Sport Cruiser Ends Aground on Horseshoe Island, New Jersey

An eight meter sport cruiser ended aground on Horseshoe Island outside Little Egg Inlet, New Jersey and was recovered on the 28 April.  TowBoatUS Barnegat Inlet and Beach Haven which shared the story on its Facebook page advised the boat ended aground some days before the reported date, as northeast seas and winds following the accident pushed the boat higher into the island.  Ultimately as seas calmed the recovery operation was held from the back-side of the island.  The accident was reported to be an error of navigation, with no injuries advised.
The sport cruiser in this accident is a Larson 274 Cabrio as produced from 2002 to 2009.  The 274 Cabrio was a replacement to the Larson 270 Cabrio.

Project: Hinckley Picnic Boat 45

Hinckley present the Picnic Boat 45 project.  Building on the success of the smaller Picnic Boats, especially the recently arrived 39, the Picnic Boat 45 is the most socially considered vessel Hinckley has ever built, thanks to a bow rider deck style which offer stem to stern social spaces in a near seam-less level.  You have only one step up to access the fore-deck dinette.  The Hinckley Picnic Boat 45 also brings cabin spaces for four in two cabins; forward master and guest at midship, with a shower head to starboard.  Powered by twin Volvo 725hp and Hamilton waterjets, the Hinckley Picnic Boat 45 is poised to reach up to forty knots top speed, and a cruise of 34.

Sport Cruiser Partly Sinks in Black Point Boat Ramp, Florida

An eight meter sport cruiser with four persons onboard partly sank at the Black Point Marina boat ramp in Florida on the evening of Sunday 26 April.  Alfred Montaner documented the event on his YouTube channel and the Chit Show he transmits live on the weekend from Black Point.  The boat is filmed coming and running low in the water at Black Point, as it positions by the boat ramp, that is until SeaTow comes to the assistance.  The boat is then saved after some hours of water pumping.  No one was injured in the accident as the cause of the part-sinking are not reported.
The boat in this accident is a Robalo 2640 Walkaround as produced from 1998 to 2001.  The 2640 Walkaround was a replacement to the 2660 Cuddy, and was replaced by the Robalo 265 Walkaround.

New Model: Cranchi A32 Luxury Tender

Following the A46 Luxury Tender which arrived in 2021 it was a matter of time for Cranchi to follow it with another second Luxury Tender, enters the Cranchi A32 Luxury Tender and like the four meters larger sister comes again from a design of Christian Grande.  The ten meter size has always been big for Cranchi since it became a World known name back in the eighties.  Do you remember the 31 Endurance from the eighties? It was in short words the Cranchi which road mapped the Italian builder to international fame.  With the A32 Cranchi does not forget how important this size has been to its success.  The A32 unlike its larger sister is not a full walk-around and more a hybrid day-sport-cruiser style, with a drop-down bulk-head to port side to increase cockpit space and connection to the sea at anchor.  While not a walk-around the A32 is still about exterior and cockpit spaces, easy to use from stern to bow, but cabin space is also interesting, offering a forward C-shaped dinette which transforms to a double berth, mini double berth at midships, and a wet-head to starboard.  The Cranchi A32 is powered by twin Volvo 280hp gas engines coupled to stern drive propulsion, with options for larger twin 350hp, and or 270hp diesels.

Two Persons Saved as Boat Goes Ablaze Near Marzamemi, Sicily

A seven meter Bayliner sportfish cruiser with two persons onboard went ablaze about one nautical offshore to Sanlorenzo near Marzamemi, to the East of Sicily just after 12:30 of Saturday 25 April.  Seeing the fire the two persons onboard jumped in the water and were saved by a beach-guard who came to the rescue with a paddle boat as he saw the blaze from the beach.  The Guardia di Finanza and Guardia Costiera followed to the assistance later with the V854 and CP 763 boats respectively.  Ultimately the boat was wrecked from the blaze and sunk.  The two persons were assisted by the 118 emergency crew who were taken to the Di Maria hospital of Avola for a check.  The cause of the fire is not reported.
The boat in this fire is a first generation Bayliner Trophy 2352 Walkaround as produced from 1991 to 1995.  The Trophy 2352 was replaced by the Bayliner 2509 Trophy Walkaround.  Bayliner Trophy line debuted in 1983 with the 2160 Trophy Cuddy, with the line stopped in 2010, and then returned in 2020 with the T20CC.

New Model: Sanlorenzo 74Steel

Sanlorenzo has in the end of 2025 launched its largest yacht to date with the first hull of the awaited 74Steel.  Designed by Zuccon for exterior, the first 74Steel featured interiors by Francesco Paszkowski and Margerita Casprini while the second hull which is nearing completion has interiors designed by Paola Ferrari.  So far Sanlorenzo has sold four hulls of its new flagship, as the Italian builder has continued to push into always bigger and mega sizes in recent years.  This is more impressive when one thinks, that only in 2017, Sanlorenzo went over the fifty meter barrier, and that it entered steel construction in 2010 with the 44Steel yacht. The first 74Steel is powered by twin MTU 2467hp for speeds up to seventeen knots, a cruise of thirteen, and an eleven knots long range which will give about six thousand nautical miles of distance before needing to refuel the tanks.

Project: Princess S74

Princess Yachts is proud to unveil the latest addition of its S Class range, with the presentation of the S74 project set to launch in 2027. The S74 is an evolution of the S72 which debuted at the 2023 Dusseldorf boat show. As the above rendering shows the S74 features a soft enhanced aesthetic outside, the hull side windows has been extended, now integrating into the engine air intakes.  The S74 will also feature a renewed cockpit seating with the U-shaped dinette of the S72 replaced by an L-shaped settee, and the wet-bar to port replaced by a bench settee. The interior is mostly identical to the outgoing S72 in both main and four double cabins lower deck layout. The Princess S74 is powered by twin MAN 1800hp engines for top speeds up to 38 knots.
