Project: Sundeck 750

Sundeck presents the project for the 750 explorer yacht model.  A design of Zuccheri, who has so far designed all the Sundeck line since its debut in 2014, the 750 is based on the 700 model platform, with an extended stern area, which adds further space to the bathing stern area, transforming it in a beach club.  This area is also added with an aft looking settee for four persons. Inside the Sundeck 750 follows the layout of the 700 with a four cabins lower deck, and two crew cabins for three persons aft. The main deck in the Sundeck 750 is offered in two layouts, open plan galley to port side of the helm station forward, or enclosed galley to starboard in the middle of the saloon, dining area. The Sundeck 750 is powered by standard FPT 1000hp, or Man 1200hp for speeds up 25 and 27 knots respectively.

Project: Sundeck 400 Inboard

Following the success of the 430, Sundeck present the project for a new entry level 400 model, what the Italian builder calls an all-weather, seaworthy sport cruiser that fills the needs of both the cruiser and fisherman alike, and to be available in both inboard stern drive or twin or triple outboard power. The Sundeck 400 can be a great day boat too, suitable as a getaway weekender, thanks to the two staterooms and head below deck. As with all Sundeck, the configuration and design of the space and furnishings can be custom built to complement an owners boating lifestyle. For example the aft large cockpit can be made in an open uncluttered layout for the blue water fishing enthusiast, fitted with rod holders, outriggers, with the walk-around deck adding to the capabilities of landing fish. The central helm station and cockpit lounge are protected by the fiberglass hardtop, offering shade and protecting both the passengers and equipment from the elements. The 400 features also a first for Sundeck, offering a twin step performance hull which powered by the large triple Mercury 400hp outboards on the Outboard version can reach top speeds up to fifty knots.  For the Sundeck 400 Inboard, standard power is twin Volvo 380hp, and or optional 440hp couple duo-prop stern drives, with this last option giving max speed up to forty knots.

The unique designed helm station and cockpit lounge are conveniently protected by the carbon fibre built hard top and superstructure, which contains a fan coil unit for climate control. Project: Sundeck 550 Sport

For the 2017 fall boat show season Sundeck has presented interesting projects set to expand its offer to a new customer base.  Following the success of the standard 550 a trawler inspired modern explorer yacht, the Italian company and designer Maurizio Zuccheri present the Sport version, based on the same hull, with an identical length and same five meter beam, and a totally different sportier super structure.  As is usual to Sundeck the 550 Sport is again a very semi custom product with Italian builder offering a wide variety of layout choices for the 550 Sport lower and main deck; two or three cabins, two or three shower heads, and lower galley also available in the two cabins version.  Sundeck is also saying the 550 Sport will have a wide variety of cruise speeds possible, from long range displacement cruise, to a fast thirty knot cruise.

Project: Sundeck 430 Open

Presenting itself in 2014 with the Explorer Yacht 550 model, Sundeck yachts shows the project for a new 430 Open model.  A new course for the young builder with a lot of experienced staff behind it, the new Sundeck 430 Open is like the explorer yachts of the Italian builder a design of Zuccheri. Sundeck says the new 430 Open is a mix of sport-fishing design solutions mixed into a cruiser.  So far I am not sure about this claim since the bench settee at transom and integrated bathing platform are considered as nonsense to the sport-fisherman.  Non the less the Sundeck 430 Open seems to make an interesting offer for those who want a large practical open sport yacht with a lot of safety features put into the design.  See the deep walk around side deck, and T-top style hardtop covered central helm station. But the interesting solutions do not stop outside, and the Sundeck 430 Open also offers a three double cabin interior, and an important range thanks to the 2000 liters fuel capacity.

Project: Sundeck 850

Sundeck has been a yacht builder to watch since the launch of its first 550 model in 2015.  Built to order this model has been a success for Sundeck and since then the company has come with three other projects aimed at expanding the range in both directions, larger and smaller.  The Sundeck 850 is the largest project from the Italian builder and sees it enter super yacht territory with a size of 26 meters in length over all.  Designed as all the other Sundeck by Maurizio Zuccheri , the 850 has a family feeling to the other smaller models.  The Sundeck 850 will feature a semi planning hull, which powered by twin 1200hp engines can reach speeds up to 26 knots.  Cruising speeds can vary from 18 knots, to 14 knots or a long range 9 knots which should give a 2400 nautical miles distance.

