Super Yachts are built to CE A category, and have semi displacement hull shapes. Most sought from Outer Reef yachts is the speed which gives a long range at a slow ten knots cruise, but also top speeds in the twenty knots region to return quickly in harbor when the weather does not look good. A much appreciated feature in all Outer Reef yachts is the semi customization which goes from the finishing to the planning of the inside meeting up with the owners wishes. Outer Reef has seen growth in recent years, helped by rise in fuel prices and an increase in semi displacement hulled yachts interests, with buyers looking more to engines with less power, and more convenient to run boats. Currently Outer Reef offers twenty models from 58 to 115 feet, divided in two ranges; Classic and Trident series. The entry level model is the 580 Motor Yacht, while the flagship is the 115 Explorer. The new Outer Reef website navigates you around with the following buttons: Models, Yachts for Sale, Media, Service, Location, About, and Contact Us.  Outer Reef is also on social media with a links at the bottom right of the entry page taking you to the; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube pages.

Project: Outer Reef 530 Trident

Outer Reef Yachts announces the launch of an exciting new model range, the Trident Series. This new series boasts a notable departure from Outer Reef’s classic product lines that have come before her. Developed in cooperation with Setzer Yacht Architects, the Outer Reef Trident Series embodies a unique synthesis of stylistic innovation, technology and functionality. The attractive plumb bow hull design, chic styling elements, and new length options are introduced with the 530 model. The series also offers superior performance, heightened speeds, and enhanced fuel efficiency, representing only some of the many features that lend to her appeal. In addition, the Trident Series will maintain the valued benefits of safety and efficiency, and as the other Outer Reef will be built to CE Category A-Unlimited ocean category. With these valued attributes, and born from market demand, twelve Outer Reef Tridents have already been ordered from plan and rendering designs prior to her official launch. The first 530 will make her world debut at the 2015 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The Outer Reef Trident Series, as a production series, will uphold Outer Reef Yacht’s high quality manufacturing and customer service, while yielding two things: an attractive price point well below the competition, and an enhanced specification. Differing from the company’s previous semi-custom product lines, the series offers her owners the flexibility of three attractive interior palettes including modern, transitional, or traditional elements, in combination with three layout configurations. The innovative features of the new series continues to impress throughout the engine room, equipped with twin Cummins 550hp engines and pod drives as standard, which allows the 530 Trident to cruise economically, comfortably and safely at 10 knots, with a fast cruise speed of 18-20 knots and attain a top speed of 28 knots. Cruising speed and efficiency is greatly increased by a newly designed hull, that performs like a planing hull at a higher speed, yet is very stable and seaworthy at slower speeds with her patented Tri-brid semi-displacement design. Even with resin infused technology, which guarantees perfect resin to composite ratios for weight savings, the 530 Outer Reef Trident Series still weighs in at over 26 tons at half load. This is a robust displacement for a yacht of this size, hinting a solid construction a quality for which Outer Reef Yachts has garnered a fame for. The new 530 Trident will pave the way for additional length offerings including larger 650 and 750 models.

The 86 Skylounge is also equipped with STAR system stabilization at rest provided by TRAC. The Turkish owner opted for a four cabin interior with a full beam owners suite, and VIP cabin to fore. Crew quarters with two cabins, a lobby and direct engine room access is located to aft. The 86 Skylounge is powered by twin Cats 705hp engines. New Model: Outer Reef 63

Outer Reef launched the new 63 model in the fall of 2008, what is an interesting addition to this US builder feel big medium range explorer yachts line, presenting here a comfortable live aboard interior offering an upper deck of spacious proportions, and a lower accommodation area with 3 cabins and 2 heads. The inside of the 63 welcomes you in the lounging saloon with an l-shaped settee to port with opposite 2 movable chairs, up 2 steps you find a well sized open plan galley to port, and further to fore you come to the interior small ship like helm station with a central single seat with lounging 6 people l-shaped settee behind it for guest views during the navigation. In this fore part of the main deck you also have the two stairways for the cabins and the flybridge. Standard lower accommodation deck features a mid-ship full beam en-suite owners stateroom, a VIP cabin to fore, guest head and a third bunk cabin. Saying all this it is worth to note that all this is semi custom, so what you read above can all be changed really to suit your needs. An interesting feature of the 63 is also the low to the water fish fighting deck aft, surely more appreciated by US buyers then European ones, who like fishing normally as much as they love boating. Power for the 63, is by twin Caterpillar C9Acert 503hp, which give a 20 knots top speed and max all time cruising of 17 knots. While the Outer Reef 63 can be driven at lower economical displacements speeds, the above surely is not bad at all especially when your barometer starts heading down and you want to take your beloved ones in harbour. The 63 is Outer Reef current smaller model, but a 58 and 60 are in building schedule and if the feel big properties like wide side decks and comfortable aft and forward decks are your thing this builder surely deserves a top look.
