Yacht Fire at Westshore Yacht Club in South Tampa, Florida

A not attended twenty meter flybridge yacht went ablaze at the Westshore Yacht Club Marina in South Tampa, Florida before 10:00 morning time of Wednesday ten December.  Tampa Fire Rescue tended to the blaze with a fire boat, and were also assisted by the US Coast Guard.  The cause of the fire seem to come from the stern of the yacht, with the efforts to stop the blaze listing it astern.  The yacht was saved from major damage as the fire was controlled in the engine room, and did not spread to other nearby vessels.  No injuries were reported also because the yacht had no one onboard, with the cause of the fire being under investigation.
The yacht in this fire is a Uniesse 65 MY as designed by Fred Hudson and produced from 2007 to 2014.  The 65 MY was released as a filler model between the Uniesse 58 MY and 70 MY.
