Carver Boat Goes Ablaze in Schooner Island Marina New Jersey

An un-attended twelve meter Carver flybridge cruiser titled m/y Luv-It went ablaze in Schooner Island Marina, Wildwood, New Jersey on 12:39 of Thursday 22 August.  Luv-It was docked by the fuel dock when it went ablaze, un-attended, with Wildwood Fire Department responding to the fire and then receiving help from North Wildwood and Stone Harbor from the sea with Fire-Boats.  The fire also damaged the fuel dock and its small shed, and was controlled at 13:15, and fully extinguished after 16:00 hours.  Four employees from Schooner Island Marina had to be treated for smoke inhalation but they declined to be taken to a hospital.  Luv-It eventually sank in the fire and was a wreck.  Some unconfirmed reports said she was being refuelled when the fire started.
Luv-It is a 2002 Carver 420 Mariner as produced from 2002 to 2006.   The 420 Mariner was one of Carver's designs with creative thinking into adding space featuring a semi-wide body main deck.  The Carver Mariner range debuted in 1976 with the 2876, and ended with the 36 in 2010 and seven different models from 28 to 42 feet.

Project: Van Der Valk 35m Jangada

The 35-metre project Jangada is the third custom build at Van der Valk for the same client, who debuted with the Dutch family yard in 2013.  A custom operation Van der Valk has the flexibility, capacity and willingness to fully meet evolving requirements and lifestyle changes. Designed by Nick Top and Guido de Groot, this new Van der Valk hull number WV0147 is architected around offering more space and comfort than her predecessors, with an accommodation for five guest cabins including of which is an owners stateroom forward of the main deck.  Crew accommodation is for six, including of which is  captains cabin which is nearly the same as one of the gests room.  A crew lobby with dinette and galley is also located at the entrance of the crew quarters on the forward part of the lower deck.  High customization levels include facilitating the owner’s wish to take his morning swim in a jet-stream pool on the flybridge deck, which required installing a warm-water tank below the tender garage, a testimony to engineering excellence as well as design and layout vision.  Jangada is to be powered by by twin Man 900hp, for a top speed of fourteen knots and a cruise of thirteen.

Ferry Ship Collides with Moored Boats in Sorrento

The ferry ship m/v Isola di Capri of the company Caremar, collided with a couple of sport cruisers at Marina Piccola in Sorrento, on the late afternoon of 22 August.  The ferry ship is reported to have had problems with its throttle response while doing a manoeuvring operation in Sorrento, and ended colliding with an eight meter Colombo sport cruiser first, which took the worst of the collision, and a twelve meter sport cruiser later.  In a video posted on Facebook the Colombo sport cruiser looked like it was ran over and sank, but somehow it remained afloat. In the video is also seen a Riva sport yacht which just manages to escape the accident as it was risking being hit on its starboard side by the ferry ship which looked out of control.  No one seems to be injured in this accident, with the Guardia Costiera of Sorrento opening an enquiry on the collision.
The Colombo in this collision is an eighties produced 29 Racing, with the sport cruiser next to it looking to be a Mochi 33 Open also from the same period, with the escaping Riva being a 52 Rivale.

Sport Cruiser Saved from Sinking Near Ischia Island

An eleven meter sport cruiser with nine boaters aboard was in risk of sinking after ending powerless, and to the mercy of the rough sea state of the moment near Baia di Citara a Forano, to the West of Ischia Island on the early afternoon of Thursday 22 August.  According to a reconstruction of events the sport cruiser ended powerless and without control after both its engine stalled and was heading into the reefs of the area.  At this stage the skipper called a MayDay via VHF, and was immediately assisted by the Guardia Costiera of Ischia, who sent a Search and Rescue Vessel and towed the cruiser for two nautical miles to the nearby harbour at marina of Forio.  
The sport cruiser in this accident is a Tornado 38 as produced from 1985 and still produced today, to date in something like five hundred units.  Inspired not little by the Magnum 35 and 38, the Tornado 38 had half a dozen versions in its never ending production, and is a classic favorite in Central and South Italy.

