CRN New Web Site

CRN presents its new virtual global World wide web showroom. Founded by Sanzio Nicolini in Ancona Italy in 1963, CRN is the acronym for Costruzioni e Riparazioni Navali and since 1999 has been owned by the Ferretti Group. Up until Ferretti Group ownership CRN build both commercial and yacht vessels, with the yachts becoming a bigger part of its builds more into time.  In 1964 CRN delivers its first build with the 9.6 meter Galatea, made of steel and aluminium and still to date the smallest boat made.  Galatea was followed by a larger 12.5m Delfino II in the same year, with the sixties being marked by a total of 27 builds with the 34,4 meter Begheera launched in 1969 being the largest.  CRN starts the seventies with the launch of the 23 metre Super Conero, and eight commissioned builds for Riva; six 21,61 Marco Polo and two 30m Vespucci one of which will be Carlo Riva's personal yacht. In 1978 CRN goes again a step bigger and above forty meters in size with the 47,2m Fath Al Kahr, followed by the slightly bigger 48m Santa Maria a year later. The eighties start with a larger build with the 54m TR Brennero, followed by the 32,80m F100 build for Gianni Agnelli to a design of Gerhard Gilgenast.  In total seven builds above fifty meters are made in the eighties including of which will be the 61m m/y Il Vagabundo.  The nineties continue to lead CRN to bigger and larger builds, and in 1991 celebrates its construction no.100 to another new largest build to date with Awal II a 65,30 meters super yacht, its largest build till 2010.  This is followed with more custom super yachts two of which over fifty meters, and in 1999 concedes with the change of ownership and CRN becoming part of the Ferretti Group. The new millennium starts with the delivery of the 61m m/y Nvmptia, the last craft directed by Nicolini, designed by Scanu and featuring a rounded canoe stern. With CRN the Ferretti Group strategies to re-enter into semi-custom builds with the 43 and 46 meter super yacht series, and also enters composite building first because of the Ferretti Custom Line 128 which was build in Ancona and gets rebranded as CRN of which six units will be build from 2004 to 2011, and again followed by the Navetta 43 produced from 2007 to 13 in eight units.  Under Ferretti Group, CRN continues its push into bigger sizes, with three custom 60 meters launched from 2006 to 2009, and builds its largest build to date in 2013 hull #129 m.y Chopi Chopi designed by Giovanni Zuccon. Five more builds above seventy meters are made in between 2010 and 2023, including the 2019 launched 79m Zuccon designed hull #135. Cantieri di Pisa New Web Site

Cantieri di Pisa presents its new World wide web showroom.  Founded by Gino Bini and Antonio Sostegni unofficially in 1945, and officially in 1956 Cantieri di Pisa started life in the commercial harbour of Pisa, and will move in 1959 on the limits of the Arno river, a place which as at today is still home.  The first yachts are wooden sailing yachts; the 20mt Tyrsa in 1945 and the 30mt Kerilos will follow in 1950.  In 1961 the 10 meters Jupiter is launched, starting the motor boat semi-series which interestingly are always named to celestial bodies, constellations, and planets from our solar system; Akhir, Kaitos, Kitapha, Pegasus, Polaris, and Saturno the names being used.  Pierluigi Spadolini will be the architect of all the Pisa motor boats up till the early noughties with Carlo Galeazzi taking design duties in 2008 with the Akhir 108 model. Cantieri di Pisa had various owners onwards from 2001 when German fund investor Dresdner Kleiwort Capital takes 51% of ownership, with Bini and Sostegni keeping the remaining.  In 2004 Camuzzi Group takes 91% of ownership and follows a year later with a total buyout.  Onward from 2010 Cantieri di Pisa enters in crisis with various owners being rumoured of buying out the company every season, eventually Alessandro Falcai buys the yard in 2015 and sells to Sea Finance in 2018.  Since 2021 Cantieri di Pisa is owned by current owner Enrico Gennasio from Alfagomma Group, a fittings firm from Lombardy in Italy who branches out in all industrial sectors.  Over its half a century plus of history Cantieri di Pisa has build over 600 yachts, in semi-custom or custom made to order builds, at first its construction was strictly in wood, but in the nineties the yacht builder made a switch to fiberglass, first as a choice and then totally switching to the material.  The Akhir series which launched with the wooden 16 motor yacht in 1972 proved a successful line which expanded over the years in always bigger sizes and updating styling with the S update to 22 model in 1986 proving a popular one.  Another timeless looking classic Cantieri di Pisa is the seventies introduced Kitaplha 15 which still gets admiring views whenever one gets to see a well conditioned unit.  Cantieri di Pisa largest ever build is the Carlo Galeazzi designed Akhir 153 which launched in 2012 and built in only one unit.  Currently Cantieri di Pisa offers five models in three lines, starting with the Tender 50 of the Chase Boat line, going to the 80 GT and 80 Veloce of the Fast Commuter, and the Akhir 110, 122, and 140 of the Flybridge series.  Cantieri di Pisa new web site takes you around with the following buttons; Home, The Fleet, Custom Division, Services, History, and Contact.  Cantieri di Pisa is also on social media with bottom page links taking you to its Facebook, Instagram, and Linkedin pages.

