A twelve meter Carver aft cabin cruiser was saved from sinking near Dear Island, Boston Harbor on the night of Monday twenty April. The cabin cruiser was tended by TowBoatUS Boston, Beverly and Newburyport who shared the story on its Facebook page, and saved the boat as they dewatered it and then towed it to a yard for a haul out. The aft cabin cruiser was taking on water as it hit some rocky reef which ripped its starboard propeller, P-bracket and shaft. The cause of the accident is not reported.
The boat in this accident is a Carver 4207 Aft Cabin as produced from 1985 to 1991. The 4207 Aft Cabin was Carver largest boat when released in 1985, remaining its flagship for nearly all its production run and the arrival of the 430 Cockpit Motor Yacht in it's last year of production.
