Project: AB Yachts 125

AB Yachts announce the project for a 125 flagship model, with the first unit selling in end of June, and coming from a client request.  The AB Yachts 125 is based on the current 120 flagship, which launched in March this year and a second unit currently under construction.  The AB Yacht should be very similar to the 120 with the main difference coming for a larger beach club, with opening wing bulk heads which extended this beach-bathing area by about forty per-cent.   Another difference between the 125 and AB Yachts 120 is for a larger tender garage, with the new flagship able to put a tender under eight meters in length.  The interior of the first AB Yachts 125 is fully customized, but for an idea the 120 is offered in four or five double cabins plus crew quarters.  Speed numbers have not been announced but expect forty knots as is standard from any AB Yachts model ever made.

Project: AB Yachts AB 80

AB Yachts present the new AB 80 project, a 24 meter super sport yacht designed by Gruppo Fipa together with Acube Design from Tuscany, a rather new design firm founded by Alessio Benassini and Alessio Merciadri in 2014.  The AB 80 captures important stylistic theme of the Italian boat builder, see curved fins on top of the hard top, and sea water jets propulsion as all AB Yachts models from 50 up to 145 produced thus far.  The AB 80 will feature an accommodation layout of four double guest cabins, with space for two crew in a cabin.  As the choice of jet propulsion makes one understand, performance and power have been always very important themes to AB Yachts, and the AB 80 hull one which is under going final sea trials and delivery tests as this post is out, fits in line with the high standards the Viareggio sport yacht builder is known for. Powered by triple Man 2000hp with MJP water jets hull one of the AB 80 has reached top speeds up to 59 knots, which is five knots more then the estimated 55 knots from calculated simulations.  Impressive to say the least!

This extraordinary performance will be achieved thanks to three MAN engines producing 1900hp each and MJP waterjets. Stepping on board, one will remain impressed with outstanding interior as well as exterior spaces offered by the yacht.  The main saloon, furnished mainly in light grey tones, is inundated with natural light through large lateral windows, thereby creating magical chromatic contrasts. It is divided in a lounging area with a comfortable sofa and a dining area with a fascinating marble table for eight people.  The helm is finished in dove-grey leather and incorporates all the latest technologies in order to guarantee safe and comfortable navigation.  Going down to the lower deck, the space is divided as follows: two guest cabins with double beds, one VIP cabin and one master cabin, all en-suite with private bathrooms.  The master cabin is located amidships and occupies the full beam of the hull. Spacious and bright, it features a very practical walk-in closet and a finely furnished bathroom with a spacious shower for two people.  The tones chosen for the lower deck also tend towards light grey with delightful touches of color provided by bedside table lamps.  The crew and service area is located at the bow and starts with a modern and spacious galley which is fitted with a comfortable crew lounge. For more privacy, the crew area which is composed of two twin cabins and one bathroom, also has a separate access from the outside deck.  The exterior is designed to make the moments spent in open air very comfortable and exciting. Project: AB Yachts 166

AB Yachts shows rendering for the project of a new flagship the 166. Still waiting a signature on the dotted line, it will be a not so long wait of about two years for a complete new custom build, this depending on requested specification for the new AB Yachts flagship.  This model joins other Viareggio builders in presenting mega large super sport yachts with around fifty meters in length, with the AB Yachts being the third in the series. The 166 continues the family feeling of AB Yachts, but a big difference of this new model from its smaller sisters, is that here we have a three decks.  Impressive in the AB Yachts 166 will be the owners stateroom located on the main deck, and apart having two balconies which give abundance of natural light features also a separate access to the pool on the foredeck.  With the AB Yacht 166, Arnaboldi continues his sponsorship of Jet Propulsion, a trademark and specialization of the Viareggio builder, before it was part of the Fipa Group since founded in the nineties, and also a feature of the new flagship.  Sporting also an aggressive underwater Vee-shape hull with deep fore foot the AB 166 will be powered by triple MTU 4600hp engines giving a top speed of 48 knots and a cruise of 40.  Apart these impressive high end performance numbers which is a trademark of AB Yachts a 2500 nautical miles range is possible with  a 12 knots cruise.

New Model: AB Yachts 116

The 116 is the latest new model to come from Massa builder AB Yachts, a brand belonging to the Fipa Group, this one offering Sport Yachts of a unique modern concept with a performing style, slender aggressive hull and smooth lines. The 116 is a smaller version to the 140 introduced in 2007, and is also the third AB Yachts to offer a sport flybridge on top, what has become the latest must have accessory for big super open boats. The 116 interior spaces have been planned to get a unique comfort in an environment able to create a continuity between exterior and interior. When entering from the main aft patio door, the spaciousness, the choice for natural hard woods like Wenge and Durmast, leather fabrics with subtle color, create a salon with a unique impact. Large windows give also the idea of open spaces with the distribution of rooms studied in order to create a unique environment. AB Yachts has conceived also for the 116 another unique design, with a high level approach, that is manifested again in the attention to detail. The main deck is a true loft, and contains a living area with a U-shape saloon settee, followed by a dining table for ten guests, and a fully equipped bar corner. The wheelhouse located centrally is separated from the salon in a very discreet way through a panel that remains at half the height of the room, allowing full visibility of the main deck from any point your are inside. Down below a lightened salon TV room welcomes you to the lower deck. Here to mid ship aft is the spacious owner stateroom, bright thanks to the large view windows on both sides. To fore in the lower deck accommodation is the two twin guest en-suited cabins, and the VIP suite. There is also an additional room that can be used as gym or guest cabin. The crew quarters features the galley, and three cabins with relevant bathrooms. The exterior as any Super Sport Yacht is the symphony of the new AB Yachts 116 and welcomes you on board the cockpit with a unique attention given to the maximization of the spaces for relax like the wide sunbed aft that can be used as a sofa, and again to the fore deck with its private convivial area with table and settee. The sport bridge again repeats the theme of settees, a large sunpad, and a central located sporty second helm station. Like for all AB Yachts, the Massa shipyard 116 is built with Kevlar and resin infused sandwich for both hull and topsides, these aerospace materials guaranteeing lightness and a more solid structure. Three MTU engines of 2400hp each with triple MJP water jets propulsion give wide open throttle speeds of 46 knots to the new AB 116.

New Model: AB Yachts 92 Fly

AB Yachts presents its new 92 Fly. Many would think that this new AB is just a Fly Sport bridge version of the 92, but it is not so having this new model longer and wider hull dimensions.
