Classic Cruiser Ends Aground Near Ancona

A classic Italian eleven meter sport cruiser with four persons onboard ended aground at the Trave reef, to the South East of Ancona, Italy on the evening of fourteen August.  The sport cruiser called for help on the 112 Guardia Costiera emergency number, and was rapidly assisted by the CP310 boat, which was followed by two other Vigili dell Fuoco fire fighting boats.  The Guardia Costiera rescued the four persons, and then removed the sport cruiser from the reef, as they guaranteed it's buoyancy with floating balloons and towed it at a boat yard to the nearby Marina Dorica, located to the West of Ancona's harbour.  The cause of the accident is not reported.
The sport cruiser in this accident is a Raffaelli Typhoon Middle Day 12mt as designed by its builder Renato Raffaelli and produced from 1985 to 1991.  The Raffaelli Typhoon Middle Day was a larger replacement to the Regal 35 Day and was replaced by the aft cabin Middle Day.
