Two Boaters Dog Saved as Sport Cruiser Sinks at Anse de la Badine, Hyères

Two boaters and a dog were saved as a ten meter hard-top sport cruiser sank at Anse de la Badine off the Giens Peninsula in Hyères on 23:03 of Wednesday 23 July.  SNSM Hyeres who shared the story on its Facebook page dispatched the rescue boat SNS 6-001 of Regional Operational Surveillance and Rescue Center who recovered the two people and the dog, after these were rescued by a nearby sail-boat.  These then were transported to the marina.  SNSM then inspected the sank vessel for any fuel leaks, with this reported to be negative.  The cause of the sinking is not reported, though the vessel was reported to be at anchor.
