Ten persons of Austrian origin were saved as a twelve meter flybridge cruiser named Dawa II sank near Porto Vecchio of Trieste to the North East of Italy on the late morning of Saturday 29 August. The Guardia Costiera and Vigili del Fuoco of Trieste responded to the sinking saving the boaters, with the boat ultimately sinking. The ten boaters all unharmed were taken to the Port Captaincy of Trieste. The cause of the sinking was not reported.
The boat in this accident is a Sessa F42 as designed by Christian Grande and produced since 2012. The F42 was a replacement to the Sessa F40 Flybridge.
