Three Injured as Sport Cruiser Hits Reef and Sinks Near Palamos, Spain

Three persons were injured as a thirteen meter sport cruiser collided with a reef and then sank near the Ant Island of Palamos, in the province of Catalunya, Spain at 22:10 of Saturday five September.  The sport cruiser which was carrying a total of seven persons was assisted by Firefighters of the Generalitat and Maritime Rescue.  The seven boaters were taken to the Port of Palamos where an ambulance was waiting to take care of the three injured boaters, with two reported having mild injuries and one having less serious.  The boat eventually sank in fourteen meters of water.
The boat in this accident is a Cheradi 44 Santoriini as produced in the nineties.  Cheradi from Taranto, Italy offered three models from thirteen to eighteen meters in between 2002 to 2009.
