Sport Cruiser Ends Aground on Horseshoe Island, New Jersey

An eight meter sport cruiser ended aground on Horseshoe Island outside Little Egg Inlet, New Jersey and was recovered on the 28 April.  TowBoatUS Barnegat Inlet and Beach Haven which shared the story on its Facebook page advised the boat ended aground some days before the reported date, as northeast seas and winds following the accident pushed the boat higher into the island.  Ultimately as seas calmed the recovery operation was held from the back-side of the island.  The accident was reported to be an error of navigation, with no injuries advised.
The sport cruiser in this accident is a Larson 274 Cabrio as produced from 2002 to 2009.  The 274 Cabrio was a replacement to the Larson 270 Cabrio.
