Three Yachts Wrecked in Maxi Dolphin Facility Fire in Brescia

Three yachts of fifteen, 21 and 24 meters were wrecked in a fire at the Maxi Dolphin yacht yard in via Gandhi in Ebrusco, Brescia, with the blaze starting at around 22:00 of Monday 24 August.  Fifty fire fighters with thirteen fire engines fought the fire till 05:00 morning time.  No injuries are reported with the cause of the blaze being under investigation.  The blaze wrecked a nearly completed MD80 sailing yacht which was set to launch in September, an MD71, and an MD51 Power. 
Maxi Dolphin was founded in 1987 by Vittorio Moretti specializing in custom build fast sail yachts, as he built the Bruce Farr designed MD73 for himself.  In 2007 Maxi Dolphin debuted in motor yachting as it presented the classic looking MD51 Power open yacht.