Hurricane Ernesto 2024

Hurricane Ernesto was a moderately strong Atlantic hurricane that caused significant flooding in Puerto Rico before striking Bermuda as a hurricane. The fifth named storm and third hurricane of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season, Ernesto developed from a tropical wave east of the Leeward Islands. The storm moved towards the Antilles, impacting several nations. Ernesto then turned north, where it reached Category 2 strength, before making landfall in Bermuda as a Category 1 hurricane on August 17. Ernesto then weakened back to a tropical storm before intensifying back into a hurricane and brushing Atlantic Canada, becoming extratropical by August 20 and dissipating by August 22.  Hurricane Ernesto caused 24 million US dollars in damage and caused three indirect fatalities.
As boating goes Hurricane Ernesto has caused damage to Great Harbour Bay in the British Virgin Islands to some boats as pictured.  The three boats damage in this bay were a Bertram 33 Sport Fisherman which was a TowBoatUS boat, Bertram 38 Mk.III, and an eighties first generation Ocean Yachts 50 Super Sport.

New Launch: Winter Custom Yachts 46 Walk Around W-37

Tim Winters has launched hull number W-37, a 46 Walk Around express sportfish, his ninth walk-around unit, with this series debuting with the 33 foot W-15 hull in 2018.  W-37 is a near sister-boat to W-25 and W-27 including of which size, which make W-37 share second size spot in Winter's Walk Around range.  Powered by twin Man 850hp with line shaft propulsion Winter Custom Yachts is able to reach a top speed of 39 knots and cruise up to 35 knots, with a range up 350 nautical miles.  Winter Yachts W-37 also surprises for its accommodation offering a cabin with galley and saloon opposite, double berth forward, and a guest cabin with twin bunk berths.

Sport Cruiser Wrecked by Fire in Argostoli, Greece

A sport cruiser of twelve meters in length was wrecked by fire as it was moored at the port of Argostoli, Kefalonia, Greece on the evening of Tuesday twenty August, 2024.  Firefighters rushed to the scene with four fire fighting vehicles and ten fire fighters to fight the blaze.  Nearby boats and yachts were moved as precaution, as the fire was controlled and then extinguished in a relatively short time, although the sport cruiser still ended wrecked and destroyed by the fire.  Due to the fire the coastal road in Argostoli was closed, causing traffic chaos, while the smoke and strong smell reached the central square of Argostoli.  No one was injured with the boat reported not to be attended before and during the blaze, with the cause of the fire not being reported.
The sport cruiser in this fire is a Cruisers 4270 Express as produced from 1997 to 2003.  The 4270 Express was a replacement to the raised bridge 4285 Express, and was replaced by the Cruisers 440 Express.

Project: Maritimo M50

At the 2024 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, Maritimo announced the project for a new M50 Flybridge. This latest Maritimo M50 comes as replacement to the M51, a new entry level model to a range of eleven models, three range which today spans up to 23 meters.  The M50 continues the down under yacht builder refined, elegant, practical, and luxurious use of space, combined with high-efficiency propulsion and reduced drag hull forms, along with the build quality and blue-water credentials the down-under yacht is known for.  The Maritimo M50 Flybridge is also class defining, offering the largest completely enclosed flybridge in its size that will span the entire beam of the yacht. Standard accommodation will offer two large cabins including of which is a full beam midships master stateroom with ensuite shower head, and a VIP suite forward.  In the M50 everything is planned to be easy from single level floors inside the cabins, with total walkaround access for both cabins.  Capacity to sleep up to eight on the M50 is possible if required and optioned accordingly. As any Maritimo safety is paramount with the famous walkaround decks, high sides, and encased, rear facing internal stairs for flybridge access, delivering safe walking both in the marina and at sea. The M50 features Maritimo famous walk-through zone living, with the rear galley a center piece for seamless entertaining from the main Saloon to the upper cockpit, and then all the way to the edge of the expansive swim platform that is virtually at sea level. The M50 larger windows come redesigned with smaller frames and bigger openings, to deliver full engagement to the surroundings, while patented Maritimo hull liners deliver inherent strength in form, and also allow access to the entire beam below decks. In the engine room this means you can access both sides of the twin, straight-six Diesels. The Maritimo M50 is to be standard powered by twin Volvo 800hp engines on line shaft propulsion. The development of the new Maritimo M50 began in late 2023, with the designs and specifications shared with loyal owners for their input to then further refine the final product offering.

