Pearl New Web Site

British boat builder Pearl Motor Yachts presents its new web site. Founded in 1998 by Iain Smallridge Pearl started up by developing a line based on the Northern, British looking motor cruiser featuring the master aft cabin typical of the classic UK design. Pearl started up by presenting first a 45 model in the Southampton show of 1999, which was followed in the next four years by a smaller 41, and 43. In the year 2000 Pearl moved to Stratford in Avon, and in 2002 Tony Whittaker, a professional engineer, renowned RYA instructor, and boat owner took the helm of the company. This ownership change took Pearl to the next level and family Whittaker commissioned designs for the next model to renowned designers Bill Dixon, and Evan K. Marshall who presented the ground breaking 55 at the Southampton show of 2003, this model later evolved into the 60 becoming Pearl's best selling yacht. Today Pearl is World wide distributed and builds four Motor and Super Yachts from eighteen to 29 meters designed by Bill Dixon outside and Kelly Hoppen inside.  The Pearl range starts with the 62, 72 launched in 2022, the upcoming 82 project which replaces the 80, and the 95 flagship model launched in 2018. Pearl's web showroom takes you around with the following buttons; Models, Configurator, Inventory, News and Events, Dealer, and Enquiries.  Pearl is also on Social Media with a link at bottom left of the page taking you to its Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages.

Project: Pearl 82

Pearl present the project for a new 82 model, a replacement for the 80 which launched in 2017 and marked the brands entry into 24 meters plus super yachts and sold over ten units in five year production run.  The Pearl 82 is a completely new design which also features a wider hull and a raised pilot house.  Designed by the usual Pearl team of Bill Dixon for exterior and Kelly Hoppen for the décor, the 82 thanks to the raised pilot house will feature a forward full body main deck which fits an owners stateroom.  Thanks to this the lower deck features four cabins giving the Pearl 82 a five cabins at just 25 meters of length.  The Pearl 82 may be outfitted with either of two aft deck arrangements; Riviera or Veranda to match different owners’ lifestyles right on the sea. The Riviera layout places aft facing sun pads behind the table and sofa setup, out under the sun, while the Veranda layout offers versatility with the possibility to pivot the seating between picnic and private patio orientations, always keeping the sea in sight.  Regardless of the owner’s choice, the bulwarks can fold down like wings, expanding and opening the cockpit to the environment. A cleverly hidden garage offers a space for a 3.5 meter jet rib or similar a jet ski size and plenty of water toys.  The Pearl 82 is powered by standard Man 1650hp engines and or optional 1900 or 2000hp engines.  Top speed with the standard engines is 29 knots with the largest 2000hp give a 33 max.

New Model: Pearl 72

Pearl Yachts presented the new 72 to the public for the first time at the 2022 Fort Lauderdale boat show at the end of October, approximately a year after the announcement of the project in Cannes 2021.  The 72 offer to the market is still unique in her class with Pearl design of exteriors from Dixon and interior from Kelly Hoppen CBE now doing all the four model line-up from the 62 to the 95 flagship super yacht. In terms of layout the Pearl 72 makes a unique introduction in this size-class with two master staterooms; one forward with a private entrance as typically seen on larger yachts, and the second for a full beam amidships. In addition to providing an ideal solution for co-owners who enjoy the yacht together, the innovative layout allows owners to enjoy a beautiful view even when moored stern-to in a marina. There are two further en-suite double cabins plus accommodation for the crew, in addition to an exceptional garage with space for a three meter and a half plus tender or jet ski. Fold down balconies at water level also create a beach club for those who enjoy spending time on or close to the water.  The Kelly Hoppen interior show her ever-evolving style, defined by a subtle fusion of clean lines and neutral tones, intuitively balanced with an opulent warmth, honoured with numerous prestigious awards.  The Pearl 72 carries another premiere on board: Kelly’s new “Indulgence” interior design theme. The design intent of this yacht is to capture New York City urban living on water, while enhancing and working with the incredible mechanical features that have been achieved. An array of materials including timber veneers, stone and contrasting metal detailing used and layered throughout to set up enchanting reflections and luxurious tones that fuse the ocean and interiors together.  The Pearl 72 is powered by twin Man 1400hp as standard with optional 1600hp MTU available.  With the later big engines the Pearl 72 has a 32 knots top speed and a cruise of 25 knots.

Project: Pearl 72

Pearl has been on the growing side of things in recent years and for the fall of 2021 it presents the project for a 72 model, filling its range in between the 2020 launched entry level 62 and the pocket super yacht 80 models. Designed by Dixon with interior by Kelly Hoppen the Pearl 72 looks to be a fantastic looking motor yacht outside, and will offer a four double cabins accommodation layout inside.  Two things standout in the lower deck, and that is the spaciousness of both the midships and private entrance forward cabins which makes it difficult for an owner what to choose, and second is the tender garage with space for a rib and a jet-bike.  For those that don't know tender garages are a bit rare sub 24 meters on flybridge yachts.  The Pearl 72 is standard powered by twin Man 1400hp or optional MTU 1600hp engines.

