A 23 meter Ferretti yacht named Destiny which was running a charter cruise was filmed as it collided into a tourist ferry vessel in the Miami River on the afternoon of Sunday 23 May. The story was shared by The Qualified Captain on his Facebook and Instagram pages, who shared two short reels as the yacht collided its bow into the stern of the passenger ferry. The cause of the collision is not reported, but is speculated to have been a problem with throttle response.
The yacht in this accident is a first generation Ferretti 780 as designed by Zuccon and produced from 2004 to 2009. The 780 was a replacement to the 76 and was replaced by the Ferretti 800.