Sunseeker Sport Cruiser Fire in Delimara Malta

An unattended thirteen meter Sunseeker sport cruiser titled m/y Jean Marie under Malta flag had an onboard fire when berthed at Delimara, to the South East of the island of Malta, at 11:34 morning time of Tuesday twentieth August.  Civil Protection Malta responded to the fire, with the fire fighting boat m/v Manucca and Fire Stations 10, 1, and 5.  The fire was reported extinguished with the use of 50,000 liters of fresh water and 3000 liters of fluoro-protein foam.  The cause of the fire has not been reported.
The Sunseeker sport cruiser in this fire is a 44 Camargue as produced from 1998 to 2002 to a design of Don Shead and John Braithwaithe.  The 44 Camargue came out as a replacement to the 47 Camargue, and was replaced by the 46 Portofino.

Boat Collides Into Channel Marker in Richardson Bay

A traditional looking Sabre cruiser of fourteen meters in length titled m/y Wasabi collided with a channel marker referred to as a dolphin piling near Sausalito at the entrance of Richardson Bay, California for a story which was publicized by Latitude 38 on 25 October but apparently happened on the night of the nineteen August, as a Notice of the channel marker damage and not working was posted on the twenty August.  The traditional cruiser apparently crashed into navigational light #2 a dolphin marker which marks the entry into Richardson Bay.  Those onboard avoided major injuries, with the Sabre cruiser knocking over the pilings and launching the birdcage with markers and light onto the foredeck, and sustaining important bow damage from the collision, but still managing to make it to the marina on its own power.  
The traditional cruiser in this Sausalito collision is a 2015 Sabre 48 Salon Express.  Announced first as the 46, Sabre debuted the 48 Saloon Express in 2011, with a Fly Bridge version coming in 2016.

New Model: MJM Yachts 42

Yacht Beached in Cayo Costa in Aftermath of Hurricane Debby

A twenty meter motor yacht titled m/y Front Page ended beached in Cayo Costa on Saturday eighteen August, following the aftermath of Hurricane Debbie.  According to some social media posts the yacht was deliberately beached in Cayo Costa Beach, Florida in order to save her from sinking, as it had sustained hull damage during the storm.  The yacht also lost its anchor, chain and windless during the storm.  Front Page is reported to be a liveaboard for two persons, although the yacht was reported abandoned in the South Gulf Cove canals the past March, and also heavily damaged by the Category 5 Hurricane Ian on its onslaught to Fort Myers in end September 2022.  Operations to re-float the yacht are apparently in progress.  Hurricane Debby was a Category 1 Hurricane which formed on August three and dissipated on the fourteen, which killed ten people, and caused estimated damaged of two billion US dollars. 
M/y Front Page is a 1985 Ocean Alexander 63 Motor Yacht Fisherman as produced in the eighties.

Project: Steeler Explorer 16M

Steeler present the project for an Explorer 16M model.  An explorer yacht which redefines luxury with its three-deck configuration and virtually full-beam living area and folding balconies. Sport Cruiser Ends Aground in Port Camargue

A nine meter sport cruiser with six persons ended aground at the entrance of Port Camargue, in the Montpellier region to the West side of South France, on the night of Saturday seventeen August.  The sport cruiser was assisted by the fire fighting emergency services who came to the scene to help the six boaters.  Five of the six boaters had light injuries from the impact of the sport cruiser, who is reported to have crashed into the marina break-water at planning speed.
The sport cruiser in this collision is a Four Winns 288 Vista as produced from 2004 to 2009. The 288 Vista came out as a replacement to the 298 Vista, with the model replaced by the V285.

