Marex present the project for an upcoming 390 model as designed by VOM Creations and Alpha Engineering. The Marex is designed as an addition to the 330 and 440 Scandinavian range, offering a perfect balance of open and enclosed spaces. To ensure Marex 390 meets the real needs of boaters, all feedback from the previous Marex owners was collected, and thoughtful details were incorporated. The Marex team worked closely with VOM Creations and Alpha Engineering, taking care to create a more open and comfortable space, in the 390 which will feature a warped variable V-shaped hull, and an innovative structure that ensures superior stability, efficiency, and performance on the water. Long, sleek windows run along the hull, giving the profile a fresh and elegant look. Marex has always prioritised functional design, and this is seen on the 390 in the details like the swim platform benches that serve a dual purpose: from seats next to the water to expansive stowage for fenders, lines, and toys. The new cockpit transparent door lets in more light and makes docking in harbours easier, while also keeping a connection to the sea. The foredeck’s hatch has a hidden bow sprit to be easily flipped out, making access to land from the bow easy. The sun-pad also serves as a floating toy, a feature that is very popular among families. The adjustable backrest of the mattress allows it to be used as a chaise lounge. The Marex signature enclosure, the Smart Canopy System, remains a highlight repeated in th390. The side curtains can be deployed in seconds, and together with two sliding roofs, the boat can be adapted to various weather conditions. The Marex 390 offers two generous dining areas; one in the open cockpit and another in the enclosed salon. In the cockpit, a U-shaped sofa extends to accommodate an additional starboard-side seat, comfortably seating up to eight guests around the table. Inside, the salon features a more spacious layout, resulting in a more open and social atmosphere. A reversible backrest transforms the seating into a U-shaped dining area around the table. When the backrest is positioned at the rear, it creates a co-pilot seat. A foldable office table completes the setup, offering a practical workspace. A large sliding door combined with a retractable window allows the salon and cockpit to open up into one continuous space, perfect for socialising with family and friends. The galley is compact but cleverly designed. It includes an induction Miele hob (with generator installed) or a gas hob, a sink with a cover, a double fridge and freezer, an optional oven, and plenty of storage, including new upper cabinets on both sides of the salon. The solar panel system, installed on the roof, provides constant power for the fridge and lights, allowing for boating away from shore power. The accommodation on the Marex 390 is designed to deliver true home comfort on the water. Both the forward and midship cabins feature enlarged double beds with premium mattresses that improve sleeping quality. Spacious wardrobes and generous standing height add to the overall sense of comfort. In the midship cabin, a sofa serves as a cosy seating area or an additional sleeping space for children. A separate shower contributes to the home-like atmosphere, while large windows on the lower deck fill the space with natural light, creating a bright and airy ambiance. The Marex 390 is to be powered by twin Volvo 320hp or 380hp with sterndrive propulsion, or a single 480hp on V-drive line shaft.

Marex New Web Site
Marex presents its new web site. Marex was founded in 1973 by Eyvin Aalrud in Rykene, with the name coming from the Latin words Mare-Rex which means King of the Sea. In its first year Marex debuted the 24 Sun Cab model, which was also offered in a 24 Sun Fun variant by the end of that year. The first Marex 24 Sun Cab model will be produced for fourteen years selling 432 units, its second best sold model to date following the 21 Flexi from the eighties till 2001 which sold in 593 units. In 1979 Marex suffers a set back as its Rykene factory is destroyed by a fire, with Eyvin relocating in Fevik, a previous Fjord Boats factory. In 1996 Marex started a cooperation with Saulius Pajarskas and Raimondas Siugzdinis who had a small boat production facility in Kaunas, Lithuania. This was started with the 270 Estremo model, but eventually all the production will be moved to the Baltic state. Marex has always been a family holding and continues as at today with this philosophy with Eyvin sons, Espen and Thomas Aalrud taking over the company helm in 2009. Marex has up till today build over 3500 boats in over thirty different models, and received twelve awards. Today Marex offers seven models from nine to twelve meters, starting with the 310 Sun Cruiser and go up to 440, with its latest model being the 440 Scandinavia arriving in early 2025. Marex has at the 2023 Cannes yachting festival debuted its largest build to date with its new 440 Gourmet Cruiser. The deck layouts in the Marex 440 are also optionable with the Gourmet cruiser as fitted to hull one offering an astern galley on the main deck, and the Scandinavian version with L-shaped dinette and L-shaped galley opposite to starboard layout. As for the lower deck options the Marex 440 again shows choice available in two or three cabins version. The two cabin options will have full beam midships cabin with a double berth looking to starboard, with a relaxing sofa to port, and an en-suite head. Project: Marex 310 Sun Cruiser
Marex continue to upgrade its smart looking hard top sport cruiser range and presents the project for a new 310 Sun Cruiser. This new project has very similar looks to Marex current 375 model flagship with the main difference being that it is not a fully enclosed hard top model, meaning that it is open at the back. The 310 Sun Cruiser also features a galley down layout in between the two cabins. With the 310 Sun Cruiser Marex return to a single engine installation a philosophy it has embraced on most of its models minus the new 375 flagship. The hard-top of the 310 is of a fully extended design covering most of the cockpit deck, with built in integrated solar panels. Standard power is Volvo 300hp single engine unit with V-drive line shaft propulsion and estimated max speeds of 31 knots.

Project: Marex 375
Marex present the project of the 375 which is based on the hull of its award winning and much praised 370 Aft Cabin Cruiser. Apart the different looking but still family feeling design, two important features differentiate the 375 from the 370, no aft cabin, and the choice of single or twin engine options. The Marex 375 is an enclosed hard top sport cruiser with two important seating areas; one outside on the aft deck with a large C-shaped settee resting to port side, and a similar layout dinette inside. The galley is also located on the main deck with the Marex design team concentrating living up top. Below is two cabins with two double berths; owner to forward, and a guest at midships. A shower head is located to starboard.

New Model: Marex 320 Aft Cabin Cruiser
Following the success and the positive feedback the 370 Marex received, the Norwegian builder launched a smaller by five feet variant, the 320 Aft Cabin Cruiser. Presented in project a couple of months after the launch of the current Marex 370 flagship model, this new 320 follows in concept many of the solution of the larger sister, as a single engine aft hard top sport cruiser. The most notable feature in both the Marex is how the aft cabin does not disturb the sweet lines, in general if you look at the profile opposite it is undetectable. The interior can sleep five inside with the aft cabin featuring a three berths layout; a french bed to port side and a single to starboard, and an owners double larger berth to fore. The shower head is located in the forward cabin. Galley and dinette are located in the center area, all behind the single helm pilot station to starboard of the 320 and under the hard top. Power is a total of twelve engine choice from Volvo and Yanmar start at 150 up to 370hp.
