A not attended sport cruiser of nine meters in length went ablaze as it was berthed in Marina di Cecina, Tuscany at about mid-day of Monday fourteen August, 2023. The fire alarm for the blaze was given by a passer-by, with the Port Captaincy immediately activating itself to tow the boat outside of the marina, and were assisted by the Vigili del Fuoco fire fighters. who managed to save the boat from sinking. Following the accident the wreck of the boat was then towed to a boat yard and dry-docked. No injuries are reported from the accident, with the cause of the fire being under investigation.
