Project: Aquastar 49S

Aquastar presents its latest development the new 49S model.  The first 49S is already in build, and should launch in coming Spring 2013.  Exterior wise the new 49S captures a lot of the features of the latest 42 launch mixed with those of the bigger Aquastar models, see big view windows for the owners aft cabin and a more higher profile for the second.  Is also interesting how Aquastar wants to make this pure British aft cabin cruiser a bit more of an all around see hard top covered aft deck, and more lean profile in the lines.  I am sure taking note from requests of the bigger models which usually have a more global influenced audience helped here. Aquastar so far is not giving much details both for the interiors and power performance choices.  It will be interesting to see if the layout will follow that of the 48 which offers two cabins and a larger saloon, or go for something more unedited.  At this stage we have to wait for more news from Aquastar.

Project: Aquastar 60 Classic Star

Aquastar presents a new project called 60 Classic Star with traditional yacht looks coming from the pilot boats.  The Aquastar 60 Classic Star will offer a fully customisable layout, although they still show no pictures of the plans and wether below it will be a twin or three cabins choice.  Surely the 60 Classic Stat will have a choice of a Day Saloon, or Aft Cockpit available for the main deck.  I think this will mean whether you opt to go with a patio door or a fully open aft main deck.  Aquastar says the hull of the 60 is fully derived from working pilot boats, with a tweak for added performance and a dry ride. Diverse propulsion choices are also part of the 60 Classic Star from twin jet drives with minimum draft, to triple IPS pods choices, or traditional line shafts.  In any case with the largest and most efficient option Aquastar says a top speed of 38 knots is to be expected.

Project: Aquastar 75

Following the success of the Aquastar 74, which has been in production for ten years the Jersey company releases details of a new replacement 75 model project. The new Aquastar 75 is styled by Design Unlimited and shows, strength and integrity with contemporary looks. Aquastar boats are known for all round sea keeping ability and this new luxury vessel retains all of those qualities which have been proven over many years on commercial boats. A further benefit is a very comfortable hull in a head sea that will not suffer pounding of a planing hull driven at speed. Owners can sleep in comfort on passage and enjoy arriving at their destination fully refreshed. With the latest technology built in at every stage, it goes without saying she will be fitted with full stabilization that also works at anchor. The Aquastar can also be easily handled by two people, being fitted with remotely controlled hydraulic bow and stern thrusters. The bathing deck platform is hydraulically operated which gives easy access to the water and makes the launching of a tender simple. The interior has an imaginative layout and offers a custom accommodation pla with an efficient helm station. Power for the Aquastar 75 is twin Cats 1150hp shaft drive as the standard fit which has an estimated project top speed of 24 knots, and a smaller 860hp is available as option.

Aquastar have built a fabulous track record of their award winning 74, and 80 semi-displacement long range fuel efficient yachts. Now the Guernsey builder challenges the market with its biggest project to date presenting the good looking 85 Azure. The 85 Azure is the most modern looking Aquastar to date, and is the second model from to go above the eight foot mark offering what is also referred to an entry level super yacht. It will be powered by twin Cats C18 1500hp each which will give her a cruise in the ten to eighteen knots range. Aquastar thoughts are to offer a live aboard long range four cabin traditional planned lower deck, with crew accommodation for three members aft. Main deck is a spacious split level with the welcoming area aft featuring a large saloon, and dining table for eight persons. Up one step you get to the fore part which has the pilot house, and a separate galley. Interior is a semi custom plan giving the owner free hands with layout and decor with input from the Aquastar team as required. Designed by Aquastar own team the 85 Azure will have a semi displacement hull which to UK builders say will be second to none in its sea-keeping, and good engineering from construction standards up to the smoothest navigation giving a quiet smooth ride.
