A fifteen meter Fairline flybridge yacht was saved from sinking in Stockholm, Sweden for a story reported on the Sjoraddningssallskapet Facebook page on Tuesday ninth September. According to the report on the page the skipper alerted RS Stockholm, with Rescue Queen Silvia giving the first assistance, and is then followed by the Coast Guard, Rescuerunner Björn Sjökvist, and Rescue Sven Salén from RS Värmdö in the saving effort. Upon arrival they instruct the skipper to take the yacht in a nearby beach and shallow water, and then start to look for the water intrusion, and following the success tow the flybridge yacht to a safe harbour for a further inspection.
The yacht in this accident is a Fairline Phantom 50 as designed by Bernard Olesinski produced from 2002 to 2008 in 126 units. The Phantom 50 was a replacement to the Squadron 52, and was replaced by the second generation Fairline Squadron 50.
