New Model: Solaris Power 52 Coupe

Solaris has for the 2024 Dusseldorf boat show debuted its new 52 Coupe model.  The 52 Coupe is based on the hull line of the 52 Open which arrived some months before with the difference of an enclosed cabin pilot house on the main deck, thus it is more of an all weather cabin yacht.  The Solaris 52 Coupe is offered in two lower deck Cabin A and Cabin B versions, with the A offering two cabins and owners stateroom at midships, and B and three cabins two head lower deck layout.  The enclosed main deck offers a living area with saloon to starboard behind the helm station and a galley located opposite to port side.  Tender storage is a garage located behind the aft sun-pad.  The Solaris 52 Coupe is powered by twin Volvo 480hp as standard or optional 600hp, both options with IPS pod drives.

Project: Solaris Power 70 Grand Coupe

Solaris Power presents the 70 Grand Coupe project, as designed by Dragani.  The 70 Grand Coupe is based on the hull lines of the 70 Long Range project which Solaris Power presented the past Spring and is also designed by Dragoni, with the difference between the two yachts is that the 70 Coupe as the name entails has no flybridge.  Other differences is that the aft deck of the 70 Coupe has a sun-pad aft deck, offered in two from three of the layouts available.  The standard Version A and optional Version C are an aft sunpad version, while Version B comes with the opposing settees dinette as found in the 70 Long Range.  For the interior this theme continues as the standard Main Deck Layout A offers a different layout with galley to starboard, and optional Layout B and C having an astern galley to port as found on the flybridge version.  The lower deck in Solaris Power 70 Coupe is a standard four cabins three heads layout, with an optional Cabin Layout B replacing the fourth single berth cabin with a day head by the stairs.  The Solaris Power 70 Coupe is to be powered by twin Volvo 725hp and or optional 1000hp with IPS pod drives.

New Model: Solaris Power 60 Open

Solaris Power continue to upgrade it's walk-around range debuting its largest model to date with the just launched 60 Open.  The Solaris Power 60 Open is again a design of Brunello Acampora, the naval architect who has designed all the Solaris Power models to date in both hull architecture and exterior lines.  In the 60 Open we also have interiors by Roseo, who presented three different lower deck layouts offering three or two cabins.  The standard three double cabins layout called C cabin version offers a forward master stateroom with two guest cabins at midships and an L-shaped relaxing sofa.  The other two options for the 60 Open move the master stateroom to midships, with version A offering a VIP suite forward, and an en-suited third cabin with two inline berths located to port side.  In version B the third cabin is replaced by an L-shaped relaxing sofa.  A single berth crew cabin is available as an option located in between the engine room and cabin area.  Exterior wise the Solaris Power 60 Open uses all the available space with the fulcrum area being at the middle in behind the pilot station, with two wet-bars and L-shaped dinettes making for a very large lounging dinning area which can be further expanded by the side drop down bulk-heads, and also served by two sun-pads to fore and aft.  The 60 Open is powered by standard twin Volvo 600hp Volvo engines with IPS pods propulsion which give a top speed up to thirty knots, with optional of 725hp and or 1000hp taking speeds up to 39 knots.

Project: Solaris Power 60 Coupe

Solaris Power present the project for a new 60 Coupe, as designed by Brunello Acampora of the famous Victory design studio from Naples, Italy, the designer of all its models.  The 60 Coupe will use same hull as the 60 Open version set to debut at the end of this year, of which it will also share the spot as flagship and largest model to date of the Solaris Power range, although the Italian yacht builder did at some point have a project for a bigger 78 model.  Choice will be an important part of the Solaris Power 60 Coupe with the model being offered with three lower deck choices, of three or two double cabins.  The standard layout will offer a master suite forward, with two guest rooms amidships and a relaxing sofa in between the cabins with the guest shower head opposite.  A-cabin version is a different to the standard layout three cabin three head version, with the master stateroom moving at midships, and the third cabin moving to port side, with B-cabin version offering the same layout but with the third cabin replaced by an L-shape relaxing sofa in between the en-suite cabins.  The living on the Solaris Power 60 Coupe is all on the main deck, with an astern galley layout, L-shaped sofa further forward, and helm station to starboard.  Tender storage is in a garage underneath the sun-pad aft.  The Solaris Power 60 Coupe is to be powered by twin Volvo 600hp as standard, and optional 725hp or 1000hp engines with IPS pod propulsion.  Top speeds are estimated up to 27 knots with the standard engines, and go up to 36 knots from the large twin 1000hp option.

