Capsized Sportfish Cruiser Recovered in Florida

An eight meter in size sportfish cruiser with twin outboard motors was recovered as it capsized offshore to Miami, with the story shared on Tuesday 23 June on the Fast Response Marine Towing and Salvage Facebook page.  Fast Response salvaged the boat, by flipping it, and then towing to a boat ramp for recovery.  During the lift out the boat had one motor down, and the other up.  No further news, how the accident happened and and if anyone was injured seem to be available about this.
The boat in this accident is a Fountain 29 Sportfish Cruiser as produced from 1995 to 2005.  The 29 Sportfish Cruiser was a replacement to the 27 Sportfish Cruiser and replaced by the Fountain 33 Sportfish Cruiser.

Improve-it = Palm Beach Motor Yachts GT50

Performance has always been central to the DNA of Palm Beach Motor Yachts. Now, the company is taking that philosophy to a new level with the launch of the first Palm Beach GT50 RS, a yacht that combines exhilarating outboard-powered performance with the refinement, sophistication, and craftsmanship expected aboard every Palm Beach Motor Yacht.  Powered by quad Mercury 500R V8 outboards producing a combined two thousand horsepower, the GT50 RS achieves speeds of 50 knots while still delivering the quiet ride, composure, and comfort Palm Beach Motor Yachts is known for. More than just a high-performance outboard yacht, the GT50 RS redefines what owners can expect from the outboard category.  Like many Palm Beach Motor Yachts models, the GT50 RS was born from client demand. Designed for an experienced yachtsman seeking high-speed coastal commuting and cruising capability, hull number one will serve as a stylish commuter between Connecticut and Long Island transforming the often-demanding run between destinations into something genuinely exciting, even in challenging conditions.  The GT50 RS delivers the exhilaration of a high-performance outboard yacht, while large opening windows and sunroof create an open-air, sports car-like driving experience. When owners choose to step out of the wind and elements, the helm and salon can be enclosed to provide quiet, air-conditioned comfort more reminiscent of a luxury automobile than a traditional outboard-powered yacht.

New Model: Viking 50 Billfish

The Viking 50 Billfish carries forward a series designed for fishing and built with Viking semi-custom quality. From the 37 and 38 to the 46 and now the 50, the Billfish line has kept its identity: a classic dayboat profile with an inset bridge, clean lines and serious cockpit space. Hull No. 1 is now in Hawaii, where she will be used to target world-record blue marlin. At fifteen square meters, the cockpit keeps the focus on fishing, with a teak sole and covering boards, mezzanine seating, fighting chair, rod holders and ample dry and refrigerated storage. The flybridge and center console helm are arranged for long days offshore. Twin displays are flush-mounted and easy to see and access, with instruments and controls inside dual radio boxes siding the teak helm pod; there’s more electronics in the hardtop’s recessed area. The captain has a clear sightline aft to the cockpit. The Viking 50 Billfish offers a cabin layout with two or three cabins version, with an option to have a three berth forward cabin replacing the central double queen berth. In the three cabins version, the third cabin replaces the tackle storage room. The Viking 50 Billfish is powered by twin MAN 1200hp or optional Scania 1150hp.

New Model: Beneteau Gran Turismo 40

Seeing the sport cruiser segment changing in recent years, Beneteau made a big turn around and decided to redesign all its Gran Turismo range with three new models.  This new second generation Gran Turismo 40 shows the way forward for what has been Beneteau's success of the last two decades, with this model a replacement to the Gran Turismo 41 produced since 2021, what was previously the first generation Gran Turismo 40, Flyer Gran Turismo 38, and debuted as the Monte Carlo 37 in 2006.  It's been nineteen years of improving for what over the years became the European sport cruiser standard.  With this new Gran Turismo 40, Beneteau instructed its long standing designer Andreani; he designed all the four models mentioned, to make a hybrid, a sport cruiser which brings the amenities of the walk-around cruisers which are dominating the market, like the Fjord, Pardo's and Solaris Power models mixed to those of a cabin boat.  This new Gran Turismo is just that offering for half its length full walk-around comfort, which expands more thanks to the drop down bulkheads, and then from midships it is a cabin boat, with the helm station also enclosing itself from the aft deck, and the forward raised deck which offers lower deck cabin space for four.  The new Benateau Gran Turismo 40 is powered by twin Yanmar 370hp on stern drives propulsion for speeds up to 32 knots, with an outboard gas petrol twin Mercury 400hp also being available.  The second generation Gran Turismo 40 is also offered in the Alpine Edition, for special details and finishing to make that more special.
