Classic Hatteras Sportfish Boat Goes Ablaze in Cartagena, Columbia

A classic fourteen meter Hatteras sportfish cruiser went ablaze while berthed in a marina in Cartagena Bay, in Columbia on the afternoon of Friday fourth September.  Authorities responded to the fire, and fired untied the yacht from its berth and towed it away from the marina, as they fought the fire in the middle of the bay.  Ultimately the boat was destroyed, with the wreck not sinking.  No injuries are reported from the blaze, with the cause of the fire not reported.
The boat in this accident is a Hatteras 46 Convertible Series II as designed by Jack Hargrave and produced from 1981 to 1984.  The 46 Convertible Series II was a replacement and soft evolution to the 46 Convertible Series II, with the model replaced by the Hatteras 45 Convertible Series II.