Solaris Power New Web Site

Solaris Power presents its new web site.  Solaris Power arrived in 2019 as the motor boat and yachting arm of Solaris sailing yachts.  Solaris started out as the sailing yacht brand of Se.Ri.Gi which was founded in 1974 by Puntin and De Cesco in Aquileia by the River Natissa, on the Northern East part of Italy and the Adriatic sea, what is still the home for sail yachts production.  In the first two years Serigi is a sub-contractor to other builders fitting out sailing boats mostly those for Benello from Livorno, debuting the Solaris name and its first sailing yacht, the 37 designed by Frans Maas three years later in 1977. The first Solaris is followed by a second 47 model designed by Sparkman and Stephens in 1979, which was based on the Illiria 46 from Benello who ceases operation in 1977 following the dead of Giacomo Benello the owner.  Solaris will keep expanding its sailing yacht line with a Frans Maas designed 39 in 1981, and the Zero line as designed by Doug Peterson which debuts with the 65 model in 1987 and is followed by a raised saloon Zero 76 in 1995.  In 2001 Solaris presents a fully dedicated racing sail machine with the IMS 52 Mascalzone Latino as designed by Bruce Farr.  In 2006 Solaris debuts its modern looking Bill Tripp designed 48 model, showing the North East Italian builder new design language.  The current Solaris sail yachts designer Javier Soto starts in 2013 with the 72 Classic, evolving Tripp's design language and since then has designed all the sailing yachts by the North East Italy yacht builder from fifteen to 33 meters.  Giuseppe Giuliani takes over Solaris in the end of 2010, and since then has expanded it to ever new heights, not only by expanding the sailing yacht line but by also debuting the motor boat Power line in 2019, and purchasing semi-custom sail yacht specialist CNB which was founded in 1987 and since 1992 has been owned by Beneteau Group.  Giuliani enters boat building in 1973, when he funds Cantieri del Pardo Grand Soleil, and in 1998 will also buy Dufour from France, to then sell all to a US investment firm in 2006.  Solaris first motor boat comes in 1997 when it gets a one off commission for a traditional down-east lobster boat looking 47 Express Cruiser as designed by Bruce King and build in cold moulding.  After this one off motor boat it will take 22 years for Solaris Power to arrive with Giuliani first updating his high-end Performance Boats establishment in Forli he created in 2008 to accommodate motor boat construction, and team up with Norberto Ferretti and yacht designer and naval architect Brunello Acampora.  Norberto will leave the project in 2020, while Brunello Acampora has since then designed all the eleven models of the Power line.  Solaris Power line debuts with the 55 Lobster in early 2019 which is followed by the 48 Open on the fall of that same year, 48 Flybridge in 2020, and the 48 Lobster in early 2021.  Solaris Power currently offers eleven models divided into the three; Open, Coupe and Lobster, and Flybridge lines, which start from the 40 Open and go up to the still in project 60 Open, with its latest model being the 52 Open which was presented in 2023. In 2019 Solaris Power also showed a project for a 78 Lobster, although its current largest build to date is the 57 Lobster which debuted the Power line in 2019, then named as the 55 Lobster model. A project like all Solaris Power of Brunello Acampora, the 52 Open follows the priorities of this six model line, for full length walk-around deck exterior spaces; and lower deck fully dedicated to overnight accommodation.  The Solaris Power 52 is offered in three exterior deck plans with the choices revolving around the central dinette and galley-wet-bar layout, and comes out as standard with two opposite settees called layout B, C-shaped dinette looking aft layout A with the galley becoming an L-shaped, and layout C with a forward looking dinette.  The choices of the Solaris Power 52 do not stop, with two lower deck plan choices; two cabins version with central master room, and a three cabins layout relocating the owners suite forward, and two cabins at midships.  In both versions the lower deck is fully dedicated to the cabins, no dinette or galley option available.  An optional crew cabin is available in the two cabins version, located to port side with separate entry from the main deck.  Other options in the Solaris Power 52 are the flip down bulkheads which increase deck space by about 30%, and are located in the middle of the cockpit area adjacent with the dinette.  During the Genoa boat show Solaris was telling me that the bulkhead option is ordered in like 50% of units sold, with the metallic colour chosen in like 90% of the units.  The Solaris Power 52 Open is standard powered by rather small for twenty tons twin Volvo 480hp, and or optional 600hp with IPS pod propulsion.  Speeds are thirty knots with the standard engines, and 35 knots with the optional larger 600hp engines.

Project: Solaris Power 52 Open

Solaris continue to upgrade its Power line, with the presentation of this new 52 Open.  Designed as all the Power line by Brunello Acampora, the 52 Open will sit in between the 48 Open and current 60 Open flagship.  As the other Open models the 52 is full fore to stem usable walk around deck space, which expands its size aft thanks to two fold down bulkheads.  Solaris Open also offers three deck design choices, which go from the standard opposite looking bench style settee dinette layout, to a an aft looking C-shaped settee, and or forward looking C-shaped settee.  In all three layouts the central console does not change position, though in one of the layouts the three pilot and co-pilot settees are in one row.  The Solaris Power 52 Open also offers versatility below with two cabin A and B versions available; A being a two cabin layout with an owners midships suite, and B being a three cabins which move the master cabin forward.  The Solaris Power 52 Open is to be powered by twin Volvo 480hp as standard, and or optional 600hp with IPS pod propulsion.  Estimated speeds are thirty knots with the standard engine and give an extra five knots with the optional larger block.

