New Model: Numarine 40MXP

Numarine, the yacht builder of luxury long range explorer yachts, has launched the first 40MXP superyacht, the new forty metre flagship of its popular XP Series, and its largest build to date. This first 40MXP is to be followed by another second hull unit delivery later this year.  Made for Med and beyond MXP stands for Mediterranean Explorer.  The term reflects the beach club lifestyle typical of the Mediterranean, connecting the 40MXP closer to the water to the other XP Numarine's. The 40MXP is based on the 37XP extended in length and adding recent Med lifestyle solutions, but apart extending the hull the new Numarine flagship has been tweaked in other ways; the aft deck has been significantly enlarged, both as a result of the increased hull length and by moving the saloon’s aft sliding doors slightly forward. The result is a spacious area accommodating a large alfresco dining space, a bar, and a lounge surrounding another standout feature, an aft pool with a glass transom. This spectacular new social hub connects to a vast hydraulic swim platform that spans the yacht’s full eight metre beam.  This outdoor haven can be shaded with an awning to provide protection from the sun, ideal for the warmer climates. Thanks to an optimised hull form developed by long standing naval architecture partner Umberto Tagliavini, the yacht boasts an impressive six thousand nautical miles range at eight knots.  The Numarine 40 MXP is standard powered by twin MAN 800hp engines, for sped up to fourteen knots, with the option to upgrade to twin 900hp. Inside, the yacht offers Numarine’s signature space and luxury.  Accommodation can be arranged across six suites for up to twelve guests, including a full beam master on the main deck, along with two additional customisable cabin spaces.  Crew accommodation is for nine in nine cabins including a captains cabin behind the wheel house.  Both the interior and exterior design are once again the work of Can Yalman, with the 40MXP inheriting everything that made the 37XP a highly sought after and commercially successful model, from an expansive flybridge to a generous upper and inviting main deck. A true global explorer, the yacht offers transatlantic range and a substantial tender deck capable of carrying a nine metre tender and three full size jet skis, with additional space for water toys.

Two Yachts Ablaze at Marina Del Cavallino, Venice

Two yachts of eighteen and thirteen meters in length respectively went ablaze at Marina del Cavallino, Venice, Italy at 17:30 of Wednesday tenth September.  The fire is reported to have started on the large classic Riva yacht, as some works were being carried out in the forward cabin, with this then jumping to the smaller flybridge cruiser with the wind.  Fire fighters from the Vigili del Fuoco of Jesolo with a second squad from San Dona di Piave coming later, fought the blaze.  Ultimately the fire was controlled with no injuries, with both boats ending wrecked.  Both yachts were reported to have been dry docked in recent days for some maintenance works.
The classic Riva yacht in this fire is a Corsaro 60 as designed by Giorgio Barilani and produced from 1982 to 1989 in 43 units.  The Corsaro 60 was evolved and replaced by the Corsaro 20.  The other boat is a Marchi 44 as designed by Yankee Delta of Massimo Gregori and produced in the nineties. The 44 was a replacement to the Marchi 45 and then evolved into the 46.

New Model: Palm Beach GT60 Jetdrive

Palm Beach enter its GT series into a new era, as it presents the GT60 with Jetdrive. The Jetdrive version is to be available even on the smaller GT50. With the GT60 Jetdrive, Palm Beach enters into Hinckley territory from a certain point of view, although it is fair to say the GT series is a bit a cross-over styled sporty yacht with hull lines of a down Easter, and a modern more adventurous super structure. In respect to the standard IPS version the GT60 Jetdrive offers little differences, the hull is a bit longer on the chines but a bit shorter in the centreline for the jets, and with the no running gear to the bottom a thirty centimetres less of draft. The first GT60 Jetdrive unit is a customisable boat, painted in a dark near black grey it featured an un-edited open stern layout, with a mezzanine looking aft settee, but also a no patio door main deck. The Palm Beach GT60 Jetdrive is powered by twin Volvo 1000hp with Hamilton water jets and achieved up to 43 knots top speed, with a 35 cruise, which would make it a three knots faster boat to the IPS version.

Project: Absolute Navetta 66

Absolute present the Navetta 66 project, an evolution and replacement to the Navetta 64 which debuted in 2021.  As major differences the Navetta 66 will add a larger cockpit with the open veranda layout which has proven to be such a success for the Absolute since it introduced this concept on the 60 Fly in 2021, that most other builders have copied this feature since then.  In the Navetta 66 adds a special feature of offering an aft guest suite with direct access to the bathing platform.  How is that for a privileged spot for a special guest.  Probably some owners, might also trade this for the larger owners suite forward.  The Navetta 66 is a four guest cabin boat; owners cabin forward, VIP suite to midships portside, double guest cabin to starboard, and the previously mentioned guest suite aft.  A crew cabin is located to starboard at midships, with entry the starboard side-deck.  The Absolute Navetta 66 offers an astern galley layout, with a dining table for eight opposite the galley, and a relaxing L-shaped sofa, while forward and two steps up is a the central helm station.  The flybridge of the Navetta 66 is huge, and is one of the three exterior entertainment areas which offer dining and lounging seating, the other two located forward and the ever existing aft deck.  The Absolute Navetta 66 is to be powered by twin Volvo 900hp as standard or optional 1000hp.

New Model: Focus 3X

Focus launch the awaited new 3X, an innovative hard-top sport cruiser which breaks a few barriers between a sport-cruiser to those of walk-around day boats.  The Focus 3X shines because it offers similar exterior spaces to those of more open cruiser, with an interesting cabin layout.  The innovative exterior which gets more interesting thanks to the extended hard-top design with two-meter wide electric side windows and the electric glass hardtop in the cockpit, enabling it to seamlessly transition to an almost entirely open boat.  This unique feature provides interesting flexibility and connection to the sea.  Flexibility though does not stop here in the 3X, as it offers two options for the cockpit deck, and four lower deck layout choices.  The cockpit deck comes with the L-shape deck layout, with the option being for symmetrical opposite settee choice.  The lower deck which comes standard with a forward double berth; a small dinette to port side with L-shaped galley opposite, and shower head to starboard at midships.  The flexibility here is endless and what actually never changes is the forward cabin with central double berth, with the most interesting option being the B2 choice for a second cabin with double berth at midships starboard, a shower head forward, and a galley to port.  The Focus 3X shows again its flexibility also in its power choices offered with six engine choices; diesel, gas, sterndrive, and one outboard choice.  The smallest engine choice is the Volvo or Mercruiser diesels at 270hp, with the larger being the twin 430hp Mercruiser.