Project: Sundeck 670

Starting with a project of the Sundeck 550 in 2015, this Italian boat builder is slowly expanding its range to a complete offer in the explorer cruiser yacht segment with the just launched 450 entry level to the project for a new eighty feet flagship.  This project of the 670 is the next natural step up for Sundeck following the success of the 550, and sees designer Maurizio Zuccheri expand a family feeling look and the small ship features of the smaller model into larger dimensions. Interestingly for an explorer yacht the Sundeck 670 surprises for its exterior spaces with a lot of thought going into making the fore deck a prime entertainment area.  The Sundeck 670 offers interesting performance numbers with the standard twin 850hp engines reaching max speeds of 27 knots, and a 17 knots cruise giving a four hundred nautical mile range.  Slow your speed further at nine knots and your range becomes 1500 nautical miles.

Project: Sundeck 450

After having received positive feedback with the 550, Sundeck now looks at expanding its range with the introduction of larger and smaller projects aiming to complete its line up.  One of the new projects is for a smaller Sundeck 450. Designed by Maurizio Zuccheri the Sundeck 450 is a miniature version of the 550 in all respects with similar looks outside, same practical details, and a smaller less three meters size.  Unlike the 550, the Sundeck 450 will not feature as many options for its layout with only one option for the three double cabin lower deck available.  This being the choice to have one of the cabins change from a twin set up to that of a double french berth.

New Model: Sundeck 550

The first Sundeck 550 has been finally launched in August.  Designed by Zuccheri the new 550 is crafted by expert hands and built to high quality materials.  Maurizio for the first Sundeck went for a sober elegance and  rich stylish details.  Sundeck 550 is a fast and economical trawler thanks to the high efficiency hull. At full load, and 7 knots sets new records of economy consuming only one liter per mile, while at 9 knots the pointer stops at 1.7 liters per mile.  Fully loaded, the top speed is 25 knots and cruising speed range goes from 14 to 20 knots.  The Sundeck 550 is a semi-custom "100% Made in Italy" yacht and it is the first of a series of three trawlers from 16 to 24 meters by Sundeck.  It sets new benchmarks in terms of roominess, functionality and navigation qualities, as well as offering the owner the possibility of configuring and set up his boat as he wishes.  Sundeck offers three main deck, and four lower deck plan choices for this. The volumes of this yacht, are considerably higher than the average of her category, remaining inside of the standard dimensions as to what regards maximum beam, leads her to excel in terms of interior and exterior spaciousness.  This characteristic has allowed, for example, to realize an airy living room maintaining very large external passages. To understand the true dimensions of this yacht, just think that other boats of the same length may be easily contained within her shape.  The standard main deck layout offers an astern galley to port side in a C-shape design, serving both the aft deck and fore part of the saloon. But other options for the galley include a smaller cook top galley to starboard, or a lower deck position. Below deck there are multiple configurations, standard plan is a three cabins each with its own bathroom and separate shower. Other options are four cabins, like in the first hull, or a two cabins plus office choice. In the four cabins option choice the owners room move to fore from midships.  Sundeck 550 is offered with three engine options by FPT which start from 450hp and go up to 570hp units,

Project: Sundeck 550

Sundeck is a new Italian boat builder with a solid base of experienced people from the nautical sector behind it. The company has recently presented three interesting projects; 550, 700, and 850 all of which are designed by Italian naval architect Maurizio Zuccheri. The 550 project has a familiar looks for those who navigate around Italian waters, as this model does resemble in many ways a previous Zuccheri project that of the 53 Maine by the today closed shipyard Estensi.  Choice will be an important element of the 550 with three options available for the main deck, to four options below. The different layouts are endless and Zuccheri did look for every possible alternative; from a four double guest cabin plan, to a three bedrooms plus office, or a two cabins with enclosed lower galley option. Same goes for the main deck with the option of an astern galley, or a twin saloon plus dining plan. Power will come from twin 450hp engines which should give max speeds of 24 knots, and a cruise from 12 to 20 knots. Range will be a max of one thousand nautical miles at the most efficicent cruise speeds and consumption of 2500 liters of fuel.
