New Model: Nordhavn N120

The Nordhavn 120 hull number one has undergone successful ocean trials and departed the South Coast Marine factory in Xiamen, China on July 12th. The yacht will be delivered by a crew of staff from Pacific Asian Enterprises, Inc. including Nordhavn’s vice president, Jim Leishman, and Chief of Design, Jeff Leishman. One port of call was scheduled for Hong Kong on July 16th. From there the crossing will take approximately 25 days with an arrival to Vancouver in mid-August. Due to logistics, the sheer mass of the vessel as well as economic factors, it’s been concluded that N120 hull number one will be delivered on her own bottom. With a non-stop range from China to Vancouver running at displacement speed, the decision to “drive” her home was made thoughtfully, however, confidently.  After nearly five years from concept to construction, P.A.E. is thrilled and greatly anticipates the impending unveiling of the Nordhavn 120 at the boat shows in the fall of 2013. Our architecture and design team, together with the craftsmen at South Coast, engineering contractors, the phenomenal interior design staff at Destry Darr and countless vendors have cultivated a world class yacht. At the surface, the N120 is a naval engineering feat; as capable as it is luxurious. But the yacht also proves to be a symbol of P.A.E., persevering at a time when the superyacht market is in a virtual tailspin.
