New Launch: Michael Rybovich 82 Sportfisherman Hull #7

This July 2024 Michael Rybovich launched the 82 Sportfisherman, hull seven of Michael's new era which started in 2014 with the 64 Walkaround.  As was the Walkaround hull One, this new 82 hull seven is again for a repeat customer, who previously owned two Michael Rybovich custom builds, the 2015 86 Sportfisherman Hull#2 and 78 Sportfisherman Hull#3 launched in 2019.  Designed inhouse the Michael Rybovich 82 Sportfisherman features a four double cabins four head accommodation lower deck, with an owners stateroom at midships which takes near to the full beam of the yacht, a VIP suite forward, and two guest cabins at midships.  As most sportfish of this size the living, dining, and lounging area are all on the main deck, with the Michael Rybovich 82 Sportfisherman offering a central line located galley with island bar, served with a dinette to port side.  The Michael Rybovich 82 Sportfisherman is powered by twin MTU 2600hp which give a top speed up to 46 knots, a fast cruise of 39, and a 27 knots long range economic cruising for an autonomy up to 1100 nautical miles.  Apart being a founder of the sportfish genre Rybovich is also one of the most historic revered names, which is currently enjoying an incredible spell of five new builds from 42 to 82 foot at Palm Beach.

Project: Michael Rybovich 70 Sportfisherman Hull#9

Michael Rybovich has in the end of 2022 starting to build its ninth hull, what will be a 70 Sportfisherman.  Fully custom and to be build in the jig method, Michael Rybovich hull nine will offer a four cabin with three heads interior, with an owners stateroom located forward, and a VIP suite located at midships on starboard side.  The living like most sportfish yachts of this size is on the main deck with a galley forward to starboard featuring a central bar alley, dinette opposite to port, and welcoming sofa on entrance.  Michael Rybovich 70 Sportfisherman is to be powered by twin Cats 2000hp.  Speed estimates are not given, but 68 Sportfisherman Hull#3 had a top speed of 42 knots in a smaller two foot length and one of beam and slightly less powerful engines.  So expect the 70 Sportfisherman Hull#9 wide open throttle numbers around the forty mark.

New Launch: Michael Rybovich 94 Sportfisherman Hull#6

Michael Rybovich and Sons Hull No. 6 is a 94-foot enclosed bridge, which is designed to fish anywhere in the world in total luxury, thanks to a state-of-the-art power management system and redundant systems throughout. The design features a full-beam master with side windows disguised as engine air intakes to allow in natural light without compromising the look of the hull from the outside. This build includes room to sleep up to eight guests and four crewmembers, making it the largest built by the Rybovich family to date. Designed by Michael and Dusty Rybovich responsible for the exterior and naval architecture, 94 Sportfisherman hull number six featured a modified Vee shape hull which closes at a rather flat seven degrees angle aft.  Another design detail of this new Rybovich flagship is the straight sheer line, which has not been shown since the 2007 launched 68 hull#124.  Powered by twin MTU 2600hp Michael Rybovich 94 Sportfisherman reaches a top speed of 41 knots.

Project: Michael Rybovich 62 Sportfisherman Hull #8

Michael Rybovich present the 62 Sportfisherman Hull number eight project.  Coming from an inhouse design. The 62 Sportfisherman hull number eight is the smallest Michael Rybovich build following the 64 Walkaround hull #1 launched in 2014.  The Rybovich 62 Sportfisherman will feature a three cabin layout with master stateroom at midships to starboard, and a forward cabin with four berths; two bunk berths and a double French berth. She is to be powered by twin MTU 1920hp engines, no speed estimates are currently provided.   Current construction status is for the the main deck and flybridge being fitting out.

Project: Micheal Rybovich 82 Sportfisherman Project#7

Michael Rybovich has started the construction of its hull number seven, to be another super sportfish above 24 meters in length.  Design and naval architecture as nearly all Rybovich is made inhouse, and 82 hull number seven will feature a four en-suite lower deck layout, with a midships located owners stateroom.  She is to be powered by twin MTU 2600hp, no speed data is yet communicated.

