It is the renaissance model from Sealine and a statement by its since a year owners Hanse Group, this is the project of the S330.  This new Sealine model brings an important message to the brand fans, in a size always very important for the x-British brand. The S330 will be a six berth sport cruiser of high interest thanks to what looks on paper a spacious arrangement both above and below decks. Below the S330 will have a traditional four plus two layout; double Vee berth forward offered in closed cabin or open version, double berth cabin at midships, and an L-shaped settee to port side. A galley and a head are located to starboard. Outside the S330 has its strongest point thanks to a flash deck and a C-shaped settee and double forward looking settee to port side, with a helm and wet-bar opposite.  Power options will be all diesel; single 330hp, or twin 170 or 220hp Volvo powered, stern drive propulsion choices.

New Model: Riviera 6000 Sport Yacht

The new 6000 Sport Yacht from Riviera takes the mantle as the most European looking of all the models from the down under boat builder, making a huge statement on the type of clients it wants to attract.  Taking the flagship role and replacing the 5800 of the Sport Yacht range, the 6000 is a fully enclosed hard top express, which makes the main deck the living part of life on-board. Latest design trends and more abound on the 6000 Sport Yacht. For example its aft deck rewrites the plan in a very original layout, with two settees; an L-shape dinette to port and chaise lounge to starboard located in a mezzanine looking outwards style. Originally the stern bulk head is reserved as a spacious barbecue wet bar area.  Inside we have an astern galley, C-shape dinette to port with sofa opposite, and a helm-station to starboard. Below deck space abounds on the 6000 Sport Yacht and presents a three double cabins three shower heads standard plan, or a four double cabin three heads optional layout. The fourth double bunk cabin located to port side takes space from a C-shape settee as featured in the standard plan. Very interesting is also the working room located in between the midships full beam owners cabin, and the engine room of which it features direct access. The Rivera 6000 Sport Yacht is twin Volvo 725hp powered, with IPS pod propulsion. Max speeds are 31 knots, with a 28 cruise, this giving a range of 268 nautical miles.

Project: Sunseeker 65 Manhattan

Sunseeker presents the project for a new 65 Manhattan model, with those of you being around at the currently held Southampton 2014 boat show able to see and touch hull number one. The Sunseeker 65 Manhattan continues the recent call of the British Poole based builder to cover nearly everything which is not structural with windows. That means a lot of light inside, even when you do not want it! She will be a four double cabins three heads arrangement below motor yacht. The fourth cabin gets the small size for being a twin bunk berth.  In the main deck Sunseeker presents a two step split level saloon, with an enclosed galley located behind the helm as standard. A more US style open version is also available. Interestingly Sunseeker who is usually the first of the Brits to adapt Mediterranean design trends  has so far not gone into the astern galley concept on any of its yachts.  Worth of note in the 65 Manhattan will also be an incredibly spacious flybridge. Power will be four engine choices with the most note worthy being the twin Volvo 900hp on IPS1200 forward looking pod drives.  The 65 Manhattan is so far the largest Sunseeker on pod drives. Other engine options on shaft drives start from MAN 1000hp, Cat 1150hp, and MTU 1200hp.

New Model: Elan 30 Power

Following the style of its predecessors 35, 42 and 48, once again Tony Castro manage to design a hard top family sports cruiser of recognizable sports lines, the Elan 30 Power. With just under ten meters in length and a generous beam, Elan Power 30 offers a large cockpit with galley, equipped with a variety of options: gas or electric cooker, and or grill plus an eighty liters fridge. A comfortable settee of a modern design accommodates up to six adults. Interior of Elan Power 30 is not only equipped with modern furniture finished in oak wood, but is also very practical. The galley is divided into two working surfaces. The effect of comfort and spaciousness is intensified by two saloon ceiling openings, allowing a lot of natural daylight to enter the saloon. Two very spacious cabins, both with double berths, can accommodate four persons. Wardrobes and hanging cabinets of the front cabin are suitable for storage of personal belongings. Another luxury feature is certainly the head approachable from both master cabin and the saloon.

Caterpillar Marine unveiled new power ratings for the Cat C175 propulsion engine for commercial vessels at the 2014 SMM Exhibition, held September 9-12 in Hamburg, Germany. Designed specifically as a high speed power solution for commercial applications including ocean going and harbor tugs, the C175-16 propulsion engine is now available with ratings up to 3467hp at 1800 rpm. The new ratings extend Caterpillar Marine's high-speed engine power range beyond the company's already industry-leading 3516C HD engine. Cat C175 engine platforms with the new ratings are available to order now from the global Cat dealer network. Ideal for large, high speed commercial vessels, the C175 engine utilizes proven ACERT™ technology to optimize turbocharging and aftercooling. Efficient combustion reduces engine wear and maximizes fuel, driving the C175-16 to pull the maximum amount of energy from each injection event. The engine also features the Cat common rail fuel system enabling low emissions at all levels and requires no aftertreatment to comply with regulations. In addition to an 1,000-hour oil change interval, thermo-laminated heat shields save time and money during service. With a bore of 175 mm and a stroke of 220 mm, the C175-16 is highly efficient while providing increased propulsion output in a high speed engine platform.
