A twelve meter flybridge cruiser started to sink as it was moored in Cala Comte, to the West of Ibiza on an Instagram reel which which was shared the morning of Wednesday sixth August. The story was shared on the vg.boats page on Instagram with very little specifics on the accident. The boat was swing moored in the area, looking to be in cruising mode were for an unknown reason it started to taking on water sinking stern first. Ultimately the boat sank just under the flybridge deck as a recovery operation came to assist, with a rib, to start a re-floating operation.
The Rodman in this sinking is a 41 model as produced from 2001 to 2007. The 41 was an important step for the Spanish builder, which up till this model build mostly fishing focused cruisers. The 41 was replaced by the Rodman Muse 44.
