A twelve meter classic cabin cruiser with one person and a dog ended aground on the North Jetty of Barnegat Inlet, New Jersey on the early afternoon of Saturday fifth September. TowBoatUS Barnegat Light and Beach Haven who shared the story on its Facebook page assisted the yacht, first by towing the boat to safer grounded location, so that the one passenger and dog can be dropped and to dewater and make a temporary fix to the sustained damage. Following this the classic boat was towed to Holiday Harbor Marina for an emergency lift out. The boat ended aground for an error of navigation.
The boat in this accident is a Pacemaker 40 Motor Yacht as produced from 1972 to 1980. Pacemaker was founded in 1948 by C.P. Leek and his sons, John E. and Cecil building boats and yachts from eight to 22 meters and up to 1980.