New Model: Pearl 95

To celebrate its twentieth anniversary Pearl launched its new flagship and largest build to date with the Pearl 95. The Pearl 95 continues the successful design collaboration between Bill Dixon responsible for the exterior and naval architecture, and Kelly Hoppen who designs the interior and  takes care of decor. The Pearl 95 is innovative and ground-breaking even more to its smaller sisters, with Bill Dixon offering a modern designed two and half raised pilot house super yacht. The new Pearl flagship enters the British boat builder also into that magical 28 to 29 meter over-all size, with a hull length less to 24 meters which allows for the super yacht to enjoy smaller motor yacht legal status and be allowed to be piloted with a standard yacht master licence.  The Pearl 95 is offered in four or five double cabins layout versions, with an owners stateroom on the forward part of the main deck, with the optional layout replacing the big VIP midships suite, with two VIP rooms.  Crew space is for five persons in three cabins located forward, two shower heads and direct access from the galley on the main deck.  The Pearl 95 is standard powered by twin Cats 1925hp, with optional MTU 2400hp, or 2600hp engines.

Project: Pearl 62

Pearl Yachts is excited to share that the first hull in the new 62 project is currently under construction. Officially unveiled during the Cannes 2019 boat show, this new project features exterior design by English yacht designers Bill Dixon, and interior design by multi-award winning designer Kelly Hoppen MBE.  Both designers are responsible for all new recent Pearl yachts.  The Pearl 62 is on schedule for an official launch in the upcoming 2020 Dusseldorf boat show.  The sleek modern motor yacht will measure just above eighteen meters and will offer a four double guest cabins layout including a full-beam master suite with its own dedicated entrance.  Designed around maximizing owners experience, highlights on-board include spacious flybridge, complete with a fully-equipped bar and BBQ area for memorable Al-fresco dining experiences with friends and family.  Equipped with a choice of twin Volvo engines with IPS pod drives, the Pearl 62 offers top speeds of up to 33 knots and a cruising range of 300 miles. A long-time collaborator with the Pearl Yachts team, Kelly Hoppen has created a chic new design interior theme for the 62.  Modern interior centers around sleek detailing created by contrasting materials and structured bespoke built-in furniture items.  Hoppen's trademark detailing can be found throughout the Pearl 62, from the ribbed walls to the luxurious suede bands on the cushions. All materials and furniture items blend to create a luxurious and modern interior. The 62 was designed to have the four cabins and privacy of her successful predecessor and most popular Pearl to date, the 60 model, but this time with Volvo IPS engines positioned right aft.

New Model: Pearl 80

Pearl Yachts introduces the new 80 model, a super yacht breaking new ground for the yard with impressive maneuverability and exceptional comfort. With a length of 24-meter and a six meter beam, the new big Pearl stands out for the large, luxurious spaces and the outstanding levels of comfort, result of the successful collaboration between naval architect Bill Dixon, who developed the exterior, and designer Kelly Hoppen, in charge of the interior layout. Following a long-term collaboration with the highly acclaimed Dixon Yacht Design, Bill Dixon has once again provided the distinctive exterior styling and hull design for the Pearl 80. Lines are aerodynamic with a huge focus given to both the large windscreen and the three tiers of glazing seen from each side. The generous strip of continuous windows close to the waterline make for an extremely well illuminated lower deck, whilst on the main deck the effect is of a conservatory roof flooding the galley area with light. Seen from the water, the super yacht is reminiscent of a dart or an arrow, crafted for speed and efficiency. Construction is in vacuum infused and the yacht features a white gel coat finish. Following its exclusive relationship with award winning interior designer, Kelly Hoppen MBE, the Pearl 80 is offered with three alternative interior themes; ‘Studio’, ‘Taupe’ and ‘Luxury’. ‘Studio’ is bright and fresh characterized with stripes and rich browns. ‘Taupe’ has pale joinery contrasted by calming earthy tones such as fawns, ivories and warmer grey, whilst ‘Luxury’ has the feel of a chic modern apartment with polished surfaces, nickel and accents of black. Clients can expect plenty of variety in fabrics and textures with highly considered contrasting tonalities. Both darker and lighter woods are used to add a sense of visual depth, whilst high-gloss, white lacquered ceilings provide reflection, adding to the sense of spaciousness. Known for her love of grey and neutral tones, each interior style contains Hoppen’s unmistakable hall marks, ensuring decor schemes that are as timeless as they are elegant. Clients can be sure that onboard they will relax in interiors worthy of a five-star hotel. A suite of Kelly Hoppen curated accessories such as table lights, vases, cushions and candles compliment the design.  Listening to the feedback from clients, Pearl Yachts has adapted the full beam saloon so that space is entirely dedicated to a lounge area of low modular sofas.  A seating area alongside the helm and bar further aft provide alternatives. Extensive specialist glazing maximize light to the saloon, galley and internal helm areas creating bright, open spaces. The galley features a rise and fall panel through to the saloon enabling a social aspect to food preparation and fluidity to the space.  On the lower deck, passing through a small entrance hall, is the spacious full beam owner’s cabin. This means owners get the use of a walk-in closet and a generously proportioned master head. The cabin is flooded with light from panoramic portholes on each side. A sofa and vanity table either side of the large bed and plenty of floor space add to this yacht’s class beating appeal.  Further forward are two twin guest cabins with the option to be converted into doubles. Both with En-suite bathrooms, these cabins are exceptional for the large internal window panel they both feature. This design feature dramatically increases the flow of light and sense of space, whilst touch button blinds can be drawn for complete privacy. Both cabins are illuminated by large portholes.  The VIP cabin is found in the bow and its large bed is unique in its positioning, placed on an angle allowing full walk-around access, as well as room for a sofa and large walk-in closet. The VIP bathroom is also extremely roomy for a yacht this size.  Following client’s request for more discreet service, the laundry, crew accommodation and engine room have a separate access point on the starboard side. Crew are able to access the galley from an external door meaning they don’t disturb guests relaxing in the saloon. Designed to run with two crew, the crew berth is spacious and well-lit for a yacht this size.  When it comes to deck space for socializing and relaxing, the Pearl 80 will not be found wanting. Aware that clients are far more likely to eat on deck than indoors, the yacht boasts three external dining areas; on the flybridge, at the bow and aft of the saloon on the cockpit. Sunbathing pads are located forward on the flybridge and also to the bow. Keeping the extensive entertaining space of the flybridge free from tenders or jet skis was a design priority and consequently they are stowed on the stern, the jet ski in its own garage, and can be launched easily without the deployment of a crane. Once launched, the stern area becomes a large hydraulically lowered bathing platform getting guests close to the water.  With its Vee shaped planing hull, the Pearl 80 delivers impressive maneuverability thanks to its twin Man 1800hp and V-drives line shaft propulsion, this allowing for excellent weight distribution and easier maintenance.

