Family Saved as Sport Cruiser Ends Aground at San Teodoro, Sardinia

An eleven meter sport cruiser with a family of four persons ended aground near San Teodoro and the Marina of Puna Aldia to the East of Sardinia on the late afternoon of Monday third August.  The Vigili del Fuoco Fire Fighters coordinated by the Guardia Costiera of Olbia Coast Guard tended to the accident rescuing the family first with a Jet-Bike and a rescue boat. Following this an operation was made to save the boat, with this then towed to the yacht of the Marina Punta Aldia.  The boat is reported to have ended aground after it dragged anchor.
The boat in this is accident is a second generation Rio 38 Parana as designed by Maino Alfani and produced from 2020 to 2024.  The second generation 38 Parana was a replacement to the first generation 38 Parana, and was replaced by the Rio 40 Parana.