Canados Yacht Saved from Sinking Near Panarea

A 21 meter Canados motor yacht was saved from sinking as it was near Panarea Island on the late afternoon early evening of Saturday seventeen August.  The Canados yacht was transporting eleven passengers when it started to take on water.  A nearby commercial vessel intervened, saving the passengers from the yacht first, as the Guardia Costiera CP 322 came on the scene, bringing also a mechanic onboard the Canados yacht.  Ultimately the yacht was partly beached for safely in Spiagga San Pietro.  Some unconfirmed reports said the yacht had a water intrusion from a seacock failure.
The yacht in this near sinking is a Canados 70S as produced from 1988 to 93 to a design of Spadolini.  The 70S was the second model in Canados fiberglass era which started with the 58 in 1987.  The Canados 70S was a replacement to the wood build 70, and was replaced by the 23 in 1995.

Benetti Super Yacht Collides Into Pontoon at St. Tropez

A one month old delivered 34 meter Benetti super yacht titled m/y Opus was filmed as it collided into a pontoon in a busy St. Tropez marina.  The exact date of the accident is not reported but the first sharing of the video was made on eighteen August on Yachts.Worldwide Instagram channel who re-shared a video filmed by other Instagram user James__Gaskin.  The yacht most probably had a throttle malfunction, and was filmed hitting the pontoon, with a later still photo showing the damage to the steel bow protection skeg.  No one was reported injured in the collision.
M/y Opus is the sixth unit of the Benetti Oasis 34M as designed by Redwood Whiteley Dixon for exterior, with Bonetti and Kozerski taking care of the interiors.  The Oasis 34M has been produced since 2022, coming out as a replacement to the Mediterraneo 116.

Neptunus New Web Site

Neptunus presents its new World wide web showroom.  Neptunus was founded in 1972, in Aalst, the Netherlands, a brand of the company Neptune Marine with its first model being the 107 model, a 37 foot double keel aft cabin cruiser which sold over three hundred units in a ten year plus production run.  In 1989 Neptunus moved part of its production to Canada at first starting a collaboration with a third party and ultimately by 1991 in its own facility at St. Catherine, Ontario, Canada, less to hour distance from the Buffalo airport.  Eventually by 1999 the production of all Neptunus yachts is moved to Canada, with Neptune Marine selling any interest in Neptunus by 2001.  Currently Neptunus has a 6600 square meter facility in St. Catherine, where it builds four models from 65 to 75 feet, with its latest model being the just 2024 launched 750SL model . Classic Italcraft Yacht Burns Down Near Ostia Italy

A 21 meter Italian flagged motor yacht with eleven persons onboard of which six small children went ablaze as it was cruising four miles offshore to the beach of Capocotta, Ostia, Italy at 13:30 of Saturday seventeen August.  The Italian Guardia di Finanza which was closer to the yacht, gave the first assistance, with the Guardia Costiera CP836 following.  Following a medical check, the yacht passengers all turned out unharmed, and where later discharged at the Ostia yacht marina.  The yacht was reported departing Riva di Traino marina, and was mostly destroyed by fire although reports indicated it did not sink.
The yacht in this fire is an Italcraft C70, as produced from 1991 up to 96 in a couple of units.  The C70 is a tamed up to thirty knots version of Italcraft record breaking M78, which was the fastest large yacht when launched in 1985 clocking 58 knots.  This same hull was subsequently used for the hard-top Drago 70 model which launched in 2000.   

