The project for this new Absolute 52, from the young Tuscany boat builder founded in 2002, which continues to present fresh innovative models. This new Sport Yacht is testimony of the progress for the young constructor in a little time period. The visiting ticket for this model is impressive and are the following: three spacious cabins, mid ship master stateroom, saloon galley up solution, patio door separating inside / outside, and the speed and economy of the new Inboard Power System (IPS) by Volvo. This should be one of the most successful models in the fifteen metre range in the months to come.

The other new Absolute is the 47 communicating style and privacy. New Model: Feadship 44.65m Hull. 796

Feadship has launched hull. 796, a 44.65 meter super yacht what is the first in the F45 Vantage semi-custom series.  Built by Royal Van Lent, the 44.65m hull. 796 has been named m/y Space, what is a new concept designed for owners who require a more compact size of super yacht without having to pay the significantly higher costs associated with a fully customised project. A three-year research and design project preceded the launching and construction of the yacht and is the aim of the prestigious Dutch Feadship to compete in the semi custom medium size super yacht range, with a more competitive price as opposed to a custom built Feadship in the 35 to 45 meter price bracket. A wealth of options and styles is available for owners to shape the interior to their individual taste and four design themes created by Sinot Design Associates.

32nd America's Cup Preview

After a four year wait the final match of the oldest trophy in the world has arrived. Can Alinghi Defender of the Cup, match the superb skills shown by the Kiwi's in the Louis Vuitton, it is only a few hours and we can have a reply to this question and finally see the real match.

The other match of politics and drama which as old as the Cup itself, have taken place on the shore of Valencia in the days before the match. Among the duels off the race course surrounding the cup was the much mentioned about future nationality rules the real Kiwis of Team New Zealand seem to want to introduce if they win the Cup, something Alinghi boss and the other Kiwis of the Swiss Team seem to not to have liked. Other friction was about the boat change and what is considered a damage to consent this. Third and most important was the Measurement Committee acceptance and then neglecting to Alinghi regarding the backstays and topmast backstays which now seems was decided have to stay permanently attached to their fixing point. 

Finally now the real racing is close and the boats from the teams have been announced, with both team's choosing there latest construction NZL92 for Team New Zealand the boat used in the successful run of the Louis Vuitton Cup by the Kiwi's and SUI100 the last constructed America's Cup Class series battle machine of the defender. 

The other endless novel which finally finished as the rumours where suggesting for a long time was the helmsman choice for the Swiss defender, which will be American Ed Baird, who will have the difficult task of replacing three time America's Cup winner Russel Coutts. Now it's all for the real competition on the water to decide the champion for the Sport's oldest trophy.

The Fairline 78 Squadron is an update and replacement for the flagship of the British builder the 74 Squadron. Most visible changes for this improved model is the integral hydraulic extended bathing platform with up down movement in order to lift your tender or toy off the water easily. The other novelty builds upon the success of the 62 Targa and is the new 64 Targa Gran Turismo which is a natural evolution of it's predecessor, and will be the flagship for the Sport yacht cruiser Targa range of the UK builder. Project: Numarine 54 HT

Numarine, the Turkish yard based in Istanbul, presents the project of the 54 HT, hard top coupe of over sixteen metres in length with a performance estimation of 34 knots coming from twin 715hp shaft driven Caterpillar engines. The interior layout offers three double cabins with a choice between two doubles and a twin cabin or a double cabin and two twins and two heads, as well as a galley/dining area. A grand celebration took place at the CRN Shipyard, as the Ancona shipyard held a new launching: “Emerald Star”, the first 43-metre hull of a new displacement line made of composite materials, took to the water in the presence of the shipowner and more than 350 shipyard employees, to whom the festive day was dedicated. The first vessel made of composite materials to be fully constructed at the Ancona facility, the CRN 43 sets itself apart with her major volumes and extensive open-air zones, such as the covered well areas of the main deck and the upper deck, lodged in openings in the majestic white hull. A perfect home for long cruises, the new composite queen can easily hold 10 passengers and 9 crew members, navigating in flawless comfort at a maximum speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots.

Projects: Raffaelli 25 Thaityan, Raffaelli 60 Meltemi, Raffaelli Calima

Raffaelli presents a project of what should be the new flagship at 25 mtr of the Pesaro Italian boat builder. Little information have been presented so far but imagine a standard 4 cabin layout plus crew, superb sea keeping qualities and the usual perfect weight distribution the yard is renowned for, that usually gets a CE Category A certification also on the smaller models like the 12 metre Shamal.

The Raffaelli 60 Meltemi named after the famous Greek wind, will fit nicely between the successful 52 Maestrale and the current top of the range 66 Ontera motor yachts. Standard layout is a spacious 3 cabin affair with a full width master cabin mid ship and 2 spacious identical guest cabins forward. Speed estimation is for 30 knots with 2 x Caterpillar 850 hp engines.

Raffaelli Calima is the novelty at the medium competitive 14 metre flybridge motor cruiser category, fitting between the other Raffaelli family models 12.96 mtr Levante Fly and the 15 mtr Compass Rose. The interior layout is a classic 3 cabin affair with master cabin forward with en-suite head, 2 identical guest cabins with 2 in-line single berths and guest shower head. Performance estimation is for a 30 knot top speed with 2 x 400 HP Iveco Aifo engines. As all Raffaelli boats also this new project will be built and constructed to a CE Category A standard, something not very common in most of the offers in this size range.