Beneteau New Web Site

Beneteau headlining brand of Groupe Beneteau and one of the most popular production boat builders updates its global web showroom. Beneteau was founded 1884 in Vendee by fully qualified ship builder Benjamin Beneteau, who sets up a boat yard with the family name building trawlers for fisherman. 24 years pass and as any builder who beats the age of time Benjamin sets provocation in motion when in 1910 he builds the first engine boat called "Vainqueur des Jaloux", Conqueror of the Jealous in English which sets a lot of drama and also gets accused this is scaring the fish away. In 1928 Andre Beneteau son of Benjamin takes over yard management duties, and two years later he shows the way forward building "Le Jeannot" a faster design trawler which he christens Poursuivante, translated in English to Pursuer. It is 1945 the ending of World War II, which prompts Vendee and the fishing fleet of the area needing a total rebuild, and Andre pursues his creativity by presenting the first trawler boats with bridges. This is followed in 1955 with more tuna fisherman thinking creating the first live bait storage. In 1964 the third generation Beneteau boat builders Annette Beneteau Roux, brother Andre, and husband Louis-Claude Roux take the helm pursuing the road into recreational boats and the use of fiberglass as a building material. A year later passes and Beneteau exhibits for the first time at the Paris boat show presenting the Peches Promenade concept of fishing pleasure boats. 1967 Beneteau follows more its production instincts launching the Forban and Galion models which achieve great success and are followed by another break through of Baroudeur a pleasure cruiser with living aboard comfort. 1973 sees Andre Beneteau responsible for design present the 32 Evasion first two masted yacht from the brand, and two years later this is followed by what the critics call one of his best projects the Astroblade. Between this in 1974 Beneteau launches a still today model range, its first planning motor boat the Antares, and in 1976 the 30 First designed by Andre Mauric is presented. This also marking a line which is still as at today existent. 1981 sees designer German Frers present the 42 First, recognized at the time as one of the most stable sailboats. In 1982 Beneteau is recognized as the largest production boat builder of the time. A century has passed since its founding in 1984 and Beneteau goes public on the Paris stock exchange. This is followed by more production facilities two years later when Beneteau opens a new building plant in Marion, South Carolina USA. 1987 sees the launch of another line with the Oceanis designed by Philippe Briand, and another innovative 35.5 First with project by Philippe Starck and Jean Berret is launched. In 1992 Groupe Beneteau is founded today featuring twelve boat building brands: Beneteau, Jeanneau, Lagoon, Prestige, CNB, Monte Carlo Yachts, 2014 acquired Four Winns, Glastron, Wellcraft, Scarab all USA brands, and in 2018 Delphia from Poland and Seascape from Slovenia. Pearl New Web Site

British boat builder Pearl Motor Yachts presents its new web site. Founded in 1998 by Iain Smallridge Pearl started up by developing a line based on the Northern, British looking motor cruiser featuring the master aft cabin typical of the classic UK design. Pearl started up by presenting first a 45 model in the Southampton show of 1999, which was followed in the next four years by a smaller 41, and 43. In the year 2000 Pearl moved to Stratford in Avon, and in 2002 Tony Whittaker, a professional engineer, renowned RYA instructor, and boat owner took the helm of the company. This ownership change took Pearl to the next level and family Whittaker commissioned designs for the next model to renowned designers Bill Dixon, and Evan K. Marshall who presented the ground breaking 55 at the Southampton show of 2003, this model later evolved into the 60 becoming Pearl's best selling yacht. Today Pearl is World wide distributed and builds four Motor and Super Yachts from eighteen to 29 meters designed by Bill Dixon outside and Kelly Hoppen inside.  The Pearl range starts with the 62, 72 launched in 2022, the upcoming 82 project which replaces the 80, and the 95 flagship model launched in 2018. Pearl's web showroom takes you around with the following buttons; Models, Configurator, Inventory, News and Events, Dealer, and Enquiries.  Pearl is also on Social Media with a link at bottom left of the page taking you to its Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages.

