The 50 Billfish builds on the success of the 37, 38 and 46 models and with its increased size, offers high fishing functionality and convertible-level comfort in an innovative, versatile package. Since launching the Billfish series in 2017, Viking has delivered a combined ninety boats across the three models, establishing a unique market segment for owners seeking sporty, easily maintained yachts ideal for fish-focused owner-operators. New Model: Tasman 80

Tasman is a rather fresh down under Australian boat builder which was founded in 2021, and has in 2024 presented this new 80 model.   The 80 is Tasman second model, following the small five meter 50 center console, and was brought to attention by the YouTube review on Dans Boat Life channel.  The Tasman 80 is one of those boats which should get those who want a substantive build first excited; hull design, strong construction and the rest later, think about a small boat in big yacht clothing.  Basically the Tasman 80 is a very capable smallish sport fish cruiser first, which shines in its sea keeping ability and bullet proof construction.  But do not be mistaken, the Tasman 80 besides its sportfish rough sea capability credentials, is also an interesting family adventure cruiser, with a cabin offering a double Vee berth accommodation forward with a shower head to port side.  Some other cruising amenities can be fitted under the hard-top section of the main deck.  The Tasman 80 other interesting feature is that she is sold as a trailable boat, although at a beam of 2.80 meters this will not be possible everywhere, and a weight around to four tons you will also need some good pulling power to take her around.  The Tasman 80 is standard powered by a single Yanmar 370hp which gives a 34 knots top speed, and a cruise of 24 this delivering an important 360 nautical miles range.  A Tasman 80 with twin outboards is also available though of the seven hulls build so far, all have been inboard.

LOA - 8 m (26.2ft)
