Project: Numarine 40MXP

Numarine’s popular and successful range of stylish, spacious and highly capable superyachts prove that access-all-areas yachting is no longer the preserve of ever-longer hulls. Its current fleet, which stretches from the talented 22XP to the chiselled 45XP flagship, is quickly becoming a global benchmark in the highly competitive twenty to 45-metre bracket, but rather than rest on its laurels the shipyard is continuing to innovate, enters the 40MXP project. Preserving the same style cues and DNA of her siblings, the new 39-metre 40MXP retains Numarine’s high-volume, low-hassle, long-range ethos while offering several new design features that open up new opportunities to enjoy the intimate connection with the sea that a yacht confers. It’s a recipe that has made its mark even before the new model has been officially added to the menu; two 40MXPs have already been sold, with delivery expected in 2025. The ‘MXP’ stands for Mediterranean Explorer, but the reference is not suggestive of a cruising limitation of the design, rather it reflects the beach-club lifestyle typical of Med yachts. As an evolution of and at two metres longer than the 37XP, the new 40MXP draws on the Med lifestyle idea and delivers it in several exciting ways. First, the aft deck has been enlarged both as a result of the extra length and also by moving the aft sliding doors to the saloon forward by three metres. The result is an area with space for a large alfresco dining area, a bar, and a lounge area surrounding another new feature an aft pool complete with glass transom. This spectacular new social hub extends down to a huge hydraulic swim platform that stretches across the yacht’s eight metre beam. This oasis of outdoor living can be shaded with an awning to keep the extremes of the sun at bay or, with the option of short standard or long optional upper deck extensions, can also benefit from the upper deck overhang for more permanent shade in climates such as the Middle East or Australia. While the ‘M’ part of the 40MXP offers the glamour of beach life, the XP explorer part is as alive as ever, with the 40MXP achieving an impressive six thousand nautical-mile range at eight knots thanks to the optimised hull form developed by long-standing Numarine naval architecture partner Umberto Tagliavini. Standard propulsion comes from a pair of MAN 800hp engines, although there is the option to upgrade to a Tier III-compliant twin MAN 900hp installation. The first two sold units will both have the 900hp MAN upgrades. The interior offers Numarine’s trademark space and luxury, with six suites for up to twelve guests that include a full-beam main deck master and an impressive full-beam lower deck VIP. The interior design, as the 40MXP’s exterior lines once again come from Can Yalman. The 40MXP offers everything, from expansive flybridge to generous upper deck and inviting main deck that has made the 37XP a much-coveted and commercially successful model.

Contemporary furniture creates the ultimate entertainment space. Socializing is at the heart of the design. Inside there are a bar, large C-shaped sofa and dining area, while another lounge with a bar and over-sized transformable sun pads are located aft. New Model: Numarine 26 XP

Numarine, the European high performance motor yacht shipyard headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey offering a range of yachts from 62 to 105 feet, is delighted to announce that the very first hull of the 26 XP Explorer Series has been launched. The yacht’s premiere is planned for the Turkish Eurasia Boat Show held in the second part of February 2018 in Tuzla near Istanbul. This compact 26-meter expedition vessel was sold in May 2016 to a returning customer from Turkey.  This the fourth Numarine for this loyal client, before which he owned the 78 Flybdige yachts. Numarine’s long-term collaborator Can Yalman designed the 26 XP’s exterior and interior. Naval architecture is by Umberto Tagliavini. She is very modern, even futuristic, due to angular windows and a vertical bow, and carries the DNA of a larger model, the 32XP, the first of which was launched last summer. Designed to offer the same capabilities of her longer sisters, the 26 XP’s smaller draft allows her to berth in shallower harbors. The yacht has well proven and efficient hull, specially designed for ocean cruising.  The first 26 XP unit was built in the very efficient, semi-displacement version. The superyacht will achieve a maximum speed of 22 knots, with a cruising speed of 18 knots. Her sophisticated interior is spacious and refined. There are four large guest cabins below decks, including the master suite amidships and two VIP cabins. Social areas are vast, with an extensive main saloon, beach platform and a special flybridge with its own lounge, dining table and even storage space for a 5-meter tender.  To ensure the maximum level of comfort on board the 26 XP, Numarine took great care in eliminating or reducing all sources of noise and vibration. The onboard systems that resolve these issues are from the shipyard’s longstanding partner Silent Line, noise and vibration experts for luxury yachts, commercial vessels, and industrial and architectural projects.  The 26 XP is also unique due to her flexible design concept. While the first unit was built with the semi-displacement option, there is also the possibility to choose the displacement version: here, the yacht’s maximum speed is 11.5 knots, with a cruising speed of 9 knots and greater fuel autonomy, up to 3500 nm at 8 knots.  The 26 XP is looking a success for Numarine with four units sold, three of which will be of the displacement long range version.

This latest delivery incorporates a wealth of evolutionary changes from her predecessors along with a number of custom requirements at the request of her owner.  Numarine launched the first 102 to astounding industry recognition in 2007 and subsequently completed five further orders.  This sixth delivery features fully re-worked glazing to the hull sides which has dramatically enhanced her exterior appearance whilst allowing an extra abundance of daylight into her interior.  In addition, a major modification has been made to the crew accommodation and engine room by switching the configuration around. The crew accommodation is now larger and more centrally located and the engine room is much further aft resulting in a very quiet ride.  Exterior design was performed by Studio Spadolini with Naval Architecture by Umberto Tagliavini. Numarine’s long term design partner Can Yalman created the interior design.

Project: Numarine 60 Hardtop

Numarine from Turkey has been a very active builder in recent months, updating and presenting new models to expand its range. The 60 Hardtop project is based on the lines of the Flybridge model of the same size, which with a project presented in Dusseldorf and a first launch scheduled for mid to late 2015 sold three units on plan.  Minus the flybridge the 60 Hardtop is not much different from its sister, in few words it is the same, though the renderings so far make it look so much an other yacht outside. You get the same three double cabins layout below all served with personal heads. This includes a full beam owners cabin, and a two berth crew or surprise guests cabin aft. To continue the main deck layout is also the same this offering a central galley, L-shaped dinette, and C-shape sofa. Power for the Numarine 60 Hardtop will come from twin Volvo 725hp as standard or optional 900hp units with propulsion delivered by IPS pod drives.

Project: Numarine 20 XP

Numarine presents a new Explorer yacht range which so far is being offered in three dimensions; twenty, thirty, and forty meters.  All three models sport a similar modern and futuristic tug boat look. The rendering definitely shows a daring design from Numarine for it's Explorer range looking as a tug yacht from the future.  Nothing new from Numarine in the last ten years or so!  The accommodation plan of the 20 XP offers a traditional four double guest cabins layout, with a crew cabin plus lobby located aft. The main deck will offer an integrated lounging, dining, and galley areas. Three steps up will lead to the raised pilot house, which also offers a day head to starboard side.  Power for the 20 XP will come from twin MAN 560hp, which give estimated max speeds of 19 knots and a cruise of 10.  Range is 1500 nautical miles at ten knots and consumption of 10000 liters of fuel.

Born as a project of a 68 Fly back in 2009, the Numarine 70 Flybridge took five years to become a reality and make its appearance on the market.  Currently its entry level model, the 70 Flybridge is a very important model for the Turkish builder who went in 2014 with an upgrade to its line, and a host of new projects presented.
