Project: Island Pilot 310

Island Pilot presents the project of an entry level 310, taking a fresh approach in creating a smaller, more affordable, economical, motor cruiser.  Accommodation wise the 310 presents an island double berth in the bow, with a second cabin with an extra-long double berth. Both cabins are in the bow, next to the head. Immediately across from the head is the pantry with additional storage for provisions. The master has a pair of full-height hanging lockers, a bureau to starboard plus shelves and lockers. The main deck saloon has a raised settee to port, efficient galley to starboard, opening side windows and functional helm with instrument cluster. Double sliding polycarbonate doors open to the aft cockpit, combining both spaces to create a large social area. The roomy aft deck has a comfortable L-shaped settee, steps to the side decks and a door opening to the integrated swim platform.  Island Pilot feels that the needs of one cruising couple are not necessarily those of another, that is why the 310 is offered in three different engine set ups suiting explorer go slow, planning speed fans, and semi displacement shafts options. Engines choices start from a single 125hp, go to twin 220hp with line shafts, and end with double stern drives of 300hp.  Top speed is over 30 knots with the more powerful engine choice.
