Engine: MTU 10V2000 M96 1361hp

MTU present the new ten cylinder version of the Series 2000 M96 engine. The new yacht engine was seen for the first time at the Cannes show.  This new offer is a new ten cylinder version with outputs above 1361hp. It is an ideal extension to our yacht engine portfolio, and should follow on the success of the 12V and 16V models.  The new MTU 10V2000 M96 1361hp engine meets U.S. EPA Marine Tier 3 Recreational standards in addition to EU Directive RCD II for leisure craft, which becomes mandatory from January 2017, and features outstanding acceleration behavior and low fuel consumption. The Series 2000 yacht engines are a preferred choice of shipyards throughout Europe: to date, over 16,000 Series 2000 engines have been sold for marine applications.

New Model: Rio 56 Colorado

After a success in the not so easy market of recent years Rio updates its flagship with the presentation of the new 56 Colorado. An update of the well received and innovative 54, the 56 Colorado gets added with an important in size bathing platform, now able to accommodate a larger rib, or jet bike.  Another update for the new 56 Colorado will also be the addition of larger engines choices from the Cummins 715hp with ZF pod drives to the choice of Volvo 725hp or Man 800hp as fitted on hull one of the series.  For the remaining the Rio 56 Colorado keeps the superlative points of the 54, as its light filled and spacious galley located on the lower deck just under the helm station, its innovative fully opening hard top with fully disappearing patio door, and its large full beam owners cabin.

New Model: Arcadia 100

While still enjoying the attention with its new ground breaking entry level sixteen meter Sherpa model, Arcadia looks back into its DNA and launches the new 100.  Sold in the early part of Summer and making its World debut in Cannes 2016, the Arcadia 100 continues the philosophy which started with the 85 a few years back, that of an Eco-friendly super yacht which maximizes living areas on the main deck. Glass areas and surrounding views dominate the main deck, and the 100 unlike its smaller or bigger sister has an impressive flybridge which if desired can be closed with windows that go out of the bulk heads and transform the bridge into a sky-lounge.  The Arcadia 100 is available in four or five cabins versions, with this last having an owners stateroom on the forward part of the main deck.  Crew accommodation is for five in three cabins forward, which also feature an adjacent lobby and galley in the five cabin version. The NPL semi displacement hull and twin Man 1000hp engines give the Arcadia 100 a top speed of 18 knots.

Project: Cantieri di Pisa 22 Kitalpha

What a superb looking project the new Cantieri di Pisa 22 Kitalpha is.  Luca Dini really out did himself and presented one of the most elegant looking traditional explorer yachts in the market. The only small let down is that possibly the 22 Kitalpha could have looked a bit more like the never ending elegance the early seventies wood build 15 Kitalpha had. To be built of a full alloy or steel construction option and feature a semi displacement hull, the 22 Kitalpha also reinvents the wheel in its layout, pilot house, raised saloon which looks coming from a sailing boat, and an important aft beach house which opens on the water when at anchor.  Cantieri di Pisa new 22 Kitapha will be powered by twin Volvo 700hp engines with line shafts propulsion.  Speeds are 19 knots max for the lighter alloy version with the steel hull giving 14 nautical miles per hour.

New Model: Pershing 5X

Possibly the most waited model of recent times, the new Pershing 5X presented last week in full fashion at the Cannes 2016 boat show. Designed as usual by Pershing's all time designer Fulvio de Simoni, the Italian status symbol builder does it again with one of the most forward looking and thinking sport yachts in the market today.  It is that 21 years later when Pershing launched the 54 in October 1995 at the Genoa boat show, and a bunch of other models before and after the Mondolfo Adriatic sea builder has again that special one in its hands which re-invents the wheel.  A lot of question had arisen when the design of the new Pershing 5X was presented last year. How will the side fins look and work in a smaller model to the 70 being the most important one being asked.  The 5X is also a breakthrough for the Ferretti Group being the first model equipped with Volvo IPS pod propulsion.  Better late then never some may say, since IPS was introduced some time ago in 2004!  Nothing new for the Ferretti Group who always had technological innovation coming from the inside rather then third party elements.  The superb news for Pershing is that the market is already giving full positive feedback to the 5X, with seven orders being made previous to the launch of hull one, which I am sure will be at least double to that after the fall boat show season has ended.

Project: Marex 310 Sun Cruiser

Marex continue to upgrade its smart looking hard top sport cruiser range and presents the project for a new 310 Sun Cruiser.  This new project has very similar looks to Marex current 375 model flagship with the main difference being that it is not a fully enclosed hard top model, meaning that it is open at the back.  The 310 Sun Cruiser also features a galley down layout in between the two cabins.  With the 310 Sun Cruiser Marex return to a single engine installation a philosophy it has embraced on most of its models minus the new 375 flagship.  The hard-top of the 310 is of a fully extended design covering most of the cockpit deck, with built in integrated solar panels.  Standard power is Volvo 300hp single engine unit with V-drive line shaft propulsion and estimated max speeds of 31 knots.

Project: Sunseeker 68 Predator Mk.II

Sunseeker presents the project for a new Predator 68 Mk.II, or should be Mk.III if we include the 2000s 68?  Anyways Sunseeker is calling the new 68 Predator Mk.II so we go on with that name. The 68 Predator includes a re-styled interior and modified exterior lines looking as much similar as Sunseeker current best selling 57 Predator model on steroids. Yes including in the new 68 Predator Mk.II are the never ending hull side windows which get bigger the more you move aft.  The 68 Predator Mk.II will also feature other details from the 57 as the disappearing lower patio door which turns the cockpit into a fully enclosed deck into one fully open. Below deck the new 68 Predator Mk.II features three spacious en-suite cabins, comprising of a midships master room, starboard twin and forward VIP, all equipped with individually controllable entertainment systems.  Behind the 68 Predator Mk.II transom below the sun pad is a tender garage providing the space to house a tender or jet ski with a hydraulic lifting platform to make launching effortless.  Sunseeker 68 Predator Mk.II is powered by standard Man 1200hp engines giving cruise speed of 24 knots and a range of 300 nautical miles. Alternatively is the Man 1550hp engines option, available with shaft or Arneson surface drives with this last choice giving speeds up to 43 knots.