New Model: Solaris Power 40 Open

Solaris Power has seen an interesting evolution, starting up with the traditional yacht down-east inspired 55/57 Lobster in 2019, the 48 Open presented a year later was the model which changed the trend, and after that the Italian company has been pushing on its traditional inspired center console sport cruisers and yachts.  After the 48 Open in early 2020, came the 44 in 2021, and now in 2022 we have the new entry level 40 Open model. Like the 44 and 48 before her, the 40 Open is primary about exterior spaces, usable thanks to the safe and deep walkaround from fore to aft.  It is an interesting machine where the entertainment spaces outside seem never ending in a size of just over eleven meters.  But the Solaris 40 Open does not stop here, and below also offer a sleeping accommodation for two thanks to a nice island berth, with a spacious shower head to starboard.  At midships in standard format is an utility room, which can be ordered as a cabin with two twin berths.  The Solaris Power is stern drive powered from twin petrol gas 280hp up to diesels of 440hp.

Project: Solaris Power 40 Open

Solaris Power present the project for the 40 Open, a new entry level in its power boat range, which now spans from eleven up to eighteen meters in length.  Designed by Brunello Acampora of Victory design, and the Solaris project team, the 40 follows the theme of the larger 44 and 48 Open models, for being a center console sport cruiser with usable deck space from fore to aft.  A central T-Top covers the central console here featuring a triple seat arrangement, this is followed by galley wet-bar, a dinette, and an aft sun-pad.  The Solaris 40 Open offers an interior sleeping four with a double island berth forward, and a separate twin berth cabin at midships.  The midships cabin can be replaced for an empty room, in what the yard calls the B version.  The Solaris 40 Open is standard powered by twin petrol gas engines of 280hp, with three optional diesel units of 300hp up 440hp.  Propulsion is always for Volvo stern drive units. Project: Solaris Power Lobster 48 Fly

During the Dusseldorf 2020 boat show Solaris will present its third new model in less to year by launching the Lobster 48 Fly.  The Solaris Power Lobster 48 Fly will be the second version of the 48 presented, following the World wide presentation of the Open 48 launched in September 2019 during the Cannes boat show.  The Lobster 48 Fly presents itself as the more cruiser cabin version of the 48 series, and apart offering a lower cabin area sleeping five in three cabins, or four in two cabins offers the addition of a flybridge up top.  The flybridge is accessed through a stair case from starboard, and offers a typlical Italian style layout, with a sunpad aft, and helm station to port side.  The Lobster 48 Fly apart a sweet down East lobster line, features other nice features as a very sociable aft deck, and safe walk around deck movement.  The Solaris Lobster 48 Fly is to be powered by twin Volvo 435hp or optional 480hp engines with forward looking IPS pod propulsion.

Project: Solaris Power Lobster 78

Solaris entered the power segment in 2019 with a bang, presenting two models and an interesting plan ahead of a five model line up from fourteen up to 26 meters.  After the launch of the 55, and 48 Open models respectively, Solaris now is presenting details for its second large project, the Lobster 78.  The Solaris Power Lobster 78 is as the name says inspired to the Down East boat, but beside the sweeping sheer line, and flared bow, this is a flybridge motor yacht in essence and substance.  Offering a four cabin lower deck interior the Lobster 78 will feature an interesting living area with an opening balcony to port side.  A galley will be located in the central area of the main deck, with opposite the eight person dinette.  The Lobster 78 by the first layout designs will also feature an option for an internal stair case from the saloon to the flybridge.  Norberto Ferretti was always keen on this feature so often forgotten today, and in the past he actually offered this in nearly all his flybridge models even those sub fifteen meters.  The Solaris Power Lobster 78 in the renderings looks to be powered by a triple engine set up with what looks Volvo's IPS pod propulsion.

New Model: Solaris Power Open 48

Solaris continue its entry into the Power sector with the launch of its second model, the Open 48, presented in less to a year.  The Open 48 is the wild card in the range, as while the other models and projects are all inspired to a Traditional down East lobster boat, this entry level Solaris Power is a sport cruiser slash many other things.  The Open 48 can be whatever an owner wants; a day-boat, chase-boat, runabout, tender, this is a multi purpose sport cruiser.  Technically speaking the Open 48 can be used for all the above, but the whole usage for the main deck from bow to stern sets its primary function for outside entertainment.  But do not be mistaken as the Solaris Power Open 48 has still interesting lower deck accommodation offering a two cabins two bathrooms sleeping four plan, with a crew cabin.  An alternative plan B exists where the second cabin is replaced by an L-shaped dinette.  In both layouts there is no lower deck galley, with this being located in the middle of the outside area in behind the helm station and under the T-top.  The Solaris Power Open 48 is powered by twin Volvo 435hp or optional 480hp with IPS pod drives.
