Five Saved as Flybridge Cruiser Ends Aground Near Tarquinia, Italy

Five boaters were saved a ten meter flybridge cruiser ended aground on a reef near Sant'Agostino of Tarquinia, to the North of Civitavecchia, Italy at 20:40 of Saturday 29 August.  The boaters were assisted by the Guardia Costiera Civitavecchia coast guard, after a call from 1530 blu number.  The coast guard in this operation also used U-safe, a radio commanded life saving buoy devise which helped retrieve the boaters.  The boaters reported having no injuries, with the boat also reported to have not damaged the hull.  

The boat in this accident is a Della Pasqua DC 10 Fly as produced in the eighties.  The DC 10 Fly was replaced by the second generation Della Pasqua DC 10.
