A classic eleven meter trawler cruiser titled m/y Lurker with two persons onboard ended aground in the beach near the 5000 block of Ocean Front Walk, Marina del Rey at around 20:00 hours of Sunday 29 September. Local authorities came down to the scene, with both onboard persons being uninjured, although the captain of Lurker was taken into custody for suspicion of helming the boat under influence. Officials are working to remove the boat, although two weeks after the accident she was still there, unfortunately salvaged and vandalized.
M/y Lurker looks to be a West coast trawler build of wood and similar to the Wanderer class model as designed by William Garden and produced in a 42 foot model.