Cranchi Boat Destroyed by Fire in Ghadira Bay Malta

A ten meter Cranchi sport cruiser was destroyed by a fire in Ghadira Bay, Mellieha, Malta, with the blaze starting at about 22:30 of Friday sixteen August.  Fire fighters from the Civil Protection and Red Cross rescue workers intervened to control the fire, with the boat ending a wreck and sinking.  It is not understood if the Cranchi sport cruiser was un-attended or not at the time of the fire, or the boaters abandoned it when the blaze started as local media are giving conflicting reports of the event.  The cause of the fire is not reported, with the boat salvaged on Monday nineteen August by local company Polaris Marine Service co. Ltd. 
The Cranchi boat in this fire is a 33 Endurance as produced from 2002 up to 2005 to a design by Aldo Cranchi.  The 33 Endurance came out as a replacement to the 31 Aquamarina and was replaced by a new second generation 33 Endurance in 2008.

Hingham Sea Ray Cruiser and Sailboat Collision Injures Two Persons

A collision between an eleven meter Sea Ray sport cruiser and a six meter sailboat in Hingham Bay, off the coast of Grape Island in Weymouth, Massachusetts on 12:30 of Friday sixteen August left two persons injured.  The two injured persons where on the small sailboat, which partly sank as it crashed with the Sea Ray sport cruiser titled m/y Medona.  Both boaters on the sailboat, a man and a woman were taken to South Shore Hospital suffering from propeller strikes on there body, with the woman injuries being very serious.  The US Coast Guard responded to the collision with SeaTow coming later to the scene, and working to refloat the small sail boat. An investigation on the collision is ongoing.
The Sea Ray in this collision is a 380 Sundancer model as produced from 1999 to 2003.  The Sea Ray 380 Sundancer came out as a replacement to the 370 Sundancer and was replaced by the 390 Sundancer.

New Model: Ferretti InFynito 80

 

The first Ferretti InFynito 80 was launched in July at Ferretti Group’s new Ravenna production site. Acquired in March 2023, the shipyard will be fully operational from 2025 and is now home to five production lines for the Ferretti Yachts and Wally brands, with a daily workforce that already totals 200. InFynito 80 follows the InFynito 90 and has the signature characteristics of the range; environmental friendliness, unprecedented flexibility and innovative layouts including the iconic All-Season Terrace, a much-loved architectural feature and the winner of some prestigious awards. Other strengths include the yacht’s versatility, with a sundeck that can be open or semi-open, and the sheer size, above-average for the segment of the outdoor surface areas covered and protected by the hard top or superstructure. With a length overall of over 23 Ferretti Yachts InFynito 80 is the result of collaboration between the Product Strategy Committee led by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, with exterior design by architect Filippo Salvetti and interiors by Ideaitalia. InFynito 80 also features the range’s F.S.E.A. technology; Ferretti Sustainable Enhanced Architecture package of sustainability-driven, environment-friendly solutions. Project: Antonini Navi Evo-31 Exp

Antonini Navi the superyacht builder founded in 2020 by Gruppo Antonini Spa in partnership with Aldo Manna presents the project for Evo-31 Exp a 32-metre full custom Super Explorer Yacht. The contract of the Evo-31 Exp was signed in October with the keel laid in Januay 2024. This full custom 32 meter super yacht is another important milestone in La Spezia-based Antonini Navi’s remarkable story of growth, as well as a concrete and tangible demonstration of the great flexibility and expertise that attracted the seasoned owner in the first place. In October 2020, at the Genoa International Boat Show, Antonini Navi announced its launch to the world and presented a brand with a sharp focus on the construction of full-custom yachts. Ferragosto Storm in Tuscany Coast, Worst Damage in Baratti

A summer storm of strong short intensity hit the Tuscany Coast with the worst of the damage coming in the Gulf of Baratti, Piombino, Italy on the early afternoon of the festive Ferragosto day, of Thursday fifteen August. With this sudden storm some half a dozen boats anchored or swing moored in the Gulf of Baratti ended beached, creating a bit havoc to the beach and to the surrounding areas.  This Summer storm which hit all the Tuscany coast from Pisa down to Piombino lasted for about an hour, with with speeds at thirty knots, and gusting up to forty knots.  Some other sail boats are also reported beached and partly sank in the area, while a nine meter classic Azimut sport cruiser with five persons onboard had to be rescued after it lost power near Cecina, with the Guardia Costiera rescuing three of the five persons and then helping in the towing to a safe harbor.
In Baratti the grounded motor boats are a mid to end nineties produced Gobbi 23 Sport as pictured above, and a classic Cantieri di Pisa Polaris of 13,20 meters as produced from 1961 to 1963 and pictured below.
Below is a classic eighties Azimut 28 which is assisted by the Guardia Costiera after it lost power near Cecina to the South of Livorno.