Huckins New Web Site

Huckins presents its new World wide web showroom. Still a family owned and managed business Huckins is today operated by the founders grand daughter Cindy Purcell and her husband Buddy Purcell, who before marrying Cindy worked with Huckins from 1971 onwards. Founded in 1928 by 1886 Boston born native Frank Pembroke Huckins in Jacksonville, Florida, starting straight away with an innovative driven focus. Frank came from a family running a Lumberyard business, and shows his innovative spirit, inventing one of the first planning hulls calling it the Quadraconic and with it develops and patents wood lamination methods, what will be called as Fairform Flyers. In the same 1928 year as the founding Huckins delivers his first hull #1 a 42 foot capable of reaching twenty knots with a pair of 125hp diesel engines sold to Goodrich, the tyre manufacturer.  In 1946 Huckins moves to its current location on the Ortega river.  In 1960 Huckins starts the cold moulding building method by starting to use fiberglass sheets over mahogany build hulls and later on covering them with resin.  In December 1968 Huckins launches the largest sportfish yacht of the time the 80 foot Sportman 80 hull #396, which is also the second largest Huckins build to date.  In 1976 Huckins builds the largest cored hull of the time using Airex closed-cell PVC for the Motoryacht 76 custom build yacht.  In 1984 Huckins build the largest outboard powered yacht the Outboard 50 yacht powered by four outboards and reaching speeds up to 33 knots.  This is followed two years later with the launch of Yachtfisherman 78, a 23 meter motor yacht with Arneson surface drives.  Huckins largest build to date was the 1980 launched Sportcruiser 86.  In 1996 Huckins introduces the classic looking semi-production Sportsman, Atlantic, and Ortega 44 models based on the lines of the models from the 1950s.  Today two of these three models are still in production along with the 2020 introduced Sportsman 38, Sportfisherman 44, Wombat 45, and Limwood 56 flagship model.  Huckins website takes you around with the following buttons; New Construction, Pre-Owned, Service and Parts, Company, News, Video, Gallery, and Contact.  Huckins is also on social media with top right buttons taking you to its; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube pages.

Fairline New Web Site

Fairline one of Britain's famous pleasure boat and yacht builders presents its new World web showroom. The story of Fairline starts in 1963 when Jack Newington purchases unused gravel pits by the river Nene and transforms them into Oundle marina. Four years later to this in 1967 the first Fairline 19 feet river cruiser is produced in fiberglass. Seven years after the first boat is built the 32 Phantom is produced which is followed in 1977 by the 40, the longest ever produced Fairline in time model making eleven years of production till the final Mk.IV version. In 1981 Fairline produces another successful model with the aft cabin 36 Turbo, which will also mark the start of Bernard Olseinski as head designer and naval architect lasting till 2012.  Olesinski will for 31 years design all Fairline hull models, replaced in 2012 by Vripack. 1985 marks another important Fairline evolution with the presentation of the first generation Targa 33, a name which since the nineties represents all the sports series within the brand. After knocking on the yacht world in 1986 with the 50, in 1991 Fairline presented the 62 Squadron, a name which becomes a series for the large yachts and from 2010 will represent all the flybridge models.  In 2001 Fairline expands to a new 60,000 square foot facility fully completed two years later. In 2003 Fairline makes two important milestones; the launch of it's ten thousand boat a 65 Squadron, and the launch of the Squadron 74 flagship, which in 2007 evolved as the 78 Custom and is the largest build to date produced till 2018 for 115 units. In 2004 Fairline presents the new Gran Turismo hard top version of its Targa series, with the launch of the first generation 62. By 2012 Fairline had build over 12000 boats this number reached in 2010 with the delivery of a second generation 55 Squadron.  Fairline has over the years received various prizes; 1986 and 2008 Queens Award for Export, 2007 the Targa 38 and Squadron 68 and in 2020 the F//Line 33 win IPC Motorboat of the Year, Targa 63/65 GTO in 2017 and Targa 43/45 GTO in 2018 and Squadron 68 in 2019 win the World Yacht Trophies.  After the retirement of founder owner Sam Newington in 1996 Fairline had many owners first sold to Renwick Group, then in 2005 to 3i Investments, and 2011 to Better Capital. In the fall of 2015 Fairline goes in administration with two British resident Russians Alexander Volov and Igor Glyanenko buying it in early 2016, in 2020 RiverRock buys a majority stake, which in 2021 sells to Hannover with the Russian duo still believed to be minor share holders.  After 2016 and the new Russian ownership Fairline has been reinventing itself, first giving design duties to Italian Alessandro Mancini, and then back in 2021 returning it fully inhouse to Andy Pope who penned most of the models from 1993 to 2014.  Fairline currently offers thirteen models into four series; F-Line, Targa, Phantom, and Squadron, which start at 33 feet with the F//Line 33 introduced in 2019 and go up to the Squadron 68, with its latest model being the 2022 launched Phantom 65. Fairline's new website takes you around with the following buttons; Yachts, Find a Dealer, Latest News, Events, Destinations, Playlists, Pre-Owned, Our Story, Fairline Marina, Contact Us, Careers, Dealership Opportunities, Privacy Policy, and Terms and Conditions.  Fairline is also on social media with buttons at the bottom of the page taking you to its Linkedin, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram pages.

