An eighteen meter Magnum sport yacht collided into the Cote D'Azur Airport breakwater in Nice, France on the early 02:00 hours of Sunday sixth September. The yacht was assisted by six SNSM Société Nationale de Sauvetage en Mer crew, who started working around the clock to safe the yacht and avoid further damage to itself and the environment. The first operation was to remove the fuel, with the yacht then removed and trailered on a truck and taken to a yacht yard for repairs. No persons are reported injured, with the number of people onboard not reported. The yacht caused no pollution, with the cause of the accident not reported.
The yacht in this accident is a Magnum 60 Furia as designed by Pininfarina and produced since 2001. The 60 Furia was a replacement to the Magnum 56.
