The Palm Beach International Boat Show offered the perfect stage for the Overmarine Group to unveil the Mangusta GranSport 50 project. Designed by Alberto Mancini for exterior and Ausonio and his P.L.A.N.A studio responsible for naval architecture the GranSport 50 is a second in size Mangusta GranSport model sitting behind the much appreciated GranSport 54 model, what is also Overmarine largest yacht to date so far sold in five units. In the GrandSport 50 Mancini, who designed all the GranSport to date has put new features, with the most noticeable of these being the new integrated raised pilot house, but also larger glazing in the living areas, and an open beach style stern which expands in size with the the drop down side bulk-heads. The raised pilot house design also brings a new space which can be ordered as a sixth cabin with unique panoramic views, a feature not only unique to the GranSport 50 but also in the fifty meter size. The Mangusta GranSport 50 is to be powered by twin 2600hp MTU engines for a top speed up to twenty knots and a 4,200 nautical miles range at cruise.

Project: Nimbus 495 Coupe
During the 2026 Dusseldorf boat show, Nimbus announced the 495 Coupe project, a showing to its roots for the hard-top cruiser which defined the Swedish boat builder into its expansive story. Coupé has been with Nimbus since 1968 as it presented the 26 model in that year, a type of sport cruiser which was born with that concept, and Nimbus always evolved it in nearly sixty years of boat building success. Even when open boats were in huge demand Nimbus recognized the Coupe hard-top boat perfection for the Northern climates, which defined its success; protected when conditions demand it, open when the weather allows. The 495 Coupé, based on the 495 Flybridge platform which arrived in 2024, is the largest expression of this philosophy: designed for extended life aboard without the need for crew. You lose the flybridge and for this the 495 Coupe gains a large skylight, electric soft top for sun protection, and a air draft of under 3.5 metres, suited for those who want to boat in the inland waterways of Northern Europe.

New Model: Itama 70
Itama has launched the first 70 unit on May 21 at Ferretti Group’s new production site in Ravenna. Designed by Vallicelli for exterior, and IdeaeItalia for interior, the 70 is the second completely new Itama in less to a year, following the 54 which arrived this time last year. For Itama fans this is a good moment, considering that for thirteen years no new Itama, excluding the S and RS updates on the 45 and 62 models arrived. For this second new Itama, Ferretti Group changed design duties to Vallicelli, who replaces Tommaso de Luca after designing the 54 model. For the 70 Vallicelli inspired himself to the 62 model and the Marco Casali design's, as started in the Ferretti Group era onwards to 2005. The details here are all Itama; flash fore deck, classic sun-pad with dinette cockpit, and wrap around wind-screen. The lower deck offers a three cabins six berths accommodation layout, with two large midships and forward staterooms, and third cabin with double berth to port side, with a galley and dinette in between the cabins. A single berth crew cabin is located aft. The Itama 70 is standard powered by twin MAN 1400hp and or optional 1550hp engines with line shaft propulsion. The first unit was powered by the large MAN 1550hp for top speeds up to forty knots.

Bertram New Web Site
Legendary boat builder Bertram founded in 1961 presents its new web-site. The story of Bertram starts in 1960 when the 31 Moppie is launched and raced by Richard Bertram during the Miami Nassau of that year, winning the event in one of the worst sea conditions in the race history and setting a new record of under four minutes to the previous one. It is a year later to this that Richard Bertram presents the fiberglass build 31 Moppie a production run of the racing prototype from 1960 which was build of wood. A year after the launch of Bertram's debut production model, Richard sells the company to Nautec. This will be the start of many ownership changes into the years as in 1968 Nautec sells to the Whittaker Corporation, in 1985 Investcorp buy 45% share interests and finalizes a full purchase in 1987, in 1989 New York investment company G.L Ohrstorm, 1992 sees Gruppo Varasi take over, Intek buys the company in 1997, and then Ferretti Group take over in 1998 till 2015. Gavio the new owners purchase Bertram without its Miami facility in 2015, and then buy a new Tampa Florida location, and start a plan to launch completely new models debuting with the 35 as designed by Michael Peters, a model which reminisces the legendary 31. Apart from the 1960 legendary start win Bertram has had many highlights in its years from winning races; 1962 Miami Nassau, 1964 Viareggio Bastia, 1965 Cowes Torquay and Miami Key West, all these with Richard on the helm who retires in 1966 but returns for a small stint in the 1969 Miami Nassau. Other Bertram highlights are the numbers of its construction building its thousand hull in 1971. Bertram has also had important flagships in its run from the 58 Convertible launched in 1977 with an aluminium super structure, the 72 Convertible in 1989, and the 800 in 2010. Bertram has also presented some models which are the benchmarks from the 1960 31 which was the model of the brand and produced for sixteen years to 1860 units, to the 28 launched in 1971 built in 2200 units, to the 1981 launched 54 which sets a bench mark in 50 plus feet sportfish yachts. Currently Bertram has six models staring with the 2021 launched 28 CC, to the 61 flagship launched in 2018. Bertram latest model is the 34 CC which arrived in the fall of 2024.
