New Model: Windy 29 Coho
Presented in the early part of 2013, the new Windy 29 Coho is a natural evolution and replacement of the long standing 28 Ghibli model, and incorporates the Norwegian builder latest design stints. Designer Hans-Jorgen Johnsen was quick to put Windy's freshest looks as shown in other previous latest models as the 31 Zonda, or 26 Kharma; case in point is the similar outside lines, windshield profile, and electric canopy function. Still the new 29 Coho adds new stuff of its own as the three view hull windows in the cabin, which add a yacht feature to the sports aggressive lines of the outside. The 29 Coho is a sports boat still it offers adequate accommodation for a couple down below for a short trip or a weekend cruise thanks to a double berth, separate shower head, and small galley. Power is a Volvo a single engine from 260 up to 370hp units. Twin power options should be available at a later stage.

Project: Princess V48 Open
In May 2013 Plymouth based shipyard Princess Yachts launched their first sports boat designed with the Volvo IPS pods propulsion system, the V48, which is set to make her international debut at the Southampton Boat Show in September. Now for those who want the simplicity of IPS with a true open boating experience, Princess is pleased to announce the launch of the V48 Open. The V48 Open features a spacious open cockpit with generous seating around a teak table, creating the perfect space to enjoy life on deck. There is a further ‘J’ shaped seat forward, adjacent to the twin helm seats providing companion seating when underway. Aft of the cockpit is a large sunbed positioned above the tender garage which can accommodate a three meter jet RIB. An electrically operated sliding sun roof provides versatility to enjoy the complete open boating experience. Like her sister model, the V48 Open’s resin infused hull is designed to quicken the transition to plane, improving efficiency whilst delivering outstanding performance and handling. Combined with the Volvo IPS joystick control, the V48 Open is a highly capable craft both at sea and at close quarters. Below decks, the V48 Open provides accommodation for up to six guests with two large en-suite cabins including a full beam owner’s stateroom amidships and a forward guest cabin, which can be specified with an optional ‘scissor berth’ system to create a double or twin beds as required. Project: Sanlorenzo SD110
Sanlorenzo SD semi displacement line has been one of its most successful range, since this was introduced to high acclaim in 2007 with the 92 model. This new 110 project sits in the middle of the current line in between the 92 and 122 models, and is the third model of the range. The 110 is a three deck super yacht which evokes traditional lines with modern elements. In the two standard plans offered for the SD110 both are a five double guest cabins layout, with an owners master stateroom on the main deck. Three double crew cabins sleeping six are located to fore. Interesting details are the tender garage able to accommodate a five meter tender, and a split part possible in one of the main deck layouts for the aft part of the main saloon becoming part of the cockpit. Power is twin MTU 1468hp engines giving a top speed of 17 and a cruise of 11 knots. Range is 2750 nautical miles at 11 knots.

New Model: Nordhavn N120
The Nordhavn 120 hull number one has undergone successful ocean trials and departed the South Coast Marine factory in Xiamen, China on July 12th. The yacht will be delivered by a crew of staff from Pacific Asian Enterprises, Inc. including Nordhavn’s vice president, Jim Leishman, and Chief of Design, Jeff Leishman. One port of call was scheduled for Hong Kong on July 16th. From there the crossing will take approximately 25 days with an arrival to Vancouver in mid-August. Due to logistics, the sheer mass of the vessel as well as economic factors, it’s been concluded that N120 hull number one will be delivered on her own bottom. With a non-stop range from China to Vancouver running at displacement speed, the decision to “drive” her home was made thoughtfully, however, confidently. After nearly five years from concept to construction, P.A.E. is thrilled and greatly anticipates the impending unveiling of the Nordhavn 120 at the boat shows in the fall of 2013. Our architecture and design team, together with the craftsmen at South Coast, engineering contractors, the phenomenal interior design staff at Destry Darr and countless vendors have cultivated a world class yacht. At the surface, the N120 is a naval engineering feat; as capable as it is luxurious. But the yacht also proves to be a symbol of P.A.E., persevering at a time when the superyacht market is in a virtual tailspin.

Project: Island Pilot 310
Island Pilot presents the project of an entry level 310, taking a fresh approach in creating a smaller, more affordable, economical, motor cruiser. Accommodation wise the 310 presents an island double berth in the bow, with a second cabin with an extra-long double berth. Both cabins are in the bow, next to the head. Immediately across from the head is the pantry with additional storage for provisions. The master has a pair of full-height hanging lockers, a bureau to starboard plus shelves and lockers. The main deck saloon has a raised settee to port, efficient galley to starboard, opening side windows and functional helm with instrument cluster. Double sliding polycarbonate doors open to the aft cockpit, combining both spaces to create a large social area. The roomy aft deck has a comfortable L-shaped settee, steps to the side decks and a door opening to the integrated swim platform. Island Pilot feels that the needs of one cruising couple are not necessarily those of another, that is why the 310 is offered in three different engine set ups suiting explorer go slow, planning speed fans, and semi displacement shafts options. Engines choices start from a single 125hp, go to twin 220hp with line shafts, and end with double stern drives of 300hp. Top speed is over 30 knots with the more powerful engine choice.

New Model: Jeanneau NC14
Jeanneau NC line has received extremely positive feedback since it first appeared in the market on 2010 with the 11 model. Prove to this is that the 11 was soon followed by an NC9 in 2012, and now Jeanneau adds it with the new NC14 flagship. The NC14 is again a design from Garroni who was helped by Jeanneau, and for this model also by British Tony Castro. The NC14 follows what her smaller sister did before her, a fully enclosed sport cruiser with plenty of live aboard features able to make a long period cruise extremely comfortable. Prove to this is for example the lazarette located amidships, which has space for a washing machine, a wine cellar, and a freezer. The interior layout offers two cabins below, and a choice to have a second guest shower head or this to be replaced with a small office in the owners room and a large walk in wardrobe. The main deck is a functional affair with a C-shaped saloon, dinette, and to port side, and a dining table for four to port side. Some nice details making life on-board easier are to be found all around; the sliding door by the helm station to starboard, the fully opening patio aft, sun roof, and nice safe walk deck wider to the right. The Jeanneau NC11 is powered by twin Volvo, from a standard 300hp or optional 370 units with IPS pod drives.
