Two persons and a sport cruiser of eleven meters in length were saved from a fire near Secche di Vada, offshore to Livorno on the morning of Monday eleven August 2025. A Cecina Port Authority vessel assisted the boaters first as they removed them from the vessel, and were later helped by the Livorno Vigili del Fuoco fire fighters who controlled the fire onboard. The fire was ultimately controlled, with the vessel saved and then towed to Cala dei Medici Marina. No injuries were reported with the cause of the blaze not being reported.
The boat in this fire is Mano 37 Gran Sport as designed by Studio Cabes and produced from 2011 to 2013. Mano Marine was founded in 1990 by brothers Gennaro and Rosario Colella, and closed its doors in 2013.