Canados Super Yacht Sinks in Sentosa Corsica

A 26 meter Canados super yacht titled m/y Manta under Italian flag with eleven persons onboard, sank near Cap du Sentosa, to the South West of Corsica at about 06:30 of Thursday fifteen August.  Manta was cruising its August family vacation in Corsica with its owners, the Magli family, with the owner Monica Magli, husband and captain being awake when a collision with an invisible reef breached the hull allowing a water ingress.  With the noise from the collision to the reef, the rest of the guests who where asleep or still in there cabins awoke, and left the yacht, some of them still in there pajamas on its liferaft.  Hearing the Mayday, a sailing yacht came for assistance first, with no success due to the reefs surrounding the area, which was followed by a catamaran who managed to collect the eleven passengers.  A voluntary organization Le Sauveteurs En Mer came following to the scene with a crew of seventeen, which included three divers and a nurse and apart helping the yacht passengers also assisted them with a medical check, with only one man, Monica's husband Alberto needing assistance as he broke a foot finger.  A recovery operation is being planned for the yacht with sinking area being banned for any swimming activities.
M/y Manta is a Canados 86 as produced from 2003 to 2017 in 46 units to a design of Marine Technology Services.  The 86 is one of Canados best sellers, appreciated for its sea qualities in rough seas, good speed, and accommodation.  The Canados 86 came out as a replacement to the 25, and was replaced by the 88 in 2018.  Canados also build smaller off shots of the 86, like the 82S which was the first hull of the series, and the 80 model.
The Magli family founded Bruno Magli, an Italian luxury house that specializes in shoes and leather goods for men and women from Bologna Italy, started in 1936, and opened its first factory in 1941, with the company being part sold to Bulgari fund management Opera in 2001, and since 2015 owned by the Marquee Brands.

New Model: Fjord 39 XL

 
Fjord debuts the 39 XL, a new entry level in its six model walk-around day cruiser line and a replacement to the 38 after four years in production.  Fair to say Fjord is the evolutionist of the modern European walk-around day cruiser which since the 40 Open appeared in 2008 has made good fortunes for the German owned Scandinavian name.  The new Fjord 39 XL is a bit wider and longer to its predecessor, with this extra dimensions giving space benefits in all areas; aft deck, helm station, and a more spacious lower cabin deck.  For example in the aft deck the 39 XL now offers a fixed sun-pad followed by opposite settees looking dinette which can sit up to eight persons.  The extra beam of the 39 XL also give an option for a three settee helm station from the standard two seats, with the hard top now also being longer and wider extending nearly up to the ship side rather then in the structure of the windshield.   Down below the Fjord 39 XL offers an open layout with double berth forward, furniture unit offering fridge and freezer plus storage spaces to port side on entry, and shower head to starboard which now also features an enclosed shower-stall.  The Fjord 39 XL is standard powered by twin Volvo 320hp with stern drives propulsion, with engine upgrades going up to 440hp and 45 knots speeds, with an option for IPS also being possible from the larger engines.  The same model is also offered in the 39 XP outboard version powered by twin Mercury 400hp petrol gas engines.

