Thirty Meter Super Yacht Sinks Near Poltu Quatu, Sardinia

Fourteen persons were saved as the thirty meter super yacht Angiola II started to list to its starboard side and sink near Porto Ferro and Capuccini Island in the Poltu Quatu locality of the Emeerald Coast in Sardinia on the evening of Tuesday eleventh August.  The Italian Guardia Costiera and Port Captaincy of La Maddalena responded to the emergency as the fourteen persons onboard were saved by nearby boaters.  The cause of the sinking are reported to have developed following an onboard fire which was controlled.  Salvage operations are underway as the yacht listed completely to its starboard and sank even more.
The yacht in this accident is a 2020 Amer F100 as designed by Verme and produced since 2019 to date in six units.  The F100 was a replacement to the Amer Cento.