Michael Rybovich New Web Site

Michael Rybovich and Sons presents its new World wide web showroom.  Michael Rybovich and Sons was founded in 2010.  As the surname says Michael is a direct descendant to the Rybovich legacy which was founded in 1919 by Astro-Hungarian immigrant John Senior.  He is infect a third generation Rybovich son of Emil part of the second generation of Rybovich who along with brothers John and Tommy brought so much innovation and created the current sportfishing genre in the mid twentieth century, along with some other innovations as the use of Epoxy and the cold moulding build technique.  Currently Michael who is third generation is being followed by his son Dusty a graduate in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering by the Webb Institute.  Michael Rybovich aims to continue the family legacy and along with New Construction is also offering Service and Repair.  Since starting operation Michael has delivered five custom new boats; from a 64 feet in 2014, to a 78 in 2019, with an 86 feet flagship hull no. 2 launched in 2015 which is so far the largest ever build Rybovich.  Currently Michael Rybovich and Sons is building two new super sportfish yachts a 94 hull no. 6 and an 82.  Michael Rybovich and Sons new website takes you around with the following buttons; Home, New Construction, Service, The Registry, About, Contact, and Boats for Sale.  For those with historical interest an important part of the website is the Registry sections which shows all the hulls build data from 1947 till today and New Construction, Custom Builds section which shows all the builds and in some cases the photos from the Rybovich name from 2014 to today under Michael Rybovich and Sons, from 2010 to 2007 under Rybovich and Sons, from 2006 to 1985 under the Ryco Marine name, and John Rybovich and Sons from 1976 to 1947. Project: Michael Rybovich 94 Sportfisherman

Michael Rybovich is currently building a 94 Sportfisherman, an enclosed bridge super sportfish yacht of 28 meters in length.  Sixth and largest build of the new Michael Rybovich and Sons era, this 94 Sportfisherman project was made all in house, and feature a three guest cabin interior sleeping seven, and two crew cabins forward sleeping four.  The owners midship stateroom which sleeps three with a single berth to port side, features an impressive size.  A nice detail of the Rybovich 94 Sportfisherman will also be a day-head to port side of the main deck, just to the left of the patio door.  Rybovich 94 Sportfisherman is to be powered by twin MTU 2600hp.

Project: Michael Rybovich 86 Sportfisherman

Rybovich is currently building its largest build to date with the project of its hull number two currently being under construction and in its finishing stages.  Hull two commenced construction in 2013 and should be finished later on in 2015.  The interior of this super sportfish by Michael Rybovich and sons will feature a four double cabin interior with a traditional layout of owners stateroom at midships, VIP to fore and two double guest cabins in between.  She is to be powered by twin MTU 2600hp engines with estimated fast top speeds of 45 knots.

New Launch: Michael Rybovich 64' Hull#1 Walkaround

A new launch from Rybovich is always big news in the custom sportfisherman segment, and this latest 64 Walkaround has more going to it then one might think. It is not only a return to Rybovich being built by the family, but also a new yard acquisition in Palm Beach, and lastly but not least an innovative sportfishman yacht looking timeless. The Hull One of this new Michael Rybovich and Sons venture is a fully cored constructed jig method build. She offers a four stateroom interior with an innovative interior plan and plenty of accommodation in this size thanks to the use of IPS pod drives propulsion. The innovative features in the layout are a day head to port side of the interior saloon entrance, a full beam owners room at midships, and a Vee shaped double forward with separate entrance. Micheal Rybovich 64 Hull One Walkaround is powered from twin Volvo 900hp engines propelled by forward looking IPS pods and reaching a top speed of 38 knots. With its conservative horse-power for a nineteen meter Sportfishman this new Rybovich makes competition even to some of the faster European style Sport Yachts, thanks to a moderate beam, and light weight making best use of the cold moulding build.

New Launch: Rybovich and Sons 78' Hull. 125

Positioned in Florida, Rybovich is one of the legendary custom sport fish boat builders and for the past July they launched there biggest built to date a 78 foot hull number 125. Just for those who don't know Rybovich was founded in 1928 and its first build was in 1946, launching a 36 footer. Each Rybovich is pure custom build craftsmanship with the most numbers of builds in a year being only seven in 1957. Today its deliveries span over a hundred, with building methods first of complete wood, and then later on in the more modern cold moulding method. This particular 78 took thirty months to build. Based on the 72 model hull which was delivered in two examples in 1996 and 1999, this new 78 flagship has a four cabin interior with a mid ship owners stateroom, VIP cabin to fore, double guest cabin to port, and double bunk crew cabin to starboard. The 78 also features the much requested aft looking mezzanine in the cockpit. Performance as today's Sportfish Yachts is fast, having a 44 knots max speed with a 35 knots cruise. Consumption at cruising is 150 US gallons, equivalent to 567 litres per hour.