Princess Yacht Saved from Sinking Near Marinella Olbia

A 21 meter Princess sport yacht was saved from sinking as it hit some reefs during navigation near Cala Sabina and the beach of Marinella, to the North of Olbia on the morning of fourteen August.  Italian Military and Guardia Costiera personnel rushed to the scene of the accident, saving the passengers first, and then investigating that no pollution from the yacht is coming out.  The Princess Yacht was reported to breaching its hull at the back, and was kept from sinking with big floating bags, with a towing to a yard for investigation and subsequent repairs being organized.  No injuries to the boaters was reported from the collision. 
The Princess yacht in this near sinking is a V70 as produced from 2004 to 2010 to a design of Bernard Olesinski.  When released the V70, was the largest Princess V series yet produced, with the model replaced by the V72 in 2011.

Formentera August Storm Grounds Boats in La Savina

A DANA which is not a storm name but a Spanish acronym for isolated depression at high altitude, hit the Balearic islands, with its stronger epicenter forming on Formentera, South to Ibiza at 10:20 hours on the morning of Wednesday fourteen August.  The storm which was stronger then forecasted had an average wind speed of fifty knots, with gusts touching one hundred knots of wind.  La Savina which was the most interested area boating wise, tossed and grounded a dozen boats around, with some boaters needing an emergency rescue to escape from the wreckage.
The most high profile grounding in this storm was the 2007 build Wally 100 s/y Wally Love which was also heavily listed to its starboard.  Of the motor boats aground videos showed a nineties build Sealine 310 Ambassador, and a late eighties Sunseeker 43 Thunderhawk.  While other videos showed an Azimut 43S, Benetti 35M Classic, Cranchi 41 Endurance , and a Zaniboni 38 Escalibur escaping from the storm.

Boat Yard Fire in Civitanova Marche Burns Classic Trojan Cruiser

A boat yard fire on the afternoon of Tuesday thirteen August at Piermanni waterfront in Civitanova Marche, Macerata burned a ten meter Trojan sport cruiser.  The fire is reported to have started at 17:20 hours, with the Trojan cruiser heavily damaged by the blaze which also damaged the boat yard tools deposit.  Fire fighting squads from Civitanova, Fermo, and Macerate tended to the fire turning it off at about 20:00 hours.  According to some reports the fire might have started from an arson, with the investigation now inspecting CCTV cameras in the area.   A fire also interested a boat yard in the same area, and a similar but a bit larger Trojan cruiser on 25 February of this year.
The boat in this fire is a Trojan 10M Express as produced from 1981 to 1989.  The 10M had two other variants the Mid Cabin, and the flybridge Sedan version, with Trojan reportedly selling hundreds of these.  The 10M started a new Euro designed inspired era for Trojan with the model replaced by the 10.8 Meter Express and Sedan models, which used the same Delta-Conic hull shape but extended in length.

Sealine Boat Destroyed by Fire in Cala Figuera Pollensa

A ten meter Sealine sport cruiser with four persons onboard, went ablaze at Cala Figuera in Polensa on 13:40 of Tuesday thirteenth August.  Nearby boats attended to the rescue of the four boaters, as Salvacion Maritimo came to the scene to fight the fire.  Unfortunately the boat was destroyed by fire and then sank.  Following the destruction and sinking Salvacion Maritimo remained in the place to clean the area from the debris of the fire.  The cause of the fire is not reported.
The Sealine boat in this fire is an S330, as designed by Bill Dixon.  The S330 series was the first totally new model to come from the Hanse ownership of Sealine, who bought the British brand in 2013, and subsequently moved production from Kidderminster UK to Germany.  The S330 was produced till 2022, with the model tweaked and evolved into the S335 in 2023. 

Classic Flybridge Boat Sinks in Fredericia Denmark

A classic nine meter flybridge cruising boat partially sank in a marina at Fredericia, Jutland, to the East of Denmark on the morning of thirteenth August.  The flybridge boat was reported unattended as it started to take on water and then partially sinking.  As the boat stayed partially sunk, the Fire Department was called to the scene, and protected the flybridge boat with an oil protection boon for eventual pollution it might cause from the sinking.  Marina personnel advised the ownership that he has to re-float the boat and remove it from the area.  The flybridge was reported to be a visiting boat, with the cause of the sinking being under investigation.