Project: Pearl 65 Flybridge

Pearl presents the project for a 65 Flybridge yacht which will be making its world debut alongside the award-winning 75 at the 2014 Cannes Boat Show.  Just as the Pearl flagship, the 65 follows again the footsteps of the ten feet larger model in a collaboration with award-winning naval architect Bill Dixon and celebrated interior designer, Kelly Hoppen MBE. Since making its debut towards the end of 2012, the flagship, Pearl 75 has been awarded the Best Motor Yacht under 25 meters at the International Yacht and Aviation awards, and received outstanding test reports thanks to its performance, styling and high levels of comfort. For the Pearl 65 Kelly Hoppen continues it's well known effortless, calm and elegant interior style, complete with four luxuriously appointed staterooms. Sleeping quarters for an additional two crew members are located at midships in between the aft located engine room, and the owners stateroom.  The main deck offers an open plan, inside outside saloon allowing for easy, every-day use and alfresco dining. For the 65, Pearl and Bill Dixon opted for a three different propulsion ZF Zeus pods, Volvo IPS, and line shafts. The Pearl 65 Flybridge can be powered by triple Cummins 600hp in ZF pods, Volvo 800hp with IPS forward looking pod drives, and or twin Volvo 900hp with traditional line shaft drives. Speed estimates are for a max of 32 knots, with a range of 350 nautical miles.

New Model: Pearl 75

An important new flagship from Pearl which was presented last September at the Southampton boat show, this is the 75 extending this small volume British builder founded in 1998 size by fifteen feet.  Needless to say the 75 which was announced as project a couple of years ago is an important new model.  Pearl also take new challenges with the 75, the first is that it goes for full Mediterranean motor yacht looks instead of its usual British aft cabin design all its previous models offered, the second is that the 75 is powered by pod drives.  Considering it only needs 1150hp Cat engines to cruise 25 and peak 30 knots that is a huge bonus.  Most motor yachts this size will actually need about an extra 1000hp to reach those speeds, think about the fuel costs this gives.  Inside designer Kelly Hoppen also worked out a wonderful layout with some nice touches; like the main deck which presents itself with a free area on entrance, and a nice VIP suite in the fore cabin.  By the looks of it the Pearl 75 presents itself a real challenge to most production builders in this size, with some nice innovative touches showing it not only wants to be another 23 meter motor yachts but also offering something different.

Project: Pearl 75

British Pearl Yachts presents the project of a new flagship, with the renderings showcasing a 75 model. Surprising its fan and competitors this new flagship project abandons the very British aft cabin design as seen on the previous Pearl models. The Pearl 75 brings together large spaces with luxurious styling and outstanding levels of comfort, added with easy manoeuvrability, a rather large flybridge, jet ski garage, and a hydraulic bathing platform. Vast areas of glass surfaces maximise natural light in the saloon, galley and internal helm areas creating bright, open spaces. While large rectangular bonded glass port lights flood the cabins with sunlight by day, and moonlight by night. The Pearl 75 boasts a standard four cabin eight berth guest interior where multiple layout and styling options ensure each yacht is created to meet personal requirements. Power options are still under confirmation but quadruple pod units are under huge consideration, although this is still to be confirmed. If that will be case this will be the first European build flybridge motor yacht to be powered in this manner. Estimated speeds are for a max of 32 knots, a cruise of 25 knots, and a medium range of 350 nautical miles.