Sasga New Web Site

Sasga Yachts presents its new World wide web showroom. Sasga is the creation of Juan Luis Sastre founded in 2010, but has roots which start much further in the past to that.  The start is in 1978 when Astilleros Menorca is founded, focusing on boat repair and the building of the Lluat traditional Balearic island fishing boat.  In 1997 a turn around happens when the Menorquin 55 a ten meter in length later renamed as the 110 is launched, this starts the way for the cruisers and yachts inspired range, and is followed by the 150 model in 1998.  In 2001 Menorquin becomes a family run company with Jose Luis Sastre taking the helm, which he will sell in 2006 to a private investment firm.  In 2010 following the ending of a clause denying Sastre to build boats for two years Sasga is opened, and as with the old continues the concept of the Menorcan Lluat traditional boat converted to a cruiser and yacht return. Sasga currently offers six models which start with the 34 HT, and go up to the 68 FB flagship. The Sasga models are designed by Ingo Toledo from Barracuda who gave a sense of modern looks to the traditional captivating lines. Sasga new website is available in English, Spanish, French, and Italian and takes you around with the following buttons; Models, About Us, News, Dealers, Contact, Brokerage, and Private Area. Grand Banks New Web Site

Grand Banks unveils a new World wide web virtual showroom site. Grand Banks started operation in 1956 as American Marine Limited founded by Robert J. Newton and sons John and Whit in Honk Kong. But the start was not about a trawler yacht, as its first jobs it built custom Sparkman and Stephens, William Gardner, Nat Herreshoff, and Ray Hunt designed sailing yachts. In 1962 the Newton's commissioned Kenneth Smith a 36 feet humble cruising boat with work-boat like looks, which will be named Spray. This 36 Classic was a turn around for the Newton's and with it came a change from building custom sailing yachts to this traditional looking explorer cruiser.  Launched in 1964 the 36 Classic was produced till 2004 and was followed in the same year by a smaller 32 Sedan, with this series taking the name of Heritage and totalling 22 models in a production run which lasted till 2016 and included a one off 80 model launched in 1975. In 1973 Grand Banks starts switching all its models to fiberglass construction. 1993 marks an important move to Grand Banks launching the Eastbay series designed by previous collaborator Ray Hunt, and inspired to the Down East lobster boats. The Eastbay started with the 38 EX and up till today it has totalled sixteen models, including the current 44 launched in 2016 and upcoming 60 model. In 2001 the Aleutian larger yacht series was introduced with the 64, and in fourteen years it featured seven different models from the 2010 two year produced 53 to the 76 RP produced 2010 till 2012. In 2014 Grand Banks started a new path when it bought out Palm Beach motor yachts and CEO Mark Richards took over the helm.  After Mark Richards took over he changed the traditional GB explorer line, and reinvented it with V-warp hull shape, and redefined exterior looks, starting all this with the GB60 launched in 2017.  Currently Grand Banks produces five models in two range Eastbay and and the reinvented explorer GB line. The Grand Banks line starts with the EB44, and goes up to the recently launched largest GB ever made the GB85, while its newest model is the still in project Eastbay 60 announced in 2022.  Grand Banks new web site takes you around with the following buttons; About Us, Models, Advantage, Purchase, and Connect.
